Uhhhh ok.. consumers foot the bill for inefficient energy distribution EVERY YEAR FOR YEARS AND YEARS. Google "Do Utility companies get fined", ITS FACT YOU PAY MORE IN ELECTRIC BILLS BECAUSE OF THE UTILITY COMPANY INABILITY TO DISTRIBUTE EFFICIENTLY. If the modern day cap banks are so useful and have been being used for decades why are there hand over hand more blackouts and congestion related problems year after year? Why is it only getting worse? With all the brilliant minds why hasn't there been a solution? All problems have solutions. PAS IS ONE OF THEM. Call it whatever you want to, even Elon Musk has haters/doubters and hes one of the most eccentric and brilliant minds we have seen since Hawking.

Yea, all this doesn’t matter.. when the public numbers are this sharp.

Seriously... you are too emotionally attached.

A little more information that might help you .....

VARs (Volt Amps of Reactive Power) is one of the most misunderstood terms in the esoteric vernacular of the electric industry- even by the majority of electrical engineers.

The utility generates and delivers nothing but Alternating Current-volts x Amps = Kilowatts - ONLY! No VARS no capacitance, just Kilowatts.
Volt Amps are converted to VARS in the phase shift created when the current goes through the motor’s coil and the voltage goes across it. No capacitor is required to operate the motor and capacitors do not magnetize anything.

If the motor has an .80 power factor it consumes 80% of the VARs and 20% attempts to return to the generator.

The capacitors come into play in an attempt to prevent the return trip. The treatment of capacitors determines how successful you are. The PAS is .992 successful.
