If the modern day cap banks are so useful and have been being used for decades why are there hand over hand more blackouts and congestion related problems year after year? VARs (Volt Amps of Reactive Power) is one of the most misunderstood terms in the esoteric vernacular of the electric industry- even by the majority of electrical engineers.
The utility generates and delivers nothing but Alternating Current-volts x Amps = Kilowatts - ONLY! No VARS no capacitance, just Kilowatts.
