And they make it easy to blame the doctors for a system that they don’t even control anymore. Don’t get me wrong. Some of the blame lies with us. But patients in the 11 years I have been practicing have never been more apathetic about their health

This is why I support administration of single payer on a state, not a federal level, fewer layers of politics. But the jist of the article was the impact of the medical hierarchy, not the political one.

Healthcare costs are always rising for lots of reasons. The following source looks less dramatic than the above numbers..... Although these are per capita and not per family. 2013 @ $9,129 - 2017 @ $10,739, not that out of the ordinary.
