I disagree with your statement mainly because it contains too many absolutes. I don't see in your statement where you are factoring in the extra time it takes to grow that bigger plant. Could mean up to an extra harvest per year is gained by going smaller. And smaller plants can be placed closer together, so if anything, you're getting the same yield (if not a little more because you have more root systems supporting the buds), and an extra harvest - all due to the size and number of plants in that same canopy space.

I also believe the number of higher quality buds can increase because of the smaller size. Bigger plants may have more top surface area, but they also have lower, lesser-quality, branches that suck away energy to the top.

It's all about the yield and quality.

I guess we'll find out because SIGO has many, many harvest to come. Time will tell.
