In days gone by 4/20 was around the time for outdoor planting in North Cali.
Free sunshine , maximum light , perfect environmental conditions and altitude.
Mostly soil grown with tilt towards organic.
Minimal work needed to tend them. They are know as Guerrilla Grows because the farmers would be in and out quickly, spending as little time as possible on site.
The result HUGE tree like plants yielding many 10s of pounds in weight from each plant.
Tiers of plants with supplemental light are fantastic for the winter months but a waste of effort and loans for summer time.
Hot Californian summer sun shining into a greenhouse containing 1000's of grow lights and other electricals in an enclosed & sealed (?) area , cooling down to productive, healthy temperatures could be one issue.
Can't really use in/out fans for fear of air borne pathogens or bugs.
A/C would be the alternative, good job it's super cheap to run as are 1000's of lights versus that pesky full spectrum , free to use sunshine.
Nature works well at growing plants.
