Is there any update on Entrust's countersuit?

It could be that SFOR decided to "settle" because discovery in the countersuit could be damaging to them.

It is just as likely that the 2 companies agreed to settle for nothing if Entrust agreed to go away as it is that SFOR got anything out of the settlement.

Exactly ZPaul! ;-)

I have been wondering about the license deals to the customers of ALL the current litigation infringers! Their partner lists are quite large, very impressive and have Big Guns with the likes of Google and Apple, etc. One of your posts a while back got me thinking about it even more and after checking their websites - WOW!

Having said that, I think have a better understanding why Mr. Kay/Team SFT chose the current Companies (that offer security type platforms to the ecosystem) first. They get settlement funds that also includes license packages - current litigation infringers can then legally continue to license to their customers, SFT still gets paid and SFT doesn't need to go after the others for infringing.

I cannot thank you enough for your stellar DD - OUTSTANDING sir!

$SFOR/SFT STRONG!!!!

ZPaul and others,
It's intriguing to speculate about what makes this settlement case atypically complex, as mentioned in the request to the court for delay until Oct 27. Could the unusual complexity have to do with the reach of the royalty agreement throughout the numerous divisions and countries you mentioned. Too bad we don't have the international patent yet.
