Significantly with FTPM, why I disagree...

I disagree primarily for two reasons...

First Reason...

http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=125737023
Quote:

FTPM**FINRA & SEC Legitimacy Confirmation

The difference between FTPM and most of those other marijuana companies is that FTPM was confirmed to be a legit company with legitimate operations by FINRA and the SEC. I'll further elaborate.

On Nov 9, 2015... the company changed its name to 420 Property Management, Inc. and changed its ticker to FTPM. This is a change that must be approved by FINRA and the SEC:
http://420prop.com/420-property-management-announces-appointment-of-ceo-and-finra-approvals/

This is important to note because what some people might not be aware of is that FINRA is the governing authority for approving such a name and ticker change. What some people also might not be aware of is that FINRA coordinates with the SEC for further validation of legitimacy and to make sure that there are no issues existing with the public entity and the management. The process with going through FINRA is very stringent as you must prove the legitimacy of your assets, operations, management, etc.

So regardless to what one might think or choose to believe, FTPM has been validated by FINRA and the SEC to move forward with continuing to mature their marijuana operations in California as it was presented very clearly what their operations would be. I think we are in good hands here with FTPM.

Second Reason...

Rainmaker, per the “7” Properties per FTPM

I share your same sentiments. I called the company today and the person I spoke to confirmed that what's on the FTPM website is correct regarding their 7 properties. He told me that they have tenants that are leasing from all 7 of the FTPM properties and that everything is going very well with their operations. He told me that the company is working on a few projects and should have news released soon, but he is not sure of an exact day. Anyone can call him at the number listed on OTC Markets:
http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/FTPM/profile

The potential here with FTPM is absolutely huge considering that 60% is expected to vote yes for legalizing marijuana in California this coming Nov 2016 as you have indicated below:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=125752287
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=125752723

California represents the largest bulk of the Marijuana Industry which is why being positioned here in FTPM could prove to be very rewarding in the short, mid, and long terms. Let’s do the math from this edited version of FTPM**FACT 4 within the post below:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=125674671

FTPM to date, has already closed on seven properties in the Anza Valley of Southern California and in Perris, California ranging from 5 to 35 acres in size, with ample research and development space. This means a minimum amount of acres below as I will further elaborate:

Property 1 = 5 acres
Property 2 = 5 acres (minimum)
Property 3 = 5 acres (minimum)
Property 4 = 5 acres (minimum)
Property 5 = 5 acres (minimum)
Property 6 = 5 acres (minimum)
Property 7 = 35 acres

The minimum amount of acres for properties 2 through 6 is 5 acres per property. This means a total of 25 acres for properties 2 through 6 and a total of 40 aces for properties 1 and 7 combined. This is a grand total of 65 acres minimum that FTPM has closed on in the Anza Valley of Southern California and in Perris, California that are currently in operations for FTPM.

Now consider the 65 acres in relation to this article below which has concluded that 1 acre of land can generate $19 Million in Revenues from marijuana with almost all of it to be profit:
Quote:

One Acre of Land Creates $19 Million in Revenues—Growing Marijuana
http://www.capoliticalreview.com/capoliticalnewsandviews/one-acre-of-land-creates-19-million-in-revenues-growing-marijuana/

Considering the confirmation of FTPM having a minimum of 65 acres, then FTPM… if they maximize such value per acre… as mentioned within the article above… would warrant the amount below in Revenues based on the article above…

65 Acres x $19,000,000 = $1,235,000,000

Again, most of that would be profit (or Net Income).

By all means, I am not saying that FTPM is a billion dollar company because they would have to maximize the growth potential of each acre. However, I am saying that it would only take for FTPM to mature a ”small fraction” of what has been publicly deemed to be the maturation potential from their properties and I think one would conclude that FTPM is significantly undervalued here at these levels. Please, don’t shoot the messenger. I didn’t write the article saying one acre of land creates $19 Million in revenues from growing Marijuana. I am only considering the thoughts from the article in comparison to FTPM having already closed on at least 65 acres that are currently in operations being leased to tenants.

PharmaCyte Biotech, Inc. (OTCQB:PMCB), a clinical stage biotechnology company focused on developing targeted treatments for cancer and diabetes using its signature live-cell encapsulation technology, Cell-in-a-Box®, today announced that its research partner, the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), has submitted abstracts for the presentation of two scientific papers at the 253rd American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meeting & Exposition in San Francisco, California, April 2-6, 2017.
The ACS National Meeting provides chemistry professionals a forum to meet, share ideas and advance scientific and technical knowledge. The theme of the upcoming meeting is “Advanced Materials, Technologies, Systems & Processes.” PharmaCyte’s Cannabis research at UNC fits the theme perfectly since it revolves around utilization of PharmaCyte’s proprietary Cell-in-a-Box® technology. The papers will be presented by Dr. Richard M. Hyslop, Principal Investigator and Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UNC and his students.

PharmaCyte’s Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth L. Waggoner, commented “We are very pleased with the ongoing progress at UNC. The upcoming ACS meeting provides an ideal venue to present two more scientific papers that have been generated from the work being done by Dr. Hyslop and his team as well as showcase the versatility of Cell-in-a-Box® as an advanced therapeutic platform.”

The first paper is titled “Development of a cannabinoid-based Cell-in-a-Box® therapeutic system targeted toward malignant tumors.” This aspect of the UNC research investigates the feasibility of a patented cell-encapsulation technology in which cells producing enzymes capable of converting an inactive phytocannabinoid prodrug into an active anti-cancer drug are encapsulated in a cellulose-based porous polymer, which can be injected immediately upstream from a tumor. Then, an administered phytocannabinoid prodrug can be activated by the encapsulated cells at the site of the tumor. The paper describes how, using both specific phytocannabinoids and model compounds, a variety of cell lines have been screened for the appropriate enzymatic activity to convert an inactive cannabinoid prodrug into an active drug. Five cell lines have been observed to produce the desired enzyme and are being further assessed with specific phytocannabinoid prodrugs.

The second paper is titled “In vitro anti-neoplastic activity of specific phytocannabinoids of Cannabis sativa.” As part of a more in-depth study to develop a cannabinoid-based targeted treatment of malignant tumors, the in vitro effects of select cannabinoids on several human cancer cell lines have been investigated, including glioblastoma, pancreatic, breast, melanoma, lung and colon. The paper describes how single-cell layer cultures were treated with increasing levels of a purified cannabinoid and details the resultant changes in cancer cell populations. Initial results suggest that this cannabinoid possesses potent anti-proliferative effects against several types of cancer cells. Studies continue to assess this cannabinoid with several cancer cell lines, and it may represent a viable candidate for further therapeutic evaluation.

Dr. Hyslop has been involved in cancer research for four decades and is leading a team of scientists from UNC to develop a “green” approach to treating solid tumors, initially brain cancer. “We are looking forward to sharing some of our results with the scientific community,” commented Dr. Hyslop. “Our team of biochemists, organic chemists, molecular biologists, genetic engineers, undergraduate students, and graduate students continue to work diligently to achieve our goal of developing targeted cannabinoid-based chemotherapy utilizing Cell-in-a-Box®.”

About PharmaCyte Biotech
PharmaCyte Biotech a clinical stage biotechnology company developing therapies for cancer and diabetes based upon a proprietary cellulose-based live cell encapsulation technology known as “Cell-in-a-Box®.” This technology will be used as a platform upon which therapies for several types of cancer and diabetes are being developed. PharmaCyte’s therapy for cancer involves encapsulating genetically engineered human cells that convert an inactive chemotherapy drug into its active or “cancer-killing” form. These encapsulated cells are implanted as close to the patient’s cancerous tumor as possible. Once implanted, a chemotherapy drug that is normally activated in the liver (ifosfamide) is given intravenously at one-third the normal dose. The ifosfamide is carried by the circulatory system to where the encapsulated cells have been implanted. When the ifosfamide comes in contact with the encapsulated cells they act as an artificial liver and activate the chemotherapy drug at the source of the cancer. This “targeted chemotherapy” has proven effective and safe to use in past clinical trials and results in no side effects.

In addition to developing a novel therapy for cancer, PharmaCyte is developing a treatment for Type 1 diabetes and insulin-dependent Type 2 diabetes. PharmaCyte plans to encapsulate a human cell line that has been genetically engineered to produce, store and release insulin in response to the levels of blood sugar in the human body. The encapsulation will be done using the Cell-in-a-Box® technology. Once the encapsulated cells are implanted in a diabetic patient they will function as a “bio-artificial pancreas” for purposes of insulin production.

What Will The Marijuana Industry Look Like in California After Going Fully Legal
Marijuana Trends & ArticlesNov 14, 2016

http://marijuanastocks.com/category/featured/

California’s market for marijuana is estimated to be worth over $6 billion in 4 years after voters approved a measure on the ballot allowing for the recreational use of marijuana. Marijuana will be taxed under a higher rate than tobacco, funded like risky Silicon Valley startups, and grown under immense scrutiny. However, these changes will not be immediate as California has over a year to start rolling out these new changes.

Big corporations may be hesitant to invest and participate in the marijuana industry given acreage limits, which bans federal banks from participating in anything marijuana related. These laws also prevent movement of marijuana across state borders, which can cause potential political issues. California already has an advantage due to the number of medicinal dispensaries already open; California’s local medicinal cannabis industry has spent the past 6 years doing marijuana research and obtaining permits for opening more dispensaries.

There are over 100 dispensaries in Los Angeles who do not currently have a physical permit, a gray area that will be decided on in March on whether they need to get a physical permit in order to continue operating. Marijuana will be taxed at the rate of $9.25 per ounce, a 15% excise tax, and all other local and state taxes. In addition, growing will also be taxed at the rate of $15 per square foot. The high tax rates, as well as the security measures required for selling marijuana, places more importance on the regulation of these “gray market” sellers who are avoiding the taxes and normal regulations.

As of right now, Proposition 64 limits growing to about half an acre indoors and an acre outdoors, however these limits will be lifted by 2023. As of right now this will mean that there will be many small-medium sized growers offering many different varieties of marijuana, similar to small-scale wineries and craft beer producers. Having a limit on growing does restrain these companies and growers from reaping the benefits of economies of scale, keeping marijuana prices higher than if they were allowed to consolidate and have a larger corporation growing.

When the limits are lifted in 2023, smaller growers could see an increasing amount of competition from large tobacco companies and pharmaceuticals. Large tobacco companies already have the experience and resources for growing large scale plants; even though growing marijuana is a different type of process, we can expect the tobacco industries to want to get in to this lucrative business.

The large variety of marijuana plants could turn the industry into something more similar to the craft beer industry or specialized coffee. Consumers will require a knowledgeable person at the dispensaries to guide their decisions and to inform them of all the varieties, similar to a barista at a coffee shop.

Since marijuana is still a Schedule One controlled substance, no federally regulated bank can get involved in financing any marijuana ventures or touching its profits, which is why venture capitalists are very important to this industry. Overall, we can expect this new law to open up opportunities for many small-medium sized growers while allowing consumers to enjoy the many different varieties that will soon be more widely available to them.

FLexMOD: New Easy-Bake Oven For Weed?
Marijuana Trends & ArticlesNov 14, 2016

[-chart]marijuanastocks.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/lab-700x454.jpg[/chart]

You might have seen stories about on the news about people blowing up their apartment building tying to make butane hash oil or other concentrates. The explosions result in injuries, plenty of property damage and other times death. While these seem like crazy flukes and people not understanding how to use chemicals, it is not only people’s homes who are having these incidents. Higher Level Concentrates in Oregon had a recent explosion as well. These cases have caused Oregon Health Authority to lay down the law and enforce strictly the recent regulations put in place concerning the production on concentrates.

“In Oregon, as of January 1, if your operation is not in compliance with state public safety regulations working with volatile gases — butane, hexane, any of these gases that can create hydrocarbon gas — you are going to be out of business,” Dano Keys, CEO and Founder of FlexMod Solutions, told The Marijuana Times.

“Across the nation, hundreds of licensees that have gotten by with the equipment they had, are now not going to be able to. When they were just ‘getting by’ they were lucky no one got hurt. When an accident occurs with butane gas and you read about people blowing themselves up, they’re not following protocol and they don’t have a safe environment.”

The real problem facing companies is figuring out a way to meet the regulations while maintaining the company’s bottom line. However, it isn’t cheap to find materials or spaces to make cannabis concentrates, after all you can’t just go to Lowe’s and pick up a shed. This is why FlexMOD designed their modular extraction labs. Imagine everything you need to be compliant with the laws and safe rolled into a space where you can work. Like the Easy-Bake oven provides a safe space to create, is compliant with government laws, and is the most cost-efficient option, the FlexMOD does the same.

Most cannabis business owners don’t have the time or expertise to create their own compliant extraction rooms. That is why FlexMOD did the research and work for them. As Dano explained to us, compliance and safety cost money.

“The components that are built into these labs, are very expensive and getting them engineered to work together in this system is difficult,” he said. “The components are manufactured for Class 1 Division 1 hazardous environments and are built not to create a spark. Our labs also have a specialized computer system that regulates it all. You put all these together and you know you got a pretty specialized room.”

Dano described some of the modular extraction lab’s key features:

“Let me give you a little bit of the mechanics of this room, so you get a better idea. Everything in here is very specialized for preventing an explosion or a blast. The way the room is designed is to also create an environment that’s conducive for cannabis extraction. We made sure this works well for someone working with plant material and so it’s been specially designed for that, and there’s a slight breeze that’s constantly flowing through. It’s enough wind current to disperse gas.”

The FlexMOD modular extraction labs are armed with a gas detection alarm system. When minimal levels of hazardous gas are detected, the alarm system will initiate an indicator on the alarm. If gas levels continue to increase, the system will trigger a loud alarm, initiate an auxiliary exhaust system, and shut down power to the equipment inside the room. These things will take place long before the regulatory standard dangerous gas levels are reached.

The lab is designed to prevent sparks that cause explosions and everything in the lab works towards preventing dangerous occurrences. Every unit has spark-proof exhaust fans. These fans, along with the temperature controlled air unit, use 100% outside fresh air to deliver the essential air flow rate over the equipment. The system uses slightly negative pressure within the lab to stop hazardous gasses
gasses from leaking into nearby areas.

The electrical distribution panel is weatherproof and located on the exterior of the unit, therefore out of the hazardous area. The entry door is made of steel and has an automatic close, panic exit device, and more weather seals. The creators of this product thought of everything and nothing was left to chance. The FlexMOD is the future of safe extraction labs.

The Difference Between CBDs And THC
Marijuana Trends & ArticlesNov 11, 2016

http://marijuanastocks.com/category/featured/

The controversial question surrounding cannabis, THC and CBD remains. How can THC a substance in cannabis have such a profound, significant effect on mental processes yet CBD, another substance in cannabis does not? The answer lies within the cell membranes found in the brain and central nervous systems; specifically, the cannabinoid 1 (CB1) receptors found in these membranes. The difference between THC a potent psychoactive and CBD boils down to the manner in which they interact with the CB1 receptor. THC binds well with CB1 cannabinoid receptors and CBD has low binding affinity for CB1 receptors.

Compare them to the pieces of a puzzle. A THC molecule is perfectly shaped to fit into the puzzle; which when connected, activates or stimulates the CB1 receptors. As per researchers; THC is a CB1 receptor agonist, which means THC works to activate CB1 receptors. THC is a “key” that so closely resembles anandamide aka “the bliss molecule,” that it actually activates CB1 receptors, allowing it to produce blissful feelings. Animal studies have taught us that anandamide can increase appetite and enhance pleasure associated with food consumption, and it’s likely responsible for some of the rewarding effects of exercise (e.g. the “runner’s high”). Anandamide also plays a role in memory, motivation, and pain.

CBD is categorized as an antagonist of CB1 agonists and is not a good fit with CB1 receptors. This means that it doesn’t act directly to activate or suppress CB1 receptors—rather, it acts to suppress the CB1-activating qualities of a cannabinoid like THC. In other words, when you ingest THC and CBD, the THC directly stimulates those CB1 receptors, while the CBD acts as a kind of modulating influence on the THC. As Project CBD co-founder Martin Lee once wrote: “CBD opposes the action of THC at the CB1 receptor, thereby muting the psychoactive effects of THC.”

This difference in psychoactivity has had profound political implications. As the founders of Project CBD have noted, some have mistakenly labeled THC the “bad cannabinoid” and CBD the “good cannabinoid.” Legislators have passed many “CBD-only” laws in Southern states in an effort to allow patients access to this potent cannabinoid while prohibiting its psychoactive sibling. But the pioneering cannabis researcher Raphael Mechoulam has often spoken of the “entourage effect,” the idea that cannabinoids and terpenes may work better together than in isolation. The GW Pharma product Sativex, for example, is a drug approved outside the U.S. for treatment of MS-related muscle spasticity. Sativex contains with a nearly 1:1 CBD-to-THC ratio. As researchers learn more about CBD and the role of other cannabinoids and compounds in the treatment of conditions like MS, we may be able to more accurately dose CBD in combination with other cannabis-derived compounds.

some thoughts fer us'ins my friend/420 Property Mgmt. Inc. (FTPM)
my thoughts about the FTPM filings...

I see your logic. Having an Outstanding Shares (OS) amunt of 617,183,845 shares still is not a bad OS:
http://www.otcmarkets.com/financialReportViewer?symbol=FTPM&id=162741

I can't say it enough how I was in SGBY and was upset and disappointed with its dilution. Heck, they diluted their OS to be over 800+ million shares. I didn't go back and pour salt on the wounds of investors that remained there that weathered the storm all the way down to .0004 per share. I simply sold and moved on.

Then a little while later, SGBY went over .05+ per share while going from being quiet to releasing plenty of updates over a consistent basis. It was a lesson learned for me. I will exercise what I have learned about being patient here with FTPM.

Also, I am still in CGRA. They have lots of oil and gas assets, marijuana asset connections, $2.7 billion in dolomite assets, and some other assets of which if you were to go to their filings, you won't see such reflecting such. We were over there fighting about the belief of their assets even when the stock was in the .000s and later the stock has gone to .03+ per share and has since stabilized in the .015 to .02 per share range. Investors made the decision to believe in them and what they have because the company has stated that they own these assets while not seeing them in their filings.

I can name a few other stocks that simply do not have their assets listed in their filings as of yet and still investors have made the decision to believe what the company is saying.

I have called and spoken to two different people at FTPM and both have stated that FTPM own the assets. Sometime companies don't file those assets into their filings until they believe that it is strategically ready for the company to move forward.

As for some of the selling that has been going on... think about... for all of the selling of shares going on... sombody has been quietly buying those shares. I believe that there is a friendly that is buying the debt out of the shares sold into the open market to allow for a smoother facilitation of shares to be managed without having any restircitions on them.

Think about it... it stated within their filings that the debt was being negotiated. Also, if it were you doing the buying, would you want the company to release news for the price to go up so that you would have to pay higher prices for those shares when you are the friendly that is doing the company a favor or would you want the company to remain somewhat quiet so that you can get as many shares as possible as cheap as possible to clean things up?

nice write up/I went ahead and tried a trade for Bayport International (OTCPK:BAYP). The original Seeking Alpha blog is here. The trade follows:

http://seekingalpha.com/instablog/3646631-anthony-cataldo/4938613-bayport-international-trade-just-fun?uprof=46&isDirectRoadblock=true

this was gambling, but I have had a good year and I like to gamble. I suspect that when a stock gets down to $0.0002, you might only be able to lose 50%. On the other hand, I have seen too many marijuana stocks go from these deep, subpenny levels to pennies, dimes and dollars, for very high returns. So, I like the risk/reward for this type of trade.

Bayport is setting the stage for early 2017:

good news for idgc portfolio/ from our friend, PYHH Osceola Gold Secures Final Tranche of Funding and Organizes to Commence Gold Processing Operations

http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=127306824

STEUBENVILLE, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 12/20/16 -- Osceola (OTC PINK: PYHH) is pleased to announce that the Mine is slated to be open for full scale operations imminently. Plans are to finalize the 43101 as seasonal preparations are concluded in anticipation of the impending launch of mining operations.

Having just recently secured the final tranche of funding, Osceola Gold has elected to launch production immediately, although still in the winter season. Chris Tarquino, Chief Executive Officer, Osceola Gold Inc. stated: "Our original plan of action consisted of a Spring launch of operations, however, after a series of meetings, we are pleased to reveal that we will be equipped and ready to process throughout the remainder of the Winter as well. The crew has spent the last week preparing the mine for winterized operations, and believe that every consideration to enable seamless production has been facilitated."

The Company has embarked on the drilling of 6 to 8 core drill holes for the compiling of data required to file a National Instrument 43-101 ("NI 43-101") resource report. Mr. David Bending, well known in the industry for his robust knowledge and acquired skill, brings 25 years of exploration, mining and corporate development experience with major mining companies to the table, including a 14- year tenure with Homestake Mining Company, where he served as Exploration Manager in Latin America. He is a Professional Geologist certified by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of British Columbia. Mr. Bending is an honors B.Sc. Geology graduate from University of Oregon and also completed his M. Sc. at University of Toronto in Mineral Deposits Geology, Geochemistry, Geochemistry and Geophysics.

The Company recently announce that testing had concluded at the mine with the evaluation of 22 test holes spanning the 20-acre claim, including the famous Hogum Tunnel which historically, between the years of 1910 and 1940, had produced 5 million dollars in gold, a weight equivalent to 400 million at today's prices. Osceola Gold also announced recently that the Company had successfully completed its advanced satellite subsurface GeoScan evaluation, with results that revealed gold saturation in both target areas tested. Based on data derived through satellite deep scanning of the areas tested on the Mav g property, the first hotspot revealed an average of 5 - 8 grams per ton was discovered in terrain from 0 to 78 feet deep. The second hot spot which runs from surface to 13 feet deep on an average, revealed 15 grams or higher and two pay streaks underneath averaging 4 to 8 grams per ton.

Mining in the Osceola District, White Pine County Nevada, was launched in the 1870's and continues to this day. Major efforts were put forth in the late 1800's, 1930's and 1970's with both lode and placer mining striking success with the removal of considerable amounts of gold. Studies conducted throughout these periods indicate economically viable amounts of gold in both the bedrock and in particular, the placer deposits that remain. PharmaCyte Biotech’s Cannabinoid Therapy May Offer Potential for Childhood Brain Cancers

PharmaCyte Biotech, Inc. (OTCQB:PMCB), a clinical stage biotechnology company focused on developing targeted treatments for cancer and diabetes using its signature live-cell encapsulation technology, Cell-in-a-Box®, today announced that recent research performed at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine and published in the journal Child’s Nervous System provides further support for PharmaCyte’s efforts to develop a targeted cannabinoid-based chemotherapy for brain cancer utilizing its technology.

The article, titled “Spontaneous involution of pediatric low-grade gliomas: high expression of cannabinoid receptor 1 (CNR1) at the time of diagnosis may indicate involvement of the endocannabinoid system,” showed that activators of the endocannabinoid system offer potential therapeutic opportunities for children with pediatric low-grade gliomas (P-LGG). P-LGGs consist of a mixed group of brain tumors that represent the majority of central nervous system tumors in children. Some P-LGGs exhibit spontaneous shrinking after less than total surgical removal. For the first time, spontaneous shrinking of P-LGG has been suggested to be induced by endocannabinoids.

PharmaCyte’s Chief Executive Officer, Kenneth L. Waggoner, commented, “It is clear that PharmaCyte is on the right track to developing targeted therapies for deadly cancers. The research reported in the journal Child’s Nervous System, as well as other research, continues to demonstrate the anti-cancer properties of cannabinoids. We remain confident that Cell-in-a-Box® offers a safe and versatile platform for targeted chemotherapy delivery to cancerous tumors in the brain.”

The researchers investigated molecular indicators of spontaneous shrinking in P-LGGs and found that tumors that remained stable or had spontaneous shrinking after surgery had significantly higher levels of expression of the CNR1 gene at the time of diagnosis. They hypothesize that high expression levels of CNR1 make P-LGGs more susceptible to the anticancer effects of normally occurring substances in the body known as endocannabinoids. By extension, plant-derived phytocannabinoid molecules, such as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), may provide similar effects through their known interaction with endocannabinoid receptors like CNR1.

An abstract of the research may be viewed at: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/27613640

PharmaCyte’s cannabinoid program at the University of Northern Colorado involves developing a bioengineered cell line that will activate a cannabinoid-based prodrug into its cancer-killing form and then encapsulating these cells using the Cell-in-a-Box® encapsulation technology. When the capsules are implanted near the tumor and the cannabinoid prodrug is administered to a patient, targeted chemotherapy results. Prodrugs of THC and CBD are candidates for this program, and brain cancer is PharmaCyte’s initial target using this cannabinoid therapy.

Mark L. Rabe, MD, a member of PharmaCyte’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Board, commented, “It is fascinating to think the body has built-in anti-cancer capabilities in the form of the endocannabinoid system. Cell-in-a-Box® offers an ideal way to leverage the endocannabinoid system’s power by delivering THC and CBD to brain tumors like P-LGG in a targeted fashion, with the potential benefits of enhanced efficacy and fewer side effects.”

About PharmaCyte Biotech
PharmaCyte Biotech is a clinical stage biotechnology company developing therapies for cancer and diabetes based upon a proprietary cellulose-based live cell encapsulation technology known as “Cell-in-a-Box®.” This technology will be used as a platform upon which therapies for several types of cancer and diabetes are being developed.

Once the encapsulated cells are implanted in a diabetic patient they will function as an “bio-artificial pancreas” for purposes of insulin production.

Rhode Island lawmakers push to legalize marijuana/PMCB : Rhode Island lawmakers push to legalize marijuana

Jan. 12, 2017 3:47 AM ET|By: Yoel Minkoff, SA News Editor
For the seventh consecutive year, Rhode Island lawmakers plan to introduce legislation that would legalize recreational use of marijuana instead of a ballot initiative.

http://seekingalpha.com/news/3234832-rhode-island-lawmakers-push-legalize-marijuana?uprof=46&dr=1#email_link

Advocates are hopeful that the proposal might finally get a vote this time, because Rhode Island residents can simply buy the drug in neighboring Massachusetts.
The state approved recreational use in a November ballot.

About PharmaCyte Biotech
PharmaCyte Biotech is a clinical stage biotechnology company developing therapies for cancer and diabetes based upon a proprietary cellulose-based live cell encapsulation technology known as “Cell-in-a-Box®”. This technology will be used as a platform upon which therapies for several types of cancer and diabetes are being developed.

'PharmaCyte Biotech Inc. (PMCB)'
re;
$PMCB Bullet Points from the Call with respect to the pre-IND meeting PMCB:

1• We had a great meeting with the FDA.

2• Those individuals from CBER who spoke were very enthusiastic about our product.

3• They told us we are on the right track.

4• We have agreement on the cell line that will be used in the clinical trial.

5• We have agreement on the patient population to be studied in the clinical trial.

6• We have agreement on the comparator arms that would be acceptable to the FDA in a pivotal clinical trial.

7• We have agreement on the key design aspects of a pivotal clinical study.

8• We discussed and have agreement on the primary efficacy endpoints for a pivotal clinical trial.

9• We discussed and have agreement on the number of patients needed to comprise an adequate safety database for a Biologics Licensing Application for CypCaps™.

10• We discussed exploratory clinical study designs.

11• We have agreement that the next step for PharmaCyte is to submit an IND.

12• We have confirmed that the FDA believes this is a drug device combination product.

13• Currently, there is still a “hard stop” at the six-month mark after a certain number of patients have been enrolled in the trial. This may change to when 50% of the patients have been treated. This will be part of the new trial design and won’t be finalized until the entire study synopsis has been revised to reflect what occurred at the pre-IND meeting.

14• Most importantly, the primary endpoints of the trial may change as a result of our dialogue with the FDA. Going into the pre-IND meeting, our primary endpoints were Progression Free Survival (PFS) and safety.
They may change to Overall Survival (OS) and safety. This was discussed with the FDA in the context of making PharmaCyte’s clinical trial a “pivotal trial” rather than an “exploratory trial.”

15• So our shareholders understand what a pivotal trial is, I will share its definition. A pivotal trial is a clinical trial or study intended to provide evidence for a drug marketing approval by the United States Food and Drug Administration. Phase III trials are “assumed” to be pivotal. The phrase “pivotal trial” is often used for the rare pivotal phase II trials.

16• If this change takes place, the number of patients enrolled in the trial will increase. To be a pivotal trial, the FDA wants at least 100 patients treated with our therapy for purposes of safety. We are working with TD2’s statistician to see how many more patients will have to be enrolled in the trial to reach a statistically significant difference between PharmaCyte’s therapy and the comparator group’s therapy.

17• A variety of secondary endpoints will be measured, several of which measure tumor progression. None of the secondary endpoints changed as a result of the pre-IND meeting, except that PFS will be added to the list if the trial becomes a pivotal trial.

18• Both CT and PET scans will be heavily used to accurately measure changes in the patients’ tumors, although their frequency will change depending upon the final determination of our primary endpoints.

19• A major determination will be whether PharmaCyte’s treatment is better than the comparator treatment in reducing the size of patients’ tumors to the point that they become operable.

20• Several study sites have now been identified and major documents, such as the Clinical Protocol, Patient Consent Forms, Investigator’s Brochure, Case Report Forms and the like, are in various stages of preparation.

21• During the pre-IND meeting, the FDA noted that our pancreatic therapy is considered a combination product and not a single entity like a single drug, such as gemcitabine or other form of cancer drug.

22• In addition, CypCaps™ are considered a biologic product. In other words, it is a living, breathing organism that will require the strictest of regulatory scrutiny. So, while we all would love to complete one step and then move immediately to the next, unfortunately a great deal of patience has been and continues to be necessary as our entire team works toward submitting our IND to the FDA.

Let's go PMCB

This year’s hot market is imploding.

Bitcoin and litecoin and ripple and ethereum and all these other mysterious new online “cryptocurrencies” have been tumbling for a month, and many have now gone into free fall.

Don’t say we didn’t warn you.

Ethereum, which was the miracle boom earlier this year, has halved in value over a month.

Admittedly that’s only when measured in worthless old “grandpa” currency — namely, U.S. dollars. But still.

Where does that leave the market now?

If you think the plunge has gone far enough and this is looking like a glorious “buying opportunity,” here’s some awkward information.

At current prices, investors — or speculators — are still valuing these new cyberinventions at a staggering aggregate value of $82 billion.

Yes, really.

That includes $39 billion for bitcoin BTCUSD, -2.81% and $19 billion for ethereum, the two most popular.

Is that a lot or a little? Compared with the amount of gold in the world, or the size of the U.S. stock market, or the amount of dollars in circulation, it’s a pittance.

But put that in another context.

If you’re considering cryptocurrencies as an investment, reflect that today they have the same total aggregate dollar “value” as Starbucks SBUX, -0.56% For that same $82 billion you could buy 100% ownership of one of the world’s most recognized and respected brands, a company generating $21 billion in annual sales and $3.1 billion in free cash flow last year.

Which would you rather own?

That $82 billion is also about the same as the valuation of Volkswagen VOW3, +1.27% VLKPY, +0.69% — the German car giant that also makes Porsche, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini and Bugatti. Volkswagen has 120 factories around the world and sells about 2.6 million vehicles a year.

Or, sure, you could own all the bitcoin, ethereum and so on instead. Up to you.

[-chart]ei.marketwatch.com//Multimedia/2017/07/13/Photos/NS/MW-FQ235_crypto_20170713132801_NS.jpg?uuid=9ef773c8-67f0-11e7-a77f-9c8e992d421e[/chart]

For that matter, $82 billion could also get you complete ownership of defense giant Lockheed Martin LMT, +0.21% or about 90% of the parent of the Union Pacific Railroad UNP, +0.03%

If stocks aren’t your thing, $82 billion is also enough to buy up all the farmland in the state of Ohio, according to the Agriculture Department’s numbers. Or all the farmland in the states of Pennsylvania and Kentucky combined.

Bitcoin alone is valued at more than all the farmland in Virginia or North Carolina.

The $82 billion price tag of these cryptocurrencies is also enough to buy up all the timberland — I am not making this up — in Oregon. The state has 24.7 million acres of timberland, and the current market price in the Pacific Northwest is about $2,700 per acre.

So actually $82 billion would give you more than enough to buy up all the timberland in Oregon... plus, say, 100% of the stock of Tiffany & Co. TIF, +1.97% (about $11 billion) or even Campbell Soup Co. CPB, +0.03% ($15 billion).

Fans of cryptocurrencies, as well as gold, are fond of dismissing U.S. dollars, euros and the like as “fiat” currencies. How ironic that at $82 billion, these are now four times the entire market capitalization of Fiat FCAU, +4.10% FCA, +3.87% ($22 billion) itself.
