#5972 RE: 1guitarman #5971

the audio process was exceptionally good

Do you have any independent data to back this up?

The claim ('restores lost compressed harmonics') is nonsensical on several levels.

To all appearances, their app is simply a music player with a pre-tuned equalizer. This could give a placebo effect to listeners. I get the same placebo effect when I switch between different headphones which have different sound characteristics.

What may be getting lost in this interesting discussion as to whether is it possible or even desirable to restore harmonics lost in compression is your key observation that the assignee of patent 9300262 is NOT MaxD.

Lloyd Trammel seems to be well known in the industry and credible. And I am not convinced that a process by which harmonics are re-created is facially absurd. However, it does not look like Trammel or his invention have much to do with MaxD these days, he having apparently ended his relationship in I think January of this year.
