Excellent points.
APPL was extremely familiar with all of the staff of LQMT prior to Aug 2010 (they had been involved with LQMT since 2006) that had brought them up to that point.
Since Aug 2010, APPL has observed, just like so many of us, that LQMT is still very much crippled by its staffing.
Virtually all of the positive developments in both material and process improvement have been a result of the partners, not the LQMT staff.
All LQMT management does is carry around the top secret portfolio of patents, which when acted upon by competent people (Engel, MTRN, APPL and even LQMT admits in the compromise agreement, that VPC met the requirements for Lockheed).
APPL has chosen to keep LQMT locked up and away from APPL Headquarters. WANIUK is in CHARGE of REAL R&D. The boys and girls in RSM are still researching stuff, like welding, that was done by Johnson, Scruggs and Croopnick more than 20 years ago.
LQMT is a DO NOTHING entity.
Why would APPL ever want to buy them out?
