Good point AliAz, but there's another aspect here. Apple has a patent on attaching glass to a liquidmetal bezel. Sapphire crystals are used as scratch-resistant watch face covers. The iWatch is rumored to resemble a wide Nike Fuel Band, so it will require a flexible display screen (rumored to be in the works by OLED corporation), which in turn will need a tough, transparent cover to protect it: the flexible sapphire crystal.

The article led to a rise in the stock price today because the author doesn't know liquidmetal from liquid metal from molten metal. But the real story is that Apple has everything needed to make the iWatch, and at least the bezel will be made from LMT's alloy. (Also Apple's alloy, btw.) It's also possible that the entire case will be made from liquidmetal, but in either event, when the iWatch is released later this year (?), expect a big rise in LQMT's stock price: not just the 6% we saw today.

It's now time for me to start owning this stock.
