When I read the description of the actual Apple patent, I see no reference to liquid metal (except molten aluminum as a process-not-product component), liquidmetal, amorphous metal alloy, glassy metal, or BMG, whatsoever. There are plenty of references to sapphire as the display material, plus mention of several other possible materials for framing or end-capping the display. But given all of the recent amorphous metal mentions in other Apple-driven patents, the lack in this patent is not only conspicuous by its absence in this nifty device design, its absence makes me wonder if we are imputing it into this device ourselves.

Jack Purcher's patentlyapple association of liquid metal to this device is of his own imagination. Or so it seems to me if the patent language itself means anything.
