GHORS

I don't really think I missed the whole point. I realize and am extremley thankful that we won the decision. I don't believe however that Nokia paying interest on the money they owe us should be considered much of a penalty. That is hardly a deterrent for future delays and attempts to not pay us in the future. They have been using our money for their own personal use without our permission and we have had to invest many years and more dollars to try and collect what is rightfully ours.
I definitely do realize that we have fought many wars and lost many lives to maintain our Democratic society and what it stands for. I also realize that our court system and its many laws and procedures have been formulated to protect the innocent and provide due process. Unfortunately the predators in business and general society are much to often able to use the loopholes and intricaties of the system to escape true justice. We just have to mention O.J. or Robert Blake or the latest scumbag sex offender to show that justice is certainly not always done in our court system. It is definitely structured to provide a fair and proper determination but it does not always work and often times an innocent person also is found guilty. Of course this is a different type of legal scenario than we are dealing with but the fact remains, loopholes and less than ethical tactics frequently work in favor of the offender.
Yes we certainly do have a problem with our intellectual property laws and until that is changed we are in trouble. Lets not blame the current weakness of those laws on good old George. Everyone before him, and that includes good old Bill Lewinsky, could have also participated in making those changes if he were not spending so much time sitting at his desk with his fly open. He was too preoccupied to worry about insurance and oil companies.
The interest on money owed is all fine but is not a deterrent to further delays on payment. If they put that money in the bank they were receiving our interest.
I definitely believe in "staying the course" but I also believe in more severe punishment. Thus far nothing has happened to convince Nokia and others that it is to their benefit to pay up early.
