Jet - You're right that we've never seen a publicly declared finished production prototype. And you are certainly deserving in your reticence in that regard. God knows this company has a record of bearing out your concerns. But, in the competitive, and often secretive, game of contract awards, new products don't necessarily get announced publicly as "ready for sale", so to speak.
The sale is done behind the scenes, sans competitors, pardon the pun. If one is long, one can only hope that both airships have landed in Maryland for a reason, that is, continued tech development on the craft that further Dr. K's original design for specific applications. That's really the key here - technology developed for specific applications.
Will we hear about a viable product and subsequent sales before it's a done deal? In this venue no - not if management is worth it's weight in salt. Do we have any reason to believe that Clark and Estrella have a real plan? Certainly not based on what we've heard publicly. Should we expect them to tip their hand if they do have a plan? Hell, no. Does it suck that we have to wait around for further PR? Yes. Does Sanswire need a viable product to be successful? Absolutely, Jet. You're correct when you say that Sanswire has to "have a good product to sell to be successful."
Let's hope they do.
