Shares of Yingli Green Energy (NYSE: YGE) are moving higher this morning despite a downgrade from an analyst at Ardour Capital. The firm lowered its investment rating on the solar stock from Accumulate to Reduce, but maintained its $15 price target.

Traders may be buying the stock today amid a separate analyst report, one from Piper Jaffray's Jesse Pichel. The analyst cites the $2.3 billion in tax credits announced by President Obama last week, saying that the news should be a modest positive for the bottom lines of Yingli, Cree (Nasdaq: CREE), First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR), SunPower (Nasdaq: SPWRA) and several other solar-related companies. Notably, Piper Jaffray maintains an Overweight rating and $19 target on shares of Yingli.

Just before the market is set to open, Yingli shares are up 1.9% to around $18.44.
