Regarding your questions, an IPO is something that's far more within the issuing company's (MOBL) control than the Fortune 500 company's decision to finance MOBL is/was. Assuming BB&T thinks it's a good idea and can identify potential subscribers, than the IPO or another strategic alternative is very likely to occur. Jay's already stated that the main reason he thinks that Fortune 500 company backed out of the deal was because MOBL's business model was too confusing and lacked a pure-play objective. That Fortune 500 company would probably think a lot more of a Kite IPO than they did of MOBL and decide to invest in the Kite IPO.

As far as the next question regarding the immediacy of effect on MOBL's share price, it's my opinion that it would have a very big and immediate effect on MOBL's share price. Kite's getting IPO money would take Kite's expenses off of MOBL's balance sheet and provide a fair degree of financing to MOBL's bottom line. It kind of all depends on how they set the deal up, but it's definitely going to work out in MOBL's favor. The big thing to remember is that it's extremely low cost financing for Kite and reimburses MOBL for all the money they've put into the WiFi buildouts. If that isn't enough to please MOBL shareholders, then nothing is.
