A rat’s month is 2.78% of its entire life span. So, 2.78% of a human’s 80-year lifespan would be 2.224 years. Consequently, the rat’s final no-dosing month was equivalent to 2.224 years in an elderly human’s life. For the rats, in that final month, equivalent to 2.224 human years, no Alzheimer’s symptoms appeared. After dosing stopped, Anavex 3-71 continued to work, keeping the drug-free rats symptom-free for the equivalent of at least 2.224 human years.


Would the half-lives of 3-71 and its metabolite be the same in both mice and humans, or would they be "sped up" in mice because of the a higher metabolism?

Nonetheless, an amazing potentially prophylaxes result.
