Gmenfan, Some really good ones ! This one hit home. It tells how much things have changed.

Kids today don't know how easy they have it. When I was young, I
had to walk 9 feet through shag carpet to change the TV channel.

Because I was whining for a motor scooter ( I was walking two miles one way to school) my Dad told that he rode a mule, belly deep in snow, 3 miles to school and was uphill both ways.

And now it's gotten to "9' across shag carpeting-----" as an olden days hardship.
