So far we do not have an attorney. But if and when we do have an attorney, the attorney will need as much info as he/she can get. So I am asking all of those who do want to participate in a class action lawsuit and even those who choose not to, to please copy as much TIV PR's going back years if possible, along any pronouncements and/or reports from TIV.
You can send them to me at: howardb4@comcast.net
I would appreciate as much participation as possible..
My thanks to all,
Howard
Along with a couple of other shareholders, an attorney has been contacted. We are waiting for a reply. We do want to make this a complete class action suit. If there are others who desire justice for being robbed by the management of TIV, we will eventually need names and whatever the attorney deems necessary from shareholders for the suit.

With all these words said on this board countless times through the years concerning the downright criminality of TIV's management, would anyone here be willing to discuss legal action on behalf of stockholders??
Howard
howardb4@comcast.net
From the point of view that anything is possible, your view and the sound of 'knocking' which your amazingly acute hearing has ferreted out of the all the criminal background noise that has been drowning out all sensible sounds for 12 years, has that miraculous possibility of occurring. And I, of course would welcome with sell orders galore.
From your mouth to God's ears!!
Howard
George, I would like to ask a favor from you. Would you gather up all the PR's, the letters from TIV and any other hype you may have garnered from TIV and send copies of them to me.
I realize this might be time consuming ordeal, so please feel free to decline.
howardb4@comcast.net
Reading the words of JD400 is like being in a parallel universe. After suffering through 12 years of allowing myself to be manipulated by such downright TIV criminals and now reading his/her(JD400) enthusiasm about this hyped hunk of crap, has caused me to inspect my surroundings more closely, as perhaps I am the one who has been transported to a parallel universe.

New Report On TIV:
money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/.../0864954.htm
Assuming for a moment, that the SEC does find illegalities perpetrated by management with the opus members for inside trading plus assorted other legal miscues, so that the common share holders were fed a diet of unjustified statements from management which in actuality led to
dollar losses for shareholders.
Wouldn't this open up a very vulnerable TIV for lawsuits by individual or groups of individual shareholders?

New York (February 08, 2012, 9:20 PM ET) -- California oil and gas exploration company Tri-Valley Corp. received a subpoena from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission after revealing in October that the values of certain stocks it issued in 2010 were overstated by $6.5 million, according to a regulatory filing Wednesday.

No reply.
Those buys were by Directors. Certainly not buying in because of bad news. What would be the time lag needed between a director buy in and a positive public announcement, so that the insider buying rules would not be triggered?
My guess is, that there will be a significant time lag, so that whatever rules exist, would not come into play.
H.
Bad news would have caused the stock to plummet.
H.
A tinge of a tendency to see the worst aspect of things, which in this case is certainly understandable,
subdues even the barest of hopes.
H.
How does one view this new video?
H.
The only meaningful reply would be a public statement.
Maston
Now even more money going into TIV with absolutely no public announcements that seemingly would motivate such purchasing.
The only interpretation myself and other TIV stockholders have at present, is that perhaps something positive has happened or is happening and "insiders' are loading up on shares before the shareholders and the public are made aware. If true, this presents a double edged sword. First and foremost would be elation by long time stockholders that something positive has finally happened, but along with that the understanding that this information was presented to some people before any public announcement, which of course would be in violation of law. So I ask you again, which scenario is valid.
Also your continued silence on this matter only leads to the most serious of interpretations.
Again I would appreciate a reply,
Howard
As a stock holder for 12 years and watching all the unrequited hype that has been issued through the forked tongues of Management for the entire twelve years, plus the legal issues so mismanaged by management that has just about bankrupted this sad, sad, company. My note to the present CEO who has, like the previous CEO hyped this company into almost oblivion, was long overdue!
This type of stockholder response is very low key and quite long overdue and most importantly, more than appropriate, and should be seen as a stockholder imperative.
The only sadness I experience, is allowing myself to have continuously bought into the extravagant deceptions carried out by a less than honest management.
Howard
I am a stock holder.

Matson,
The last three days has seen a large increase in share trading along with the price of shares increasing.
There has been no public announcement of any kind having to do with operations of Tri Valley and yet someone or group of some ones has seen fit to invest, supposedly without any new info. rather large amounts of money into a seemingly quite troubled company!
Will there be a public announcement, having to do with this large increase in attention to TIV, with absolutely no public awareness of anything positive happening, or will management be silent.
This kind of activity with no news, can be taken by shareholders as suggesting that certain individuals used foreknowledge to accumulate shares before the public is made aware of "happenings" at TIV.
I would appreciate a reply.
Thanks, Howard

BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Jan. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tri-Valley
Corporation (Amex: TIV) is commencing operations to re-enter its Sunrise-Mayel
No. 2HR to prepare to hydraulically fracture the McClure Shale formation with
diesel oil. The target zone is non-water-bearing and not connected with any
aquifer. Rather, it is filled with natural gas and natural gas liquids but
has few pathways to allow the hydrocarbons to be extracted at a commercial
rate.
The SM2HR was horizontally drilled into the McClure Shale to greatly
increase the formation exposure to the wellbore and then hydraulically
fractured with a brine solution that failed to cause the fractures to remain
open for transmittal of gas at commercial rates. With the use of diesel oil,
the Company believes there will be no interaction with any clay content in the
formation that might otherwise cause the fracture pattern to swell shut.
Company officials have been very enthused about the potential of its
Sunrise Natural Gas Project near Delano, California, after independent
engineering analyses projected gas in place of 80 billion cubic feet per
160-acre unit. Tri-Valley geologists have mapped a closure of some
6,600 acres suggesting the potential of 3.3 trillion cubic feet in place. If
a way to commercially extract this resource can be achieved, it would be one
of the great bonanzas of the American oil and gas business. Hence,
Tri-Valley's unrelenting pursuit of commercial completion.
"Since the easy producing areas have largely been found in America, an
increasing number of tight formation discoveries are being massaged to
producing status and some offer uncommon opportunities if discoveries can be
engineered to commercial status and we are confident the Sunrise Natural Gas
Project has that potential," said F. Lynn Blystone, president and chief
executive officer.
The Company expects the frac to be performed around the first week of
February.
Tri-Valley Corporation and its subsidiaries, Tri-Valley Oil & Gas Co. and

Oct 27, 2011 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the bottom five companies in the Oil & Gas Exploration & Production industry as measured by return on equity (ROE). ROE is a general indication of the company's efficiency; Investors usually look for companies with ROEs that are high and are growing.
Tri-Valley (AMEX:TIV) ranks first with the lowest relative ROE of -153.2%; Oilsands Quest (AMEX:BQI) ranks second with an ROE of -116.5%; and Cubic Energy (AMEX:QBC) ranks third with an ROE of -115.7%.
From Smallcap Network:
Finally, Tri-Valley Corporation has been selected as Thursday's third-most bullish stock. If the name rings a bell, it may be because TIV was featured on Wednesday as a name that had possibly started a recovery effort along with the price of crude oil; whether or not it got over the hump depended on more progress from crude prices themselves. Given the optimism - by way of vote - it looks as if investors are expecting oil to keep on rallying, pulling this stock with it.
All that being said, it's possible that this new-found interest in TIV may also be stemming from the fact that the company secured some key financing) over the past few days... to the tune of $1.15 million (enough to keep this oil/gas explorer drilling and digging for a while). While the loan itself isn't a show-stopper, the fact that it came from a Tri-Valley Corporation insider - the Chairman of the Board - is an encouraging of a vote of confidence.
I don't know if this would make any financial sense, but for about ten million dollars, the Opus group could control TIV.

Being as uneducated as I am concerning the machinations of the "stock market", I cannot come up with the answer to the question of why such an huge increase in the daily volume of tiv, which started a few months ago. They were trading for so long,(years) with an average volume of approx. 15000 to 25000 shares a day, with an occasional burst of activity when an announcement was made public.
Has it become a 'trading vehicle'? Is there an accumulation occurring?
I will appreciate someone's expertise.
Thanks,
Howard
Tri-Valley Corporation explores for and produces both oil and natural gas in California plus the company has two exploration-stage gold properties in Alaska. On Wednesday, Tri-Valley Corporation rose 15.75% to $0.294 (TIV has a 52 week trading of $0.25 to $1.05 a share). Investors should note that on Monday, Tri-Valley Corporation reported that 2Q2011 oil and gas production revenues had risen 2% to $474,000 on the back of higher oil prices which partially offset a slight decline in net oil production. However, TIV also reported a net loss of $2.6 million verses a net loss of $4.2 million for 2Q2010.
It should also be noted that Tri-Valley Corporation completed a private placement during the quarter by issuing 10.1 million shares to raise $4.7 million to fund the completion of the first drilling phase of their Claflin oil project near Bakersfield. Hence, Tri-Valley Corporation is in a better financial position now but it still needs to dramatically increase revenue to reduce its losses.
More than likely they hired some Native Americans from some nearby pueblos to labor at production sites

I always say that I am not asking for a personal update, but for them to make public what they have to say.
H.
Sent an email to three people in Tri-Valley management.
I just received a phone call from a worker bee at tiv who said no news from the company as to happenings there which would cause such volume and price rise. She said that there are several new stock exchanges which are giving rebates to any trades that are made. So that traders can buy and sell for the same price and make a profit.
She called it 'frequency trading'.
Howard
Isn't this what happened a few weeks ago: enormous volume, stock price up to 1.05, no news, then a slow deterioration to .38. Now again even greater volume, stock price jumps, no news.
H.
Assuming this enormous volume is still the 'wash sale' variety, how can anyone attribute any sense to company happenings?
H.
The significant increase in oil production, the gold field finding a partner, and/ or a complete buyout of this company, still rides in my mind clinging to the back of pandora's escapee named HOPE. (or maybe prayer).
Howard
There does not seem to be any mechanism now in place to stop this "Wash" trading. So while this exists, how can any normal trading occur which would be reflective of tiv? And since it seems to be a money machine for the miscreants, with no barrier to prevent them from continuing until they get too old to continue, this could be a doomsday scenario.
Comments?
Howard
This article unfortunately puts forth a more plausible explanation then my fantasy about
some leaked positive info to a few, or a takeover, etc.
Howard
With all the talk about bankruptcy, I was curious to see if the directors were
selling any of their shares.
H.
It will be interesting to see the updated share holdings of the board of directors!
Howard
Perhaps a more knowledgeable person on this board can help me. TIV has traded just about it's total share float of close to 33 million shares in the past few weeks, with the price per share not really moving(a small % downward) with millions of shares being bought and sold. Understandably this is an opportunity for those who have wanted to get out, to do just that, with willing buyers there to gobble anything that goes up for sale, as long as the trade can be made without bidding up the price.
Where are all these shares for sale now, coming from?? It would seem at first glance that there has been enough volume where a complete change of ownership has occurred. Yet the institutional holding has held steady? If the volume has attracted traders, how, with the tiny movement in price could a profit be made in trading this company.
