Nice response. Way to avoid the question.
Why do I stay? Probably the same reason most of the longs here are staying. My initial investment has about $5k in value left at these levels. Being that I have already lost about $50k, I guess I'd rather risk the relatively small chunk of change I have left against the hopes that CB will actually turn out not to be the most God-awful CEO/driller/communicator/crook that he appears to be right now. Besides, with the volume and interest where it is right now, I couldn't sell my shares if I wanted to.
Now, you knew all that already since you have asked me numerous times why I am still here and my answer has never changed. My question to you is "How can you support these guys after 4-years of losing your money?" I can only assume that you do not have any money invested and that you have other reasons to support this as vigorously as you do. My guesses are that (1) You are being paid by the company, or (2) You are a private investor who needs our money to keep things going. Other than that, I can not understand how anyone could support what has happened to this company in the 4-years or so we have all been involved.
I look forward to an honest, straightforward response and not one of your typical "read-between-the-lines", innuendo-filled, BS excuses on behalf of the company type of response. I, and I am sure the other longs here, are all ears.
I've been around. Watching you defend this POS with all your innuendos. Question is, where's Hawk? I'm guessing his friends and family are pretty upset with him....or was that just one of the lines he uses to do his "job"?
They were called out. However, most here chose not to listen.
"Regardless of what the company isn't telling us, Production progress IS being made."
So, essentially, THEY are making money. WE are not.
Must be something wrong, eh? We are now at the level where Scott took over....
What about our poor ol' employees who are getting in at .16?
Not a great way to treat them, is it???
I understand the rooting for storms (and increased oil prices that come with it) and all, but I think what really should be our focus is the lack of production by good 'ol CB. Oil has already been up over $140 and they still lost money.
That's great and all, but we are still down 95% on our investments. Let me guess, "wait until the next 10Q?"
Production down, CB getting rewarded handsomely, SEC excuse, what else is new?
Risk, you catching on yet?
With respect to AENP, I would say his credibility is all but null at this point. We need to hear directly from the company.
I just sent the following to the SEC "Fast Answers" link. I will let you all know what I find out when they get back to me.
TO Whom It May Concern:
I have been invested in an OCB Stock for the past 3-4 years. They are listed under the symbol AENP (American Energy Production). When they began the company, they started it as a BDC. Some time ago, the SEC informed them that they had violated some of the terms of doing business as a BDC, prompting an in-depth review of the company by the SEC. It is my understanding (based on what this company has told me) that the SEC was reviewing many, if not all, BDC's for compliance to the regulating Act. After the review was completed, the company elected to dissolve the BDC and transition to a fully reporting company. That was several months ago, if not a year.
My question for you is as follows:
The company has been telling its shareholders that they have been advised by their lawyers not to issue any PR's (other than 10Q's, 10K's and 8K's) that pertain to the status of the company until the SEC issue is resolved. This has been their stance for at least the past year. I am wondering if you can inform me that this company is indeed waiting on your office for any information and/or review whatsoever that would lead their lawyers to recommend a silent period with respect to issuing PR's.
I ask this because this company initially appeared to be very promising in the oil and gas business. Over the past year to year and a half, with oil and gas prices at an all-time high, they have not issued a single PR on any accomplishments, or failures.
I understand that they are not required to to issue PR's, but they have been using your department as the reason as to why they have been silent. Can you offer some insight to me, as a shareholder in a publicly-traded company, as to whether the SEC is undergoing any review at all of the company? If so, what is the reason for the delay? They have informed the shareholders that this has been going on for over a year and I am growing suspicious that I have invested in a company that is not being honest with its shareholders.
Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
I highly doubt another RS would pass. We got screwed once. It won't happen again. I'd rather see this thing tank than CB get anything else he wants, or even needs.
That's a HUGE "what if"!
I'll be back on the bandwagon when they make me back my $75G's.
You showed up here a few months ago not knowing anything about this compnay. All of the sudden you know for a fact that the company has been advised not to PR anything? How do you know that for a fact? If it's because JC or CB told you so, then you still have a lot to learn about this company.
Does it really matter? We keep inching closer and closer to our pre-RS levels. If $140 oil can't swing this then I doubt a few storms will do the trick.
"Aqui will do everything exactly how they want it done."
Wasn't most of the original hype around this company pertaining to the Olympics? Well, guess what. The Olympics are only a little over a month away and this POS is heading due south. You'd think management would be in high gear about now. If that's "how they want it done" then there are some serious issues at the top of this company.
If this pps doesn't shoot up within the next few weeks and the Olympics comes and goes, there is no telling where the bottom is going to end up.
And that's not even considering the situation with their huge bottling plant and their access to all that "special" water.
Should be an interesting month!
Any bet on which group of painters is going to win the battle today? The up's, or the down's?
I'm going to say we see a sale at 3:52 for .20 followed up by a .26 sale at 3:57. Daily total: About $200.
Way to go CB!
Too funny. That's what we chose to believe 4 years ago.
So is a lot of other BS that has not materialized.
.....And the innuendos keep rolling in.......
Great reply. Saved me some typing.
And I have no problem admitting that, should this thing ever get back even close to my average, I will try and be the first one out the door.
These clowns have not come through with anything they have lead us to believe...or, at least, they have not PR'd it. With oil up another $10 today it just goes to show how incompetent they really are.
I do still believe that CB has a plan in mind. Unfortunately, I have grown to believe that it does not have our best interest at heart.
They have to or they won't get paid.
"Informed investors know..."
You have to be kidding me!
Thanks for the explanation. It makes sense now.
I must admit that I was a bit disappointed in the Hawk report when I first read it. Still am, actually. I do not understand its' purpose. It was my understanding that the report would contain hard numbers as to the potential reserves. Numbers that were going to trump those of earlier reports. It did not do that. It was basically a very long background on the property and a geography lesson, along with confirmation that the earlier reports appear to be valid (which is nice), followed by recommendations and cost estimates going forward.
1. We already had the earlier reports. Why pay someone else to go out and do the same exact thing...unless they are going to offer even more information, which was not done.
2. With all the experience we reportedly have in the management, did they really need a report to outline recommendations and cost estimates.
Essentially, I just do not see any benefit to the Hawk report. ...unless it is mandated by the Gov't in order to apply for the NI.
There was a ton of build up leading up to the Report, which was most likely naive investors not familiar with the mining industry (myself included) expecting much more out of it. What we learned was that there are many steps involved before we actually get the stuff out of the ground and start making money on it. Some folks probably didn't want to wait that long on a pinkie and bailed....hence the recent pps drop.
Having said all that, I have not sold a share. I have recomputed my timeline based on what I now know. If anyone can enlighten me on anything I may not understand about having this report done, I would appreciate it.
You, too. You're going to need it.
And, by the way, I do own shares. Just not enough to sweat it.
Now there's an ominous sign.
If that were the case, this board would have zero members. We are all in the dark here and no one has anything too relevant to post.
You want to see my brilliant posts, go back a few months and see my warnings about this scam. They turned out to be pretty accurate. Sorry if you chose not to listen.
Thanks, but I believe it to be true and the pps supports my "briliant" theory.
I think it was from the realization that this stock is a scam.
Question:
I have heard quite a bit about possibly uplisting to the Toronto exchange. I have also heard that Scott has said that he would continue to list on an American exchange, such as the OTC. I understand this is all heresay until it is PR'ed, but my question is as follows:
Considering I am in the US, what happens to the shares I now own through E-Trade? If SRSR is on two exhanges, do my shares get uplisted to the OTC since I am in the US, or do they go to the Toronto exchange? Do they get split? Are they somehow linked such that the pps on each exchange is the same?
TIA.
1. I think three years of waiting should be considered patient.
2. Even if you wanted to sell right now and take the loss, I don't think it would be possible. No buyers, volume too low and we all have too many shares.
Well, according to her, the SEC has no outstanding issues with the company, or vice-versa. I did explain the BDC issue/transition and she said that looked to be resloved.
I understand that the company hasn't said that "the SEC is waiting for the company to provide any additional information". My point there was to clarify that neither the SEC nor the company is awaiting any info from the other party.
Just got off the phone with SEC...
They asked the company name and the woman pulled up American Energy Production on her computer. She was aware that they just filed the 10Q and noted that they have been filing all the regular reports as required.
I asked her if the SEC had placed any restrictions on AENP with respect to issuing PR's. She said no, the company is free to issue any PR's they wish to.
The company is in good standing with the SEC, meaning that the SEC is not waiting for the company to provide any additional information, nor is the company waiting on any information from the SEC.
Basically, the line about the company waiting on the SEC situation to be cleared up before issuing a PR is a farce. Just another excuse in the long line of them with CB and JC.
Speaking of credibility....
Well, I have owned this stock for well over three years now, and I will be placing an email to the SEC tomorrow. Do I think it will work? Maybe, maybe not. But what these guys (CB and JC) have tried to get away with is criminal. I will also be naming GEH and Contractor as possible accomplices. Are they? I don't know for sure, but they are definitely possibilities. There is plenty of circumstantial evidence, most of which I am sure they do not realize I have logged. At the very least, they will be investigated, which is good enough for me. Something has to be done about this company.
Contractor: Go ahead and delete this post. I have the record of it.
The real sad part here is that...
We are the only ones that are responding to this pos 10Q. Contractor and GEH don't even bother to delete the posts anymore.
This thing is done!
Probably the same return that they received from all the money we invested......ZERO!
Sounds like a good report, but...
Another delay will drag the pps down IMO. We may be starting from .03-.04 once the Hawk is released.
