IDS,
I am glad to get your report because I wasn't able to swing by before I left. The train set confirms your visit.
Not exactly news (vacated) I wanted to hear, but I hope this gives some kind of credance to my earlier posts since you have confirmed most, if not all, of my posts.
I will only post information that I have confirmed or gathered from a reliable source. If I post an opinion, I will make sure it is understood that it is just that...an opinion. I am hear to gather/share info and not pump a stock.
BTW, his Escalade is white, so the "fat man" probably wasn't there. lol
I have NEVER had any personal contact with Patrick Downs...still true to this day. Never met him, never talked to him. I have seen him numerous times...ugly SOB.
I never made it by the warehouses again on Tuesday, but I went by the warehouse address months ago (though I don't recall an approximate date (summer??)).
It's not a very big warehouse and there is somewhat of an office front to it with docking doors in the rear. It is located in a quasi industrial/office area. I don't recall seeing anyone, but I did go to the front door. It was locked, I knocked, no one answered, and all I could see inside was the office portion. It was an occupied space. Back door was secured.
I hope IDS Watcher made it by and can give his take on what he saw.
Thanks Osback.
But, I just spoke to his PO no more than 2 weeks ago and he never mentioned any of this to a law enforcement officer, who was inquiring about Downs.
I was hoping you had another name other than Doreen at the SEC. Doreen is not officer, agent or investigator for the SEC and I can assure she did not contact his PO to inquiry about Downs.
This is nothing more than what was already posted on here. Thanks for responding though.
Penny,
That is not the name of the PO we spoke to. I don't know what more to tell you. I saw in one of the links it said the PO said Patrick Downs was working for his wife, Laura. Patrick Downs is listed as the CEO of the company, which is easily verifiable.
As for Doreen, I've seen her name many times posted on here. I was asking Osback what name and # he had for the SEC from the supposed PO he spoke to. I am certain Doreen, the assistant to the assistant, did not do any investigative work for the SEC, especially talking directly to the PO of a man supposedly under investigation by a regulatory federal agency. I would much rather talk to Osback's contact from the PO, who is inquirying about Downs.
My posts were directed to Osback, not you Penny. So, no I am not trying to mislead anyone and sorry for the confusion. I am trying to gather information from Osback.
Penny: I was actually asking Osback for the SEC contact name and number that was given to him by the PO spoke to. The name/# (Doreen Moserphir) you gave was from a form letter from IDS Watcher(?) I think....posted a page ago.
I don't have the PO's ph# because LPD called him, but those initials are not those of the gentleman we spoke to.
If I don't make it back, I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday and that 2007 is prosperous for all.
Good night Chesty, whereever you are!!
PennyCow,
Sorry, I got sidetracked with the holidays coming. I never got over to the location on Tuesday and left Wednesday morning for NC. I will be up here until after the 1st for some R&R.
Osback: "I have personally talked to Downs probation officer. He has not been looking at the press releases. He is barely aware Downs is involved in a business, but has been starting to receive complaints, including an inquiry he received from the SEC. He gave me the information concerning the contact person at the SEC including the name and phone number of the person there.
As I stated in my post. I talked with Downs probation officer and the gist of the conversation was just that. He didn't seem to know much about what was going on with IDS and the press releases. To assume that Downs press releases have validity because he hasn't been called in by the parole officer would be assuming you won the lottery and spent all the money before verifying it. Call his proby yourself and discuss the matters with him. You will see how much he knows."
I doubt seriously you have spoken to his PO because I was part of a conversation between a LPD officer and his PO less than 2 weeks ago. His PO said he was fulfilling his probation obligations. He has been reporting to him as required his residence, employment, etc. and his PO confirms it with unscheduled visits to home/office. So, to say he was "barely aware Downs is involved in a business" is totally false, as is he received an inquiry from the SEC. If his PO suspects or even has the slightest inkling (i.e. SEC inquiry AND complaints) that he is involved in something fraudelent...especially tied to a stock, he can revoke his probation in the blink of an eye. The man was arrested and convicted of Stock Fraud, among other things. This would certainly throw up a red flag if the SEC made an inquiry.
A PO's job is to verify the parolee is adhering to the requirements of his parole (i.e not participating in illegal activities, whether it be local, state or ESPECIALLY the mother of all criminal activity...federal.) Even if there is no arrest made, an individual can have his probation revoked for the mere suspicion of criminal activity.
I would love for you to post the initials of this PO you spoke, so I can confirm. And while your at it, why not post the contact person at the SEC and their phone number, since it isn't confidential if the PO gave it out..
Penny:
I only have the address to that warehouse, which is the only one I am aware of. I just meant to say I am within 5 miles of everythying, etc.
But, the address is accurate on your map. You can go to Mapquest and get an aerial view. If you are familiar with area, it is at the intersection of Douglas and Central, near the overpass of I4...and within a 1/2 mile of the Boniview address.
IDS:
I don't recall how it was marked, but if I get a chance today to swing by, I will and will post the info. So, try to check back.
IDS Watcher,
Since you will be in O-Town, take some time and do some site seeing near the following:
1.) 498 Palm Springs Drive, Ste 320, Altamonte Springs (IDS/WSA Offices)
2.) 648 Boniview Ln, Altamonte Springs (Residence)
3.) 224 W. Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs (Warehouse)
4.) 1800 Pembrook Drive, Pembrook Commons, Ste 300, Orlando (IDS "new" offices)
The first 3 are all within a 5 minutes of one another. The last is maybe an extra 15 minutes.
I like the way you think and would be interested in your feedback. I wasn't so much concerned about the addresses (public information), as much as the FDL #...which I can't disclose the "where, who, or how". I am always willing to share my info, but in some cases I would prefer to do privately to protect "the innocent".
Travel safely, good luck and get back to me asap.
Sincerely,
An Innocent One
Penny,
Actually, I retired as a "chicken" Colonel. But, my class bestowed the nickname "Lt. General" on me during our 2nd year and the it was shortened to "LTG" by the time we were commissioned. Long story to it, but apparently I walked and talked like a certain Marine that marched among the ranks back in the day.
IDS,
Fair enough. I will see what I can do about your request. I don't think I can do a private post to you, can I?
IDS Watcher, (Long Response)
Tough crowd over here, I guess. I am not here to do combat with anyone, merely offering my insight from what I have researched. You choose to call me a "liar", believe me I have tougher skin than that. I've been around way too long to be concerned about having a battle of words on a message board...about a stock no less. Believe what you will, but a liar I am not.
I have a printout of the mugshot of Patrick Downs from SCSO and I also was able to get a copy of his Driver's License. I contacted an officer of a neighboring city PD that I have known for quite sometime and he ran the drivers license number. He provided additional information and he contacted his PO, who confirmed Downs current residence and last time of contact. He is fulfilling his parole obligations up to this point. This shouldn't be very hard for you to do as well, because I can tell you've done some serious background checking as well.
I am a retired career military officer and I have the time to do whatever it is that I choose. I live approximately within 5 miles of the offices, warehouses and private home of Patrick Downs...or his deceased mother-in-law's home. All of this information is public record accessed through the internet (sunbiz.org, Co. Public Records, Clerk of the Court, etc.); some of which has been already posted on this board and others. $4500 investment or $450 investment, I got time and they are basically in my backyard and this one is very interesting.
Without portraying myself as a stalker (which is going to be hard after what I am about to type), I have nosed around the offices and warehouse of IDS, WSA, etc. for several months. I have sat in the parking lot of the Altamonte Mall and observed Downs coming and going from his office. I've driven by the house on Boniview. I have followed Downs around town in his Cadillac Escalade. I made contact with an employee of IDS and gathered information on Downs health after a PR and that is how I found out his previous medical history. I better stop there because I am scaring myself ;). (BTW, regardless of the last paragraph, I am mentally stable and sane!!! But, it was the negative posts on here that got me started with covert operations on IDS/Downs.)
This isn't about a $4k bet on a risky stock, this is for my own curiosity. After reading the boards on this stock, it became quite intriguing and I think you agree since you appear to have more posts on this subject than anyone else or any other stock. I am willing to bet, you could easily pick Patrick Downs out of 1000 people yourself. Like I said he is a relatively large guy, with "splotchy" skin (your words) and an ear missing on one side. Not even difficult for a blind man to see. What I know about the man personally is, he apparently enjoys Seasons 52 as do I, which is basically located in the same parking lot as his office. Someone on here posts he is a known "drinker" and you take that for gospel and I would say someone would have to be very upclose and personal with him to get that information.
I don't use a flashdrive or biometric mouse. What more can I say? I got my hands on both and overnighted them to a friend of mine to see if they did what they said it would do. I don't drop his name because you don't know him. He is someone I trust and believe in. Doesn't really mean much to you, does it? But, it does to me and helps me form my own assessment. You can buy yourself either and do your own research/assessment on the product(s) or send it to someone you trust.
I believe you and others have contacted the SEC to complain or inquire. It really isn't that uncommon. Some truly believe they have been wronged or misled. Some have. While others just merely try to cast shadows in hope of influencing a stock's price. If you email or write the President, you get a generic response back. But, what I have told you about my conversation with my contact is almost verbatim and this isn't coming from some assistant to the assistant. Stop and think what you are saying. When the SEC has there hands full with corporate corruption of companies that supposedly fully disclosed and where billions of dollars and millions of shares are changing hands, you expect them to put any type of priority on investigating a pink sheet company where maybe a couple of hundred thousand (if your lucky) shares are traded?!?!? Someone posted an aggregate amount of $70MM in trades the last few months...again, peanuts compared to others trading at $5/$10/$15 and millions traded DAILY. If you don't believe I spoke with someone, fine. But, use logic and you should at least draw the same conclusion.
Again, I am not pumping the stock, though I have made it clear I own it. I was hoping for some exchange of information that may be useful from either longs or shorts. I am not married to the stock (or any for that matter). I could careless about Patrick Downs, though his past appears questionable. I was not expecting banter or insults from anyone. But again, I am too old for that.
Whether I am long or short on it as time passes, this is one that I will continue to follow, simply because if it implodes due to misleading information from Downs than the truth is known. But, if any part of it is truth, this stock and related dividends could literally take off through the roof. That's what's great about gambling!!!
Proud to be an American. Semper Fidelis.
Look, I only get 1 more post today and this is it for today.
I do own IDWD stock and have for several months. I am long and did not try to hide the fact.
I am only throwing my 2 cents in to the discussion. If you are getting your investment advice from a message board you may want to just wipe your arse with the cash. I had those 2 products tested by someone I trust. I don't even use a flashdrive and have no need for a biometric mouse and I wouldn't expect you to put alot stock into the feedback given to me. I was just making a statement.
I spoke to someone in the SEC, who provided no confidential information to me, but confirmed what I...we...already know from past experience and alot of common sense...the SEC gets hammered everyday with complaints and cries of fraud of most likely every company in this great country of ours. Some are legit and some are sore losers. However, the SEC does not have the time, manpower, etc. to deal with every mess and this one is nothing more than a gnat on an elepants arse.
I would liken the claims on this board of fraud to someone contacting the FBI and CIA, who have their hands full with terrorism, and asking them to investigate a Muslim driver who was pulled over for failing to yield.
I have not had any personal contact with Patrick Downs. I do not know the man personally. I have resided in Longwood, FL for quite awhile. I have seen Patrick Downs picture on the SCSO website and I have nosed around the offices in Altamonte and Orlando for the past several months. I have several friends in the law enforcement arena throughout Central Florida and confirmed things for myself. Downs is required to meet with his PO regularly and has met with him in December. You can probably do the same without little problem, do so and let me know if you find anything contrary.
P.S> I've also seen Downs around town, twice at the same restaraunt (Seasons 52). He is very easy to pick out of a crowd, 1.) he is a relatively big/tall man and 2.) the obvious reasons in regards to cancer.
I am not offering advice. I am not suggesting anyone buy the stock or short it. I am sharing notes and find quite abit of truth/facts in your statements, but just wanted to shed some light on things that I know for myself. Again, take it for what's it worth..free!
Best of luck to all and a prosperous New Year's to everyone.
I am not a technical savy man. However, the individual I sent it to for testing is and he basically said it works as advertised and he tried for over a week to bypass the secured features of it. "Cutting edge" is my phrase, not his...sorry...and I merely meant to say it met the information listed in the press releases, packaging and websites.
I spoke to a contact of mine and she basically confirmed what I already knew. The SEC receives complaints everyday on companies. And IDWD isn't even a blip on the radar. Too small a fish...too little volume...OTC, etc. By the time, they would even get around to investigating a company like this, IDWD would either be a defunct company like half on this board believe it will be or we could have rec'd the $2.35 per share as the other half believe.
I have a sell out there if it hits $2.00 per share and will sit and wait to see if it recedes yet again before any final notice is made on the cash dividend.
I have been following these posts for awhile now and would just like to put my 2 cents in for what it is worth. IDSWatcher's 27 points are hard to dispute because most are backed by hard evidence.
Now, with that being said...
I have seen posts that Patrick Downs has skipped town and country, moved his residence, been contacted by his PO, etc. I would just like to state a few more facts.
Patrick Downs has not left the area. I have seen him 3x's in the past week in the Altamonte Springs area and his parole officer has met with him and confirmed his residence is accurate, as is required by his parole conditions.
I had access to the BioFlash USB Drive and BioFlash Mouse and had both tested, both are legit products with excellent potential, though I have not confirm sales or purchase orders to any government or private organization inside or outside the US.
The SEC does have a complaint file on IDS, but the fact is there is not a single stock traded that does not have a complaint filed against them and you can include every major stock traded from Microsoft to Disney to Coke. But, the SEC is not actively investigating IDS or Patrick Downs, nor are they expected to.
As for Patrick Downs' health. My understanding from an employee of the company is that he had cancer in the 90's, which caused his ear to be removed and received multiple skin grafts. They believe this is why he was released on parole to get treatment for the cancer.
I bought into IDWD a few months ago at approximately $.45 per share and own less than 10,000 shares, so I have no great stake in the stock. But, I do my research, and covert operations ;), on the company and officers. I don't care much for Mr. Downs' background, but the products are cutting edge and legit.
IDWD is a risk as is any pink sheet company or any investment. Use your gambling money only, not your retirement. I think we will see this thing ride up and down for the next couple weeks and can it touching $1.70's again. Ride the waves and enjoy!!!
