Custos has 10% and NAMCOR has 10%
I don't see NAMCOR a seller as it is the National Namibian company.
Sintana has bought 49% of the Custos 10%

In October 2015, ERHC announced with Kosmos Energy (NYE: KOS) a leading independent oil and gas company to transfer all ERHC’s rights under the EEZ Block 11 PSC to Kosmos Energy for value.

looks like Woodside has aprox 8 months to decide about taking it's Operator option for PEL 87.
Pancon granted extension on block 87 with no penalties and no relinquishment on acreage for PEL 87.

thank you buxmaker.
We are getting closer to Woodside's proclamation I hope
possibly a shorter selling ERHC shares to him/herself...trying to create...lol
Krombacher:
thank you for the invite. I am a dinosaur as I only have a flip phone for emergencies like for travel or family.
I am a relatively small investor and I don't do apps( yes I know, but it's true, there are still some of us roaming around ). I work from a lap top and I have been in ERHC since 2001. I appreciate your gesture. Thanks for responding.

still no formal annoucement from Woodside or Pancon...just a matter of time
thanks buxmaker...fingers crossed!

Yes douginil, I saw that and maybe we are not far from an announcement...fingers crossed.
It would be nice to hear a PR from PCOG concerning Woodside.

Drilling block 83 by GAALP mid November south of Block 87

Getting closer to PCOG's Saturn Prospect
good luck
aka: Bazilfawlty (on stockhouse)
Thank you, douginil
this is more detailed than the other information on PCL's "hot copper.com" site.
It seems that the next crucial drills just south of PCL's Block 87 by GALP 2023/24 and CHEVRON 2024 might give a better picture of events to come. SHELL's Cullinan prospect so far' has yielded a non commercial find, but it was in a carbonite area which so far is not contiguous to Block 87's exploration area which it seems is comparable to Venus and Graaf prospects. Next chess move by Woodside will be telling, if they move forward on the JV and take the operators 56% share and announce that they will be drilling Saturn maybe next year.
Best to you
Manuel

Hello Peter Investor...long time lurker of the ERHC board.
It would be nice to hear posts that are not just from the usual posters.(including me,3/4 time lurker)
Welcome
Just put the suspected shorters on ignore and the board becomes amazingly peaceful.....Zen out you all,
it makes ERHC board nice to read and no puzzles or cyphering long wordy posts with zero substance.
Worth a try . Let the usual suspects post to themselves ..it wont change anything share price wise...we need events and news, not gossipy, bored folks with unsubstantiated posts.
thanks
nice presentation from( Woodside)...PCL

Compare the KM2 against the other discoveries....looking HUGE!!!
The recent major discoveries in Namibian Orange Basin highlight PEL 87’s potential for hosting a world-class oil discovery. The scale and resource potential is considered by PCL to be comparable to giant turbidite-associated discoveries with analogous geology offshore Brazil, Guyana, etc. • Venus Fan discovery, offshore Namibia (600 km2) reportedly has estimated recoverable reserves exceeding 3 billion barrels recoverable oil 1 • Jubilee Fan Oil Field (180 km2) offshore Ghana, estimated recoverable reserves of approx. 1 billion barrels recoverable oil 2 • Marlim Oil Field (152 km2) offshore Brazil, estimated to hold approx. 1.7 billion barrels recoverable oil 3 • Saturn exhibits a core area of ~ 2,400 km2, entirely undrilled

Major seismic surveys lined up for Namibia’s unsung offshore areas
Australian contractor set to start campaigns late this year in sparsely drilled Luderitz and Walvis basins
20 June 2023 12:52 GMT UPDATED 20 June 2023 12:52 GMT
By Iain Esau in London
An Australian contractor has filed plans with Namibia's government to kick off the first of an array of seismic surveys late this year in two of the nation's long-neglected, but prospective offshore petroleum basins.
The huge discoveries made over the past year or so by TotalEnergies and Shell have triggered an oil rush to secure stakes in the Namibian part of the Orange basin.
6 billion barrels? TotalEnergies starts drilling vital well that could double resources at golden block in Namibia

However, the cost of securing access to the few remaining opportunities in this play has priced out of the market many latecomers to the party, leaving them to focus on less mature plays to the north.

2) Jaca-1 was fantastic, let's go ahead do one ___producing___ well to prove up the area and pay Erhc shareholders dividends before finally making a buy out offer
maybe...but most companies do not drill wildcat wells as producers. Total has booked (at least preliminarily ) the drill ship(s) for Venus, Namibia. Shell has booked drill ship(s) for Graff, Namibia. That is all we know physically speaking. Even when time lines are made they can always be altered as witnessed on many occasions. I am hoping Block 4 EEZ Sao Tome is a go for 2023 but we have no solid time line...so we wait
Baz
The Majors have stated that they will finance deep water projects and so launching a drilling campaign, like Shell will be doing with Graff, and Total with Venus among others might just be to the companies benefit as they hit solid oil bearing prospects and that seems to be the case . Look at Exxon in Guyana with their multibillion bbl. campaign on the Stabroek Block ,they will be there for the next decade and counting.
Krom
lots of possibilities
Some that might factor into the time of 300 days are also any deficiencies arising during wells and possibility of sidetracking where needed. or with good results from well to well might require injection wells. Then the mobilization and demobilization times ,so, there must be built-in insurance time as well. also in your scooping there is also the travel times included from drill to drill even if Sao Tome is included, so 300 days counting insurance days may be an approx scenario for somethings up.
well hopefully the something's up will result in our happiness in the near future. We'll see.................................................................................
another article refering to Total and Namibia
Shell and TotalEnergies are also set to begin major appraisal and exploration drilling campaigns next year, chasing upsides to their huge Graff and Venus discoveries in the Orange basin, while other players in the area, such as Chevron and BW Energy are also refining and accelerating drilling and seismic survey plans.

Hello Krombacher
I am not sure if this will add some information for your search of Total Energy's drill ships schedule for Namibia and South Africa, but this info is from Africa Oil's third Quarter financials. Also a mention of Kenya.
https://stockhouse.com/news/press-releases/2022/11/14/africa-oil-announces-third-quarter-2022-financial-results-with-record-realised
Management expect the start of the first appraisal program on the Venus light oil and associated gas discovery (Block 2913B, offshore Namibia) in Q1 2023. This program, operated by TotalEnergies, will involve drilling of new appraisal wells and production flow tests to refine remaining uncertainties on reservoir distribution and dynamic behavior. Africa Oil has an indirect interest in this opportunity through its 30.8% shareholding in Impact, which in turn has 20% interest in the block.
The Company has a 20% operated interest in Block 3B/4B offshore South Africa. This block is on trend with Venus and Graff oil discoveries (the Company has no interest in Graff) in the Orange Basin. The application to extend the Block 3B/4B license and to move into the first extension period of 2 years was approved on October 27, 2022. The Company is also continuing its technical studies on Block 3B/4B with the aim of maturing exploration prospects for possible future drilling. The Company and JV Partners are working together to collectively farmout up to 55% gross WI in Block 3B/4B.
In 2021, the Company and its partners initiated a farmout process for Project Oil Kenya. Advanced discussions are on-going with the interested parties. A successful farmout is viewed by the Company as a critical step towards the FID for Project Oil Kenya being achieved over the course of the next year. There is no guarantee that the Company can successfully conclude a farmout to new strategic partner(s) on favorable terms.

Chevron set to enter coveted block offshore Namibia Upstream understands the US supermajor close to farming in to high-potential Orange basin acreage 11 August 2022 11:24 GMT UPDATED 11 August 2022 12:16 GMT By Iain Esau in London US supermajor Chevron is set to take a majority stake in a highly coveted ultra-deepwater block offshore Namibia, just north of TotalEnergies huge Venus discovery, according to multiple sources. Upstream understands that a farm-in deal covering what is probably one of the most sought-after licences in the Orange basin has almost been wrapped up and is due to be announced soon. Namibia: Galp galvanised amid scramble to grasp impact of huge discoveries Read more If confirmed, the transaction will mark Chevrons first entry into southern Africa since its aborted foray into South Africas nascent onshore shale gas play some years ago. The California-headquartered players current African portfolio is centred on its Angolan assets offshore Cabinda. Three well-placed sources told Upstream that the upcoming deal covers Block 2813B, directly north of the multi-billion barrel Venus discovery. No regrets: Tullow boss explains reasons behind Orange basin exit in Namibia Read more This block is operated by Australian junior Harmattan Energy following Tullow Oils exit from the acreage just weeks before the results from the Venus-1 wildcat and Shell's Graff-1 probe were unveiled. Commenting on Chevrons proposed entry into the asset, one informed source said it is pretty much a done deal, adding that the US giant has looked at South African Orange basin acreage in the past so a deal in Namibia is not surprising". According to a statement carried on Harmattans website dated 21 February 2022, it held a 37.06% stake in the block, with Trago Energy on 52.94% and state-owned Namcor holding 10%. Namibia basks in glow from Venus Read more Trago was controlled by Namibian businessman Knowledge Katti. However, according to information published on 9 March 2022 on the website of Toronto-listed Sintana Energy, Harmattan has a 37% stake in the block, with Grisham Assets Corporation on 33%, Inter Oil on 20% and Namcor on 10%. Sintana has a 49% interest in Inter Oil which, like Grisham, is believed to be controlled by Katti. What's next for Orange basin after Venus and Graff? Read more Sintana said the block is covered by 2400 line kilometres of 2D seismic data and more than 7900 square kilometres of 3D data, while water depths range from 2300 to 3100 metres. Harmattan is controlled by Havoc Partners, which is led by extractive industries veteran and Africa specialist Alan Stein. Neither Chevron nor Harmattan had responded to Upstream questions at

Another possibility , not to put any damper on the drilling, is maybe they are heading to presalt, as CNOOC was mentioned in it's last drilling with Addax that they didn't go deep enough....which is also positive, as without some showings, they might have stopped the drilling process. All conjecture but there are good reasons to be positive as we don't hear of any P&A on the well(s) and they are still there with copious expenses going on!!
