The price performance is a fact that one cannot ignore....the rest is just retail investors posting their impressions....today I have read about the confusion about the process of getting the approval quickly after certain conditions were achieved and the amount of time to approval....with the VOLUME of trading and price action, it seems to me that the bigger bets have been placed.....mostly the shorts and confident longs that is the real mystery....Are the shorts convinced to stay short or are the longs confident with their sites on the next 6 months....this is the highest volume in a long time, with several price gaps up!
Let's just relax and wait to see who's right!
Only the Shadow knows
💥
Settlement of trades for short interest reporting was 3 days ago....ha ha....so on the 27th we will see trades up to the 13th of December....what happens after that date to now nobody but The Shadow sees...so let's await the 27th for that old and out dated "report"...is this move over, I think not.
Check out your weekly charts and notice that the 200 WEEKLY has traded up to the 4 year (200 WEEK resistance)...I think "if" we surpass that level....we see 13 with 25 as very good potential....the AVXL board is debating too much, hence I think that the profit taking will be absorbed with yet another run higher....I remain bullish with most gaps not being closed....looks like biotech stocks might just make up for the last lousy years.
Joseph K
See why I rely on price dynamics rather than this back and forth debate?
The pros who trade this name are certainly just as informed as most here....ha ha
We touched the top of the channel, but the game is NOT over....a strong push up past $11 or so sets us up nicely for a rapid advance to at least $13 where there is a lot of resistance, but maybe a "surprise" 👆️
Jimbo...step by step and....
don't trade for 50 cent moves....doesn't make sense unless you are working as a day trader for a living...my objectives are based on prior resistance, support and measured moves, sometimes right, sometimes wrong...my 2 cents.
Congratulations..... Chris Missling
When you exercised those 500,000 options and retained 232,000 shs clearly "accepting risk" at $8 on those shares, holding them through the downdraft and seeing that you did NOT sell out...no form 4....you are now showing a profit on those shares without considering other shares you hold, it is SWEET....
No complaints from me today and hope the good news keeps on......😊

I'm catching up on the messages right now at saw your post, since my wife "forced" me to go shopping with her at Wegman's , etc. since the family is coming and staying at our home for several days!!! I hate shopping...lol....so here's what I see as far as $AVXL goes:
We have surpassed resistance which was at appx $9.50 on super volume with confirmation on RSI (yes overbought but it's a good thing)....channel top hits at $10.50, but we might just go parabolic (straight up) which I have considered....so next resistance is CLEARLY $13 and my manual target price would be there for traders, but I count to $25 on a parabolic move....been often wrong, but that what I see! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year....Steve🤩
Top of this curved channel doesn't hit until over $10.50 and could go parabolic.....no problem with RSI as it is confirming the trend which is clearly up.....good luck folks and Merry Christmas!
Yes, a bit but the 1st shot just lets the doctor know where to apply the 2nd one...coming up for me Jan. 8th...fingers crossed! Merry Christmas & instead of going to the beach the whole family is staying with us from Friday until after Christmas....😊
FWIW
Best things I read about is that when the indexes are showing an unusually strong RSI (over 80) most people think we are about to trade lower, but actually that is bullish...J.C. Parets comments on the Financials (XLF) and after 4 strikes to break support which did not occur, he says: "I was promised a crisis"....well it looks like we broke the downtrend line....lol....best way to wait for a high or top is to wait for a divergence...i.e. new price high with the RSI not confirming that....As far as $AVXL is concerned, the sweeping uptrend is stalling right now, but so far I do not see a major divergence at this point as the sweeping uptrend is still in effect...the trend is NOT a straight line up with various touch points, it is rather curved and pointing higher, not lower (up to now)....good luck! For retail, Steady is correct in that the last day to sell stock holdings at a loss is based on the last trading day of the year, but also right in that the 30 day waiting clock would be ticking for re-entry to avoid a wash sale. As a side note got 4 shots into my lower back and have to go back Jan 8th to see how this MBB procedure helps...Merry Christmas...btw, I do not know how to read the various indicators....but do understand a thumbs up or down......ha ha
Gensler has been pushing for changes, but he will find that the collusive crooks will find ways to confuse....1st change is honoring Reg Sho and making sure that mm's are following the rules for their "exempted short sales".....2nd needed change is reporting short interest way earlier than 10 days behind the fact.
Has the settlement clearing DTCC been fixed yet? lol
That's for sure...the criminals always find a way of confusing the SEC young lawyers by having so many transactions that they can't keep up with those tricks they perform and have been doing for years.
It's not enough! they Reg Sho needs to be followed and the reporting comes too late for people to really see the collusion going on between hedge funds and mm's...if YOU have to settle within 2 days why do THEY report 10 days after the fact....this allows the mm's to hide their actions while helping out their buddies....hedge funds.
oldmystic
yes, t/a is alive and well! thanks
Just got back a while ago from my oncologist and review of my bloodwork...looks like the market has now decided to turn into the small caps to me! The strength in the $XBI and $IBB certainly helps, right?
This might be the start of new leadership in 2024 since biotech has been out of favor for a long, long time.
I think I would continue to focus on the weekly charts so that as in and out traders take profits on their positions, seems to me that in spite of that, the trend should last well into next year! I guess Missling is now happy that his option exercise @ $8 on 232,000 retained shares from that 500,000 cashless exercise sale & share partial exercise was worth doing.
Yes, I always worry about option expiration, especially on the quarterly quad....also, the bonus period for traders at end of month....not sure how index, etf re-balancing will affect AVXL...my contact normally addresses this as he had 50 traders working for him on this stuff.
As far as something promised by Missling, who knows if his "surprise" is in the works.......ha ha
Very nice charts....a couple of things....I love RSI but normally it doesn't go above 90....the CCI has NO limits and will probably top out at 220 as in the past views....also you might want to draw in a curved, sweeping trendiine...I do mine mentally and manually now...this is why I was considering a jolt higher with a possible parabolic move up...blow off....just adjusting my thinking....9.50 for traders might be a good target, but certainly possible for higher....volume needs to grow.
Thanks, Kentucky!
I would expect a run at least to next "visible resistance" @ 9.50....getting above the 200 day pretty much forces many portfolio managers to turn bullish (assuming a lot of them do use TA....my experience is that the younger managers DO).....Of course, as always the price has to stick and the momentum now is seen everywhere as people shift from on side of the boat....ha ha
Thanks, Citrati....wish you the best, too!
You just gotta laugh at that one....JBOG's comment was golden!
Who would believe that Pfizer would be priced this low after the billions they made from COVID even with the current decline in vaccines!.....
I have to admit that with my medical issues and various infusions of Rituxan over 4 years that I would have had the reactions to my body when I thought they would have had the bad effects they have had on my body....the protein spikes from monoclonal antibodies certainly have had good and bad effect.,,,
In September of this year, I had the RSV vaccine and 2 days later my immune system caused (my opinion only) my CRAZY reactions...
Have a great day! Go to my oncologist today to see if anything can be pinpointed after 8 vials of blood taken.....🤕
Oldmystic:
Thanks! Tomorrow I see my oncologist...to review all that blood they took....(when does it end??? ha ha) but really happy about the family coming over for several days up to Christmas...the 3 grand kids come home from college on Dec. 15th which is my oldest daughter's birthday!
Hope these price flips hold up...see why I normally don't wait for a 13 completion....8 or 9 are normally enough for me (if you allow for mistakes....and boy, do I have a lot)...Cheers😊
Don't you think what happens with one of our competitors is worth listening to? Actually, I think it is important based on their expected and announced timeline...I like to hear about AVXL, ANVS, ACAD, AXSM, and SAVA....keeps me thinking rather than just cheering.
You know I am long AVXL and do not have positions in the others.
Just my thoughts at this time; hoping that we do get some information on RETT before Dec. 31st!!!!
Preakness was 2nd leg; of triple crown and yes; Belmont is the longest last leg (1 1/2 mi)....but was there any doubt?
triple crown winner....everything that horse did was unbelieveable
oldandintheway glad to see another race fan
Secretariat was the best horse I've EVER seen & with that 20 length lead into the close....Dynamite
Oldmystic:
I certainly respect this view which is technically in line with the resistance levels indicated , but for some crazy reason I always look for the alternate possibility and tend to agree with Ed Yardeni and Tom Lee...both expecting a very strong year end push UP...
Currently, the thoughts are for a natural & sharp set back; I'm taking the opposite view and expect a sharp thrust higher into late December.
When everyone is on one side of the boat, it's better to, at least, consider the opposite view....
My cataract surgery on my 2nd eye went well even though we had to be there at 6 am!!! I have noticed a great improvement; immediately, no need for distance glasses, just readers plus 150.
Cheers!
Oh Oh! Are we stepping into quicksand?
My second cataract surgery went well today and I was hoping to read that AVXL took off....it's hard to be but I was able to see the price today and it stinks.....well, let's see if the Captain is willing to go down with the ship.....SAVA's breakout from the leap from the 200 day AND triangle gave a swing target to the 30's and I see it hit there today!
maybe January? Who knows?....maybe the Shadow knows
🫣
Just eyeballing it
AVXL looks fairly ok to me in that we dropped slightly below the 200 day, but have so far been able to regain that level...I always use plus or minus, but it does need to hold up and push up HARD, above the recent highs...kind of a lukewarm signal at this point....I guess our "surprise" is not today (lol)
Comparing another launch from above the 200 day and especially with the nice triangle breakout on SAVA...it gives a visual target into the 30s...so that's the way a break above the 200 day "should behave"....AVXL needs someone to light the fire.
yes, I think boi568 mentioned that!
Kevin, ha ha.....the chopping up screen example was a shocker
Doc328.......thanks!
Your expertise is certainly to be respected and I do!
This progress now encourages me to re-visit $CRSP.
ignatiusrielly35
You are right, but I was hoping to AVOID litigation stocks....maybe that is a problem? I certainly hope that we are not in that position....
🤔

Yes, that's the sixteen year old that was cured of sickle cell & reported on TV earlier today!
You might remember when that Dr. in China was the first doctor who did it on a BABY and he suffered from doing something that is considered dangerous by the medical community about a year or so ago. The problem as I understand it is Gene Therapy is not final and can be "adjusted", but Gene Editing is "Final" and can't be undone or fixed.....so the cure either works or it doesn't. ONE & DONE seems to be the goal....
Keep up the good work!
Best to you (I think we see things pretty much the same)....
Doc328
Just read this and I am surprised that your post did not receive more thumbs up....you are thorough and clear even to people like me with a limited knowledge base!
Jimbo50
You are correct about that and I did indeed think that 7.50 to 8.00 would not break, I did admit to that several times and posted it here, too! It was another bad call on my part! Not happy, but I have to accept tomatoes being thrown in my face!!
Currently, we have a sweeping uptrending channel which often leads to a sharp blast up, it's different from normal straight line uptrends with a straight line up and parallel top resistance...it's a curve.
I might have "hyped up" the parabolic move up which is probably a mistake on my part....my bad! This is a message board where I thought I would be able to express my thoughts without harm.
Kevin:
Sorry to hear, about that!
My wife continues to worry about herself and the impact it would have on our very close family since her father died with it!
To me, gene editing will be the most successful, permanent way to go rather than gene therapy which is a temporary fix.
I've read about it ever since that great litigation came up about who actually had the initial patent...I did not think that patent litigation outcome was correct, but what do I know? I mentioned $CRSP a few times here, but had no response from many other than you!
That sixteen year old who had it done was super!
I think the FDA will approve it today?
Hi Kiwi!
Well, I do have some problems right now, but at my age I will have to deal with them as best as possible!.....hope all goes well for you especially with Christmas coming up; we'll be very happy to see our grandkids home from college for the holiday; they keep me and my wife motivated and happy.
I'm waiting on $SWAV and glad to have made a few bucks on my entry and exit!
Best, Steve
