My biggest like about AB besides the fact they actually make movies and their Distributors put them On the Box Office In China is the FACT That U.S production companies like Warner, MGM, Dis,AMZN etc etc Have limited access to China Screens as China has A quota of only #34 Foreign films per year that are allowed in China. The biggest and fastest growing Box office revenue maker on the Planet. As AB has offices in NY NY and Singapore. Obviously they are Positioned.

THIS IS HOW NETs WILL CHANGE TV AND FILM INDUSTRY. Source: Adobe/Anna
"NFTs bring a strong value proposition to the table as an alternative source of revenue and digital-native audience engagement."
"Every major production company is looking into using NFTs."
NFTs could grant the right to vote on how the next season of a TV show plays out, or access to special content that can only be seen by NFT holders.
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have already begun taking over the music industry, and now they’re turning to the film and TV sector. Case in point: animated series “Stoner Cats” raised USD 8.4m at the end of July in a sale of NFTs (that grant holders the exclusive right to watch episodes), selling out in only 35 minutes.
This is only the beginning, since industry players speaking with Cryptonews.com say that a growing number of film and TV studios are beginning to look into NFTs. In fact, global production company Enderby Entertainment partnered with CurrencyWorks in June to form VUELE, the first full-length feature film NFT viewing and distribution platform.
And for many within the crypto and TV-film industries, NFTs might not only provide a new, lucrative source of merchandise, but could also help to shape this industry in new ways. This will include enabling smaller, indie production firms to secure financing, as well as potentially using NFTs to let viewers vote on plot developments, among other things.
‘A strong value proposition’
“As with any creative sector, be it film, photography, or music, NFTs bring a strong value proposition to the table as an alternative source of revenue and digital-native audience engagement,” said Alex Salnikov, Co-founder and Head of Product at Rarible.com.
While acknowledging that the NFT space is still in its early days, Salnikov nonetheless affirms that we’ve begun seeing more adopters from traditional industries — including film and television — experiment with NFTs, in the process validating them as a business component.
He reminds that, just this year, the first Oscar-nominated film was released as an NFT, while media giants as big as Fox started to explore investment and building opportunities within the space.
“All these actions have a domino effect: they influence other major players in the industry to give NFTs a go, while budding artists and creators get even more inspired to explore this new exciting medium,” he told Cryptonews.com.
Salnivok also notes that Rarible itself hosted an NFT sale by award-winning director Michael Beets, held in order to raise funds for the world’s first documentary filmed live by refugees around the world. These may only be modest initial steps, but according to some figures within the NFT space, they signal an imminent widespread shift within the TV and film world.
“Every major production company is looking into using NFTs to drive fan engagement and find new revenue lines. The licensing arrangements for films are complex so it's taken some time to work through the proper ways to implement, but we expect once that's resolved NFTs will become a big part of the fan experience for movies,” said Wes Levitt, Head of Strategy at Theta Labs, the company behind Theta Network (THETA), a blockchain-powered video streaming network.
Mintable CEO and Founder Zach Burks corroborates this picture of growing interest in NFTs within the film and TV industry, suggesting that most will get involved in one way or another.
“I think we've already seen TV studios and production companies diving head first into NFTs. From CNN to Fox, to indie studios there is a lot of

China has surpassed the US as the world's biggest box office. Here's the government's 5-year plan for its movie industry.

The Chinese government laid out a five-year plan for its film industry this week.
China surpassed the US as the world's biggest box office during the pandemic.
Experts say that China no longer needs Hollywood, and that fewer Hollywood movies could be released there.
China surpassed the US as the world's largest theatrical market last year, thanks mostly to local productions that helped it rebound quickly from months-long, pandemic-related shutdowns.
Its government intends to keep the box-office crown.
The China Film Administration recently laid out its five-year plan, in which it pledges to turn China into a "strong cultural power" by "adhering to the Party's total leadership over film work," according to Variety. Deadline noted that the plan was highlighted during last week's plenary session of China's Communist Party.
Variety reported that the plan includes:
Releasing 50 films per year that gross at least $15.7 million
Releasing at least 10 movies per year that are "critically acclaimed and popular"
Local films accounting for more than 55% of total box office per year
Having 100,000 theater screens by 2025, an increase from 77,000 currently
Establishing a "national high-tech film research laboratory"
"Promoting the overall improvement of the level of film special effects through the vigorous support of sci-fi films"
Overall, Chinese productions should illustrate a "trustworthy, lovable, and respectable image of China," the plan said.
The plan reflects steps that the Chinese government has already taken to control the film market.
In a recent conversation with Insider, Aynne Kokas — a media studies professor at the University of Virginia and the author of the book "Hollywood Made in China" — observed a "widespread tightening" of Chinese media and the movie industry.
Simu Liu plays Shang-Chi. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures
It's particularly impacted Hollywood releases. No Marvel movies have been approved for release in China this year, from "Shang-Chi" to "Eternals," amid controversies that have sparked the ire of some Chinese nationalists.
Kokas predicted that fewer Hollywood films would be approved in China in the years to come, and those that are would face stricter regulations. China currently has a 34-film quota on foreign releases.
Chris Fenton, a film producer and author of the book "Feeding the Dragon," noted that the China market is "moving away from Hollywood."
"They don't need Hollywood to fill seats anymore," Fenton said. "'The Battle at Lake Changjin' can do that."
"The Battle at Lake Changjin" is a Chinese war film that has grossed $882 million so far from only China, making it the highest-grossing film in the world this year. It's set to be released in other markets soon, like the US and UK.
"Godzilla vs. Kong" Warner Bros.
Chinese films have carried the region's box office during the pandemic. Aside from "Fast 9" and "Godzilla vs. Kong," Hollywood films have largely stumbled.
If the Chinese government wants the country's own films to account for 55% of its annual box office, that shouldn't be too difficult moving forward. They made up 50% of the Chinese box office in 2016, 60% in 2018, and 85% in 2020, according to the research firm Ampere Analysis.
A major part of the Chinese government's theater expansion plans, and its quest to improve its technological prowess, could be Imax, the film technology company that specializes in high-quality cameras and projection systems. CEO Richard Gelfond told Insider during a recent interview that the China market could support 1,300 Imax theaters. There are currently 750 in the region.
The company has embraced Chinese films in recent years. "The Battle at Lake Changjin" was filmed with Imax cameras.
"Our brand grew up with the Chinese film industry to a certain extent," Gelfond said.
Keep Eye On China Box Office. China Has Passed Hollywood Up Big Time! Not To Worry! AMC Has Big Foot Print In CHINA. China Does Not Need Hollywood Any more. Quotas and Nationalism For Home Grown Production Has Taken Center Stage... KEEP EYE ON SMALL CHINA IN HOUSE PRODUCTION COMPANIES AS WELL)) HOLLYWOOD NEEDS CHINESE PARTNERS TO GET AROUND QUOTAS..

Up until 2019 the "theatrical window" In Asia was six months. They switched to Three months to Boost the VOD . Asia is slowly moving back to Six month Window which explains why we will have Two movies playing at Box office at Once, And perhaps Three.......While the theatrical window was originally conceived as being six months, as of 2019, it had been reduced to an average of three months.[12] Major movie studios reportedly pushed to shrink the theatrical window in an attempt to make up for the substantial losses in the DVD market suffered since the 2004 sales peak. These attempts have encountered the firm opposition of theater owners, whose profits depend solely upon attendance and therefore benefit from keeping a movie available on their screens.
Here is a older link that discusses how Abqq Director Producer Chiyaun Deng Formats his Movies And how He Targets The Young Box Office Enthusiast that Hit the Theaters At MIDNIGHT The Dusk to Dawn Crowd... The film "Love All Over the World", which focuses on commercial "anti-monopoly", was officially released on January 22, with outstanding results on the first day of release. In the fierce competition in the downturn of the movie market and a total of 11 films released on the same day, "Love All Over the World" broke through with innovative themes, and won the "Presale Attendance Champion on Premiere Day" and "Premiere Day" before the release. The two major awards of "Championship Per Game", and won the third box office of the same film on the day of the premiere, second only to the comedy film "Big Red Packet" and the anti-epidemic documentary film "Wuhan Day and Night", which is enough to show the audience's expectations for the film And love.
The movie "Love All Over the World" is directed by Deng Chiyuan, starring Liang Haodong and Xu Dan. The film shows the story of how a group of young technology, innovation and entrepreneurial youths faced the suppression of international industry monopoly oligarchs, how to win in a difficult situation and finally realize their entrepreneurial dreams. The suppression of the dark forces of international capital and the cohesion of innovative technology companies revealed in the film are very suitable for the current international political and business environment.
In addition to showing major propositions such as capital monopoly and environmental protection technology, the film also has refreshing emotional lines. The emotional line in the film does not perform the so-called "gong fight" drama like most films, but portrays the emotions of men and women from a higher human perspective. In the film, the male lead Wei Tianbao is a young technology entrepreneur. The director does not avoid his personal emotional past and current situation. The three women around him have different roles in their emotional careers, but they are on the commercial battlefield and protecting the environment. This kind of big right and wrong, they are all his powerful promoters-the predecessor paid money to help the male protagonist break the predicament regardless of the predecessor, the current director uses the talent and tact of the director to resolve the crisis, and the secret admirer contributes professional brainpower to help technological breakthroughs. Personal emotional interests, not limited to small love and small love, unanimously support the hero in chasing dreams, showing the love of human nature.
Interestingly, this emotional line also aroused the audience's interest in discussion**.** An entertainment blogger initiated a hot topic discussion #?????????# on Weibo, which attracted nearly 30 million views in just one day, attracted a large number of netizens to watch, and initiated thousands of hot discussions. .
In fact, the audience's attention to the film is not only on social platforms. According to the information announced by Maoyan at 0:00 on January 22, the movie "Love All Over the World" has won the "Champion of Pre-sale Attendance on the First Screening Day" and the "Champion of Per-Game Per Game Pre-sale on the First Screening Day" before its release. On the day of the release, the film also showed another characteristic in terms of attendance-young audiences are highly enthusiastic about watching movies, and have a higher attendance rate in the late night scenes of first-tier cities in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Among the several movie studios visited at random, For example, Shenzhen Firwood Huan Teng Cinema, Guangzhou Harbin Art Fashion Cinema (Qifu Store), Guangzhou Xiyang Times Cinema (Huadu Xingguanghui Store) and other cinemas have almost full at midnight, and they are basically young men and women watching together. Film, to see the enthusiasm of young audiences

Me Thinks Chiyaun is going to "Light This Thing UP" DECEMBER. JANUARY...JUST LIKE LAST YEAR))
Television Rights, Streaming, and VOD
Once upon a time, it was all about DVD sales. Now, it’s far more about television rights, video-on-demand (VOD), and streaming.
For some producers, selling TV and international rights is a significant source of profit because the producer doesn't have to pay for marketing and P&A costs. Films have to leave the theater at some point, but they can remain evergreen on TV. How many times have you flipped through channels and come across “The Notebook” or “The Shawshank Redemption” yet again?
As for VOD, revenue from these deals should add hundreds of millions to a studio's bottom line. For indie films, there are several VOD release strategies: day-and-date (movies released simultaneously in theaters and VOD), day-before-date (VOD before theatrical), and VOD-only. Many films that don't have the special effects and big-name stars to lure people to the theater often profit from this model.
Streaming video is a new source of revenue for Hollywood movies. VOD revenues tend to dry up after a few years, but movie studios can still make money from older films by licensing them to Netflix or Amazon Prime. However, the success of original content on the streaming services also draws audiences away from traditional movies.
The Bottom Line
As the saying goes, nobody knows anything in Hollywood. The film industry is in flux, and ticket sales alone don't drive revenue. There’s merchandising, VOD, streaming video, foreign sales, and a plethora of other distribution channels that can help filmmakers, producers, and studios turn a profit. So who knows, the little indie that you invest in could just be the next "Little Miss Sunshine." Or not. In Hollywood, there are no guarantees.

When AB"s Distributor says Box office movie release for movie"CONFUSION" will open in One Thousand theaters!! THIS means they will have to make One Thousand "PRINTS" movie lingo on what we would call a CD. But these "prints" or CD that show the movie are not cheap"" $1,500 to $2,000. A print. AB Has never given a number in A NR except this one! ...........Here's the path a film usually takes to get to your local theater:
Someone has an idea for a movie.
They create an outline and use it to promote interest in the idea.
A studio or independent investor decides to purchase rights to the film.
People are brought together to make the film (screenwriter, producer, director, cast, crew).
The film is completed and sent to the studio.
The studio makes a licensing agreement with a distribution company.
The distribution company determines how many copies (prints) of the film to make.
The distribution company shows the movie (screening) to prospective buyers representing the theaters.
The buyers negotiate with the distribution company on which movies they wish to lease and the terms of the lease agreement.
The prints are sent to the theaters a few days before the opening day.
The theater shows the movie for a specified number of weeks (engagement).
You buy a ticket and watch the movie.
At the end of the engagement, the theater sends the print back to the distribution company and makes payment on the lease agreement.
Some of these steps may be combined and, particularly in the case of small independent films, additional steps may be necessary. As you can see, there is a lot that goes on before a movie is ever shown to a paying audience!
