And I disappeared again....unintentionally....still here
Good trading off the Euro the last few months. Hope everyone had a FANTASTIC Christmas and New Year's! I'm getting ready to rock and roll!
And here I thought it was me
Hi boys!
Good morning boys! I haven't been watching particularly close, as in daily, but it seems like a lot of our favorite pairs have been giving some good range trading possibilities for the last little while.
I just wish they would settle the outstanding trades from those last three days. I sold the day before it halted, and I do not have the money nor the shares. The amount is sitting in a "special fund" that I cannot access or write off or anything.
Are you winking at me, loverboy? LOL
SUUUUURRRREEEEEEEE he was
Watch your language, young man :-P
I feel liberated...iHub is back on in the office...WAHOO!
Hey Simple! I suppose I did fall off the earth to a good degree. I was trying to go into too many different directions with the coding and decided to sit back and watch for a bit. I think it has helped me get a clearer head and a better perspective for certain. I do know that equities have their place in the portfolio, but Forex is my heart.
I was actually shocked to see that I have access to iHub again. Just happened to try it today. I'll have to catch up on the new technical strides, but I will definitely check in on the board with more regularity.
HIIIIII Everyone! I can't believe it has been so long since I have been on this board, but I think about you all often. Hope you are well. Life has been pretty busy, so I haven't been near a computer much in the evenings. Lo and behold, iHub is accessible at work now. I am going to hope they don't block it again so I can check in from time to time.
Haven't traded much lately, though I am still perfecting my algorithms and autotraders. A little persistence and a lot of work, right?
Good luck and may the trade be with you!
Sherri
LOL - that is awesome! Gonna have to use that later....
Don't pass out, I am, in fact, still alive....so aggravated with the new CFTC rules that I needed to cool off a bit. No reason for them to prohibit my using a UK broker if the rules serve my needs. They just wanted to keep us little guys in the cellar a while longer.
Had my EA working wonderfully, but now I have to rip out the hedging ability and retest. Still can't connect from work to iHub, and now it appears retirement is farther away than before.
Time for me to go sulk - hope you are all doing well! I miss you guys!
Don't everyone pass out now....I am worn out with work, gymnastics, softball, t-ball, and everything else in between. Still around, and still dancing with this thing called Forex. You guys are always in my thoughts, and I hope your trading is going well. I hope things are starting to slow down a bit and I can check in more often...one day I will be doing this daily again as I used to
I almost choked when I saw that, quite by accident
Just popped in to say hello to my long lost friends. I hate not being able to reach iHub from work any more....I'm still holding for bigger and better though!
LOL - I think if it were truly going for $25, everyone around would dump and it would crash faster that you can say .10 please
Nice days this week....
Yes, and it certainly has a track record of holding its price when everything else starts to crumble. Energy was certainly a good sector to ride out the recent turmoil....
Morning all...preparing for the daily commute
Very curious to see how long this risk rally lasts. Something a friend noted in the equities, in case you all haven't seen it, is that the rallies all seem to be lower in volume, but when the selling kicks in, people have really been jumping on. Almost like they are waiting for the opportunity to sell safely. Anyone else seen this?
August and September are definately times for pennies to do great things, and with our product, that would be a good marketing strategy.
I'm only about a week late, but thank you kindly for the birthday wishes. It was my last official birthday, and now I have moved on to anniversaries of my 39th birthday
Been a CRAZY week, so I have not signed on iHub until now. Still working as hard as ever on my Forex, but it has had to take a back seat for a bit. Changing bosses and projects at work.... On a happier note, hopefully I will have some good stuff to share with the board soon.
Happy Trading! Oh, and pennies? I jumped on that GU short, so we shall see -- looks a tad weak on the bid
Hi boys! Haven't posted in a while, but I am still holding all of my shares. After seeing one of these at the Senior Bowl last year, and seeing the local response when Jimmy (Margaritaville connection) held his free concert, hard not to think this product will be going places....
In fact, I may try to add a few while she's cheap.
Hope you are all well!!
You aren't kidding....I have been looking for it for days, and now that I dumped a position, it should drop. Absolutely no reason for it to run 1000 pips in this short period of time. I often wonder if the low volume on the NYSE/etc translates to Forex as well and we will see more realistic trading come September.
No, they are still absolutely anal about safety, which is a good thing. They have neat rewards for employees when they go long periods with no accidents. The employees all police themselves....cool stuff.
I actually have a Windows Mobile phone, but I get almost no signal in the office because I am in a secure building. Already looked at netbooks with no luck either
Hi Boys! Every day gets a little closer to being home.....hope you guys are still collecting pippage. Hoping to have some new things to offer the board sooner than later
Still trucking along...the new CEO seems to be mandating lots of operating cost cuts. Hopefully that translates to a better bottom line.
Now this is my kind of day Ready to rock and roll!
Hello all - I am still around with you guys, just waiting patiently. July 4th time frame would sure be ideal to release something....
Hi boys - very curious to see how the world looks at that Romanian news. Hoping its another GU and EU dump
Hope you are all well!
Morning all - haven't been around too much lately. Increasingly hard to log on from work now. I still think about you guys often and will try to be around more in the morning, etc.
Good luck with your trading!
If they didn't, there would be a whole lot of Alabama folks (at least) lined up ready for an old-fashioned lynching. The claims process seems to be getting a bit ridiculous already....deja vu of Katrina and insurance claims. Sad stuff....
Mind you, I don't hold the stockholders responsible for this mess, but I do believe any distributions or spending should be strictly related to clean-up, etc. until we at least have a handle on the situation. Last I heard and saw, we are still adding food coloring to the Gulf in a nice shade of brown.
Ditto from me, breen. I had to work a bit this week, but I feel like it was a really good one, and I have pocketed some valuable lessons. I miss talking to everyone on the board as much, but, truth be told, I think I am trading better since I am not so chatty.
I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
I found it after Omar pointed out you can change the type. There are certain menu places you can use to get that option, not all of them work, which is weird.
Thanks for the help!
I sure do hope the sucker part of that candle sticks too....ready for maximum carnage European style!
For those of you that posted the dollar index could touch 87, you were not far off at all. We need to mark that article and watch what that source says, because they obviously have a copy of the script
But does that allow you to change the price, or does it execute at that particular price? That is the part I can't seem to find. For example, if I want to set a sell 100 pips away, can I in MT4?
Morning all....don't laugh at this question, but do you know how to put a limit buy in using MT4? I have only found ways to do it instantly or through an EA. TIA!
It almost seems like as soon as London closed, the trickle down started....maybe the Dow was somewhat following the currency pop and increases in other markets. I have to admit, I like the red and hope to see more the rest of the week
Congrats on your pippage, SG!
Absolutely beautiful! I felt that way about a couple of closes I had the last few days.
You are my resident Swissy expert - what do you make of all this? Temporary drop since the Euro ran or correcting from those overbought long term charts? TIA!
Well said....that, and folks are so used to eating lots of seafood that comes cheaply and it isn't available (or I should say the supply is starting to dwindle). Some of the areas hit hardest by Katrina that were just getting back to normal now have this to deal with, and so many of those places are fishing, fishing, and more fishing (and SHRIMP) towns.
The beaches and tourism seem to be holding their own for now. I was just at Gulf Shores last weekend and it seemed as busy as usual. Could just be sightseers looking at the oil though -- not sure.
OK, I am caught up now. Working on Mom's computer to get it up to snuff. Doing OK trading for now, and hoping to do OK for a while
This particular incident could have happened to any one of the oil companies. Where I fault BP/RIG/et al is cutting corners. The reports from the survivors and the victims' families are that BP knew for weeks and months that there were issues and king dollar kept them from fixing the problems.
We are always (for the next few years at the very least) going to be dependent on oil and not willing to change habits that require them to drill anywhere and everywhere. It could just as easily happened a couple miles offshore.
Yep - and it is supposed to be more active than usual. Five years since Katrina, and it would be unusual to go a decade without another one. It would be our luck...
I do have to say that the local and state officials are doing everything they can to protect the beaches and the wildlife. Local volunteers are darn impressive as well.
