@mecurio
My comment was about leadership. Having since read NP was again in the public eye last Saturday, has only added to my frustration. However, whether you were trying to infer I was questioning the science or not, please let me clarify I WAS NOT. There are obviously fewer credible posts questioning the science than the weak management!
@ calstang:
And CEO Nader also said on the recent Conf Call that that these Philippine results are "very very strong" (his exact words).
I think NP feels kinda guilty, thats why he continuously puts on a good show to make it appear hes doing his job.
It's quite evident @ misiu143 is among many other contributors here who have some science or medical background, and who obviously have much more related knowledge than you (and admittedly, than I) . However, until the deeply flawed leadership is is replaced by CREDIBLE and experienced pros, the merits and potential of the science will languish, or at best continue to suffer virtually endless delays. Thus, and most regrettably, even salient information on the topic is rendered to the status of superfluous banter.
I can't begin to imagine how many CYDY longs are in the most frustrating investment position of their lives, and most unfortunately, while the shorts have probably never been gifted such repeated opportunity!
Spot on as usual, Scooter!
Perhaps it needs to come from a 'real scientist' and not just a doctor (smh)
Excellent strategy Mntman5!! I'll definitely check my stomach! In the meantime however, my brain tells me the most profoundly positive, and long term effect on CYDY success (for both expediting care for patients, and for SP), would be the news of NP being replaced by someone who's credible, a succinct communicator, savvy, sufficiently experienced in Biopharm, listens to others, and IS NOT a dictatorial ego maniac. Frankly, someone with just the latter 2 qualifications would probably move the needle immediately.
...knocking the CEO and management may come back to haunt several.
]
Otherwise I think sp will go down to the $2's or lower again, and will stay there much longer as nobody will have any faith that NP knows anything about being a CEO imo.
Amen!!!
Why On Earth is CYDY Not being sponsored by the Government ????
Not included in ANY trials ????
CT, your points are well taken, and equally well written! However, what may (subjectively) be equally "amazing" are the combined opportunity and dilution costs resulting from the "fumbling speech, ancient bank overdrafts", etc., etc. Extolling the virtues of such a potentially transformative medicine, while minimizing the importance of the capabilities of those managing the endeavor to efficiently and expediently bring it to fruition, might be a little contradictory.
Great points tmac, and likewise, I appreciated turning stones' post. Regarding the latter, and to stress the obvious, knowing that a significant number of savvy health care professionals are confident enough in the science to invest would be welcome information to all longs! However, (to tmac's comments about Mgt), regarding those who laugh at some of the posts on this board, doesn't that also beg the question whether they also find humor in NP's tendency to fumble and stumble through his regular hype sessions? Yes savvy bio-pharm investors, behold the CEO and voice of your ~ $3B market cap Co !! May the science prevail regardless !!!
A court order, accusing the FDA of 10,000 and more death from the virus, for neglecting willfully the approval of a perfect medication, Leronlimab.
Even in the case of the posts by the blatantly obvious Nader devotees, if just one of the numerous salient and germane points (made in the post being replied to), were addressed with some reason or logic (rather than making a single comment about a decision that has yet to yield any tangible results), the fundamental position in that reply might have some modicum of credibility, and thus relevance.
Further to Scooter's post, if I may quote @ Bridge to sell's long but relevant post on the Yahoo board yesterday:
"... it's rare to find a CEO who is a 'five tool player' as they say in baseball. I believe that Nader has been an excellent shepherd of Pro-140 but he does have his weaknesses and failing to acknowledge them is failure to see the whole potential for Vyrologix.
For example, it has taken far too long to get a proper BLA for HIV filed. You can argue that an issue such as that can be solved by throwing money at it, which CYDY will have in plenty if approval comes. I, however am of the mindset that it takes more than a bottomless piggybank to be a successful Fortune 500 company CEO.
We have only to look at a few examples of well funded blue chip companies on either NYSE or NASDAQ to realize that maximum value gets unlocked by world class CEOs. Such CEOs have years of experience in their fields and connections that Nader could only dream about. I'm not knocking the guy, far from it.
I'm only saying that hard work can get you so far, but unless you're a disrupter like Zuckerberg or Page & Brin, you have to play in the same sandbox as everyone else. When that's the case, then being the new guy in an 'old guy' network means you have a lot less advantages in your favor.
When it comes to biotech I think Vyrologix would get additional approvals much more quickly with an experienced CEO at the helm who already has a worldwide manufacturing, marketing, and distribution network in place. Otherwise it takes time (years) to build one or form the right kinds of partnerships to emulate one. Those will be years of lost revenue to us.
Look at Vyera. All Vyrologix sold in the entire United States for HIV has to go through them. Are they really the very best company to do that? I would argue that our drug could generate much more revenue in the hands of a better HIV partner but now we're stuck and Vyrologix will not achieve the kind of sales that it could have in better hands.
There comes a point when you have to change out the starting pitcher if you want the big win. He may have another inning or two in him when you do, but it's still the smart move to win the game. I think that Vyrologix is worth more to patients and shareholders in the hands of a world class pharmaceutical company. Just look how hard we're fighting for EUA compared to Regeneron or Gilead."
How can giving someone due credit for their strengths and achievements, as well as noting their errors, weaknesses and limitations, be anything other than realistic, thus credible?
Everyone sees what they want to out of the conference call but no one seems to understand how insignificant the call was it has absolutely no bearing on our CD12 results he could have had half a jar of peanut butter in his mouth and mumbled and slobbered his way through charts drawn with crayons by kindergarteners none of it matters only the results and the effectiveness of Leronlimab on S2C covid 19 patients matters at this point .
I totally agree but when BP all see what we have it will be a flood gate of offers and the price will go through the roof.
AMEN, Grip!
Whatever Lero "COULD" do, it WOULD probably happen faster without the MIRACLE of Nader. My fear has always been the CYDY delays, and what BP may have in the development pipeline, and their ability, in general, to be more expedient. LOVE TO BE WRONG ABOUT ALL THE ABOVE.
Can't say it any better than Grip: "Yes ! A million times YES!!" And thanks to both of you!
Saltz, as always, all spot on. The following most concisely nails it!
A miracle molecule that has been managed w a reckless shotgun approach.
Sorry, but at this point, as long as NP is at the forefront, I think "probably", as well as one NP's favorite words, "hope", are meaningless.
Considering the dollars and the lives potentially at stake, why would anyone who is such a flagrantly dismal failure at messaging, continue to do so?
Albeit, stressing the obvious, people have been futilely posting ad nauseum for years about the Wooly Mammoth in the room. And Scooter McCabe's in depth analysis of NP absolutely nailed it! Thank you again, Scoot!
NP acts like an NFL QB, who, because he's also the president of the team, insists on calling all the plays from the huddle, even though he's clearly demonstrated his inability to do so successfully. The owners (shareholders) are either MIA or too many of them have blind faith they will prevail because the raw talent of the team is better than that of the competition. Regarding the team's management and coaches, whether they are consciously complicit or not, they don't care; the QB/President hired them and they are paid well, win, lose or draw.
Not a perfect analogy, but...
Institutional Investors would not abide NP’s shenanigans.
The more NP “explains” or better yet , rationalizes things, the less credible he sounds [And then there are the numerous times he's actually managed to share what's truly good news in such a confusing way that much of the positive impact is lost in the incoherent muddle] ... and the market agrees.
Stunning!
I'd love to see either of the following catalysts, neither of which would require any action or approval from a GOVT entity or board:
1) Replace NP
2) Class action firm (more formidable the firm, the better, but...) files wrongful death against FDA and/or CDC
A) How many members are among the class of those who've lost loved ones due to the dreadfully slow (possibly remiss) approval (e.g. EUA) process(s), and the resulting lack of LL availability to many who could have been saved?
B) Notwithstanding the merits (which in the worst case would be inversely proportional to the potential publicity), while the potential benefit to CYDY and covid patients would likely be DIRECTLY proportional to the success and breadth of the publicity.
Do you actually think Mgt is "Golden"?
@ Grip: Always clear thinking!
In the interest of taking a hiatus from the frustration (primarily related to NP's general performance, and more specifically to his messaging, both of which are a detriment to CYDY), today ended about 9 days of ignoring CYDY. I should've taken a longer break! And yes, like many pilots with delusions of grandeur, NP is clearly oblivious to the mountain in his path! However, even more incredible to me, is the delusion of those who could possibly still believe he's totally dedicated to the shareholders. Thankfully you and numerous other savvy advocates of CYDY are equally knowledgeable and realistic, and post it "like it is". I appreciate the input.
Yes Psea, but no matter what he does it's always for the benefit of the company and the share holders, right!?!? Oh, and did I leave out, to inspire the confidence of new investors?!!!
Re CYDY uplisting and "GeoVax Announces Closing of $12.8 Million Public Offering and Uplisting to Nasdaq" [https://finance.yahoo.com/news/geovax-announces-closing-12-8-180000883.html]:
Can anyone (please) explain how, with a Market Cap that's approx ~1% of CYDY's , as well as having very little potential relative to the indications of Leronlimab, could GOVX have just uplisted to Nasdaq?

@ The Bio:
his FDA
Perhaps some will see Fauci might not be the crooked one!!
The antibody cocktail is in four late-stage clinical trials, and its safety and efficacy have not been fully evaluated by any regulatory authority, the company said on its webpage.
His can anyone think Nader would suddenly plop down HIS OWN money and buy, let alone, EXERCISE options to buy CYDY stock??
Can someone please explain why interested parties shouldn't focus on NP, when his obvious and regularly demonstrated ineptitude is clearly a hindrance to both the CYDY's progress and the SP! How can any serious, current or potential shareholder, let alone the majority, be expected to simply accept the notion "CYDY will succeed in spite of NP's numerous shortcomings"?
At a market cap of nearly $2B, how is it not the duty of any BOD to mandate that the company's CEO demonstrate the level of competence resulting in the majority saying "This management, combined with the science and breadth of applications, makes the short and long term success inevitable!!"
Considering the science and it's potential, rather than the woefully pitiful, complicit, and enabling, "Don't worry the science will prevail", why doesn’t CYDY deserve a CEO with at a minimum, average competence?
Assuming you mean silence on part of NP, I'd guess most would agree!
Scooter, thanks much for nailing it so succinctly.
Likewise to Chuckles et al for chiming in with related salient points!
