Which points to the fact that nobody was really selling yesterday. If marketmakers continually have to go short then there will eventually be a problem. There just aren't that many shares out there. God forbid a fund catches wind of these guys and buys a million shares or two, which would be nothing for most funds.
Here is the report. I cut out where it comes from, but here is what is sent.
Total Trading Volume: 334400
Daily Short Volume: 245485
Avg. Price of Shorts Today: 0.131

Don, he gets specialized reports that track that sort of thing. It was actually 73.41% of the trading. I don't know how they calculate and quite frankly he said when it was explained to him he had no idea what they were talking about as well. They also monitor fails to deliver etc. to make sure that naked shorting doesn't occur or if it does, you can put firms on notice.
Wowza, you clearly no nothing about restricted shares. First these shares were already issued as part of the financing agreement. Second, the holding period is 6 months for reporting companies and 12 months for non reporting companies. These shares are saleable now and it could be why there has been a significant uptick in shorting. According to my "friend" another 245K were shorted yesterday. This could be TCA locking in their gains on shares while they wait for their shares to get cleared.
I originally found this company through a stockblog that I subscribe to. Its free and they have underfollowed picks. Carpe DM Stocks I contacted the guy and he told me that yesterday there was a lot of shorting going on in the stock. Over 100K shares were sold short. I don't know why anyone would do that, but it bears noting.
I wouldn't go to crazy with projections. The acquisition of the Mexican Distributor will help bottom and topline growth. New products and distribution will help as well, but to do well more than double sales is asking a lot. I would think 20 million is a good number to shoot for and if they do better that would a great thing. If they do 20 million in revenues they and continue to grow at this level they should be trading at 2-3x sales, which would be about at 150% price rise. If they continue to launch new products then that number could go higher, if they get improved distribution into places like Whole Foods again thats a driver. The biggest problem that I see is that there has been a consistent seller in the stock. Yesterday my buddy purchased 20K shares and put in a price above the offer. He got a better price than what was showing and the offer never moved. Additional shares were purchased on the offer and no movement again. They seem to have a big supply at the offer with no real end in sight.
RWE, while frontier has been buying, the marketmakers and others have been shorting to keep the stock from running away from them. Short interest is up to a whopping 7.3 million shares. If you pulled out the institutional holdings from the shares from the available float, you'd have nearly 100% shares of Nasdaq are now short. If one or two more funds come buying into this, where are are the shorts going to get their shares. They'll have to get them from Australia and then convert. There has been some share movement from Aus to here, but not enough to warrant this type of shorting activity. The countdown to a big announcement has begun. I'm surprised there hasn't been more option action, but there is time.
Alia, thanks. Excellent info. I knew a lot of what you were saying as you can see I was a poster from way back. I'm not familiar with the Money Runners. I would love if they got behind DSKX, that just needs a little push and it could be a dollar easy. Low float like this one. SIPs are going to be big business and if these tornadoes keep coming through, there will be plenty of business for DYNV to keep going. Huge opportunities and with their Green building capabilities if they can replace inefficient housing with efficient housing, then that only helps the US economy that much more. Its a win win all the way around.
True on all counts. All we need are few more finds like North Dakota and we'll be saying foreign what? So much happening there, but very little coverage going on in the media. Too busy wondering where the jobs are? Silly, but good for the people of North Dakota. If I were the governor I would institute the same plan that Alaska has which pays people a stipend to be there and remain there.
Hawkeye, people don't understand the enormity of the oil boom in North Dakota. The numbers are staggering. The other thing they don't understand is that despite the fact we are huge users of oil, we also are major exporters of oil. It makes no sense, but since they allow speculators to continually drive up the price of a barrel on no real substantative reason, oil become a great trade product for the US market. They make more money selling it overseas than refining it here. People are flocking to North Dakota. Its unemployment rate I think is the lowest in the country right now. No end in sight for the boom there. Its the new CA gold rush right now.
Have you guys read this blog http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2012/03/short-sighted-stock-selling.html
He's been talking about DYNV since the summer. I sent him a message the other day and he responded real quick, letting me know he's going to do a report on potential takeover candidates and he feels that DYNV falls into that category. They are still trading well below value on price to sales ratio. This could go 10 - 12x higher based on just a projected 1x sales ratio, which is low for a growth company.
$DYNV Up big on yesterday's news 28% and climbing
http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2012/04/dynv-breaking-news-30million-project.html
Thanks for posting the info on DYNV. Have you ever checked out DSKX? One seller has killed this stock. Company is doing great business wise, but can't get out from under the seller.
$UNIS up big major volume spike the last two days. Check out $DSKX $DYNV big uptick in revenues!! http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2012/03/short-sighted-stock-selling.html
Carpe DM Stocks: $DSKX - Breaking News! - Move to Acquire Mexican Distributor http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2012/03/dskx-breaking-news-move-to-acquire.html via @CarpeDMinc
yeah a huge amount of action.
The company is not doing either. Maybe some insiders are selling out since they didn't actually pay for these shares, but read what their CFO wrote in his resignation letter. You'll get the picture.
Take a look at the 8K filed. CFO resigned and read his letter. Why did it take a month for the company to file this with the SEC?
A lot of money is sitting on the sidelines waiting for this company to make its first big sales announcement. Once they have locked down some tangible sales, I think this will explode to double digit range. Huge short position and very small float will make for some real interesting trading days.
EboJr, you're right. This company needs a good IR firm, not just some pump and dump fly by night operation. Some real additions to the board and it needs to start producing some results not thank you letters. This stock was 14 cents six months ago and trending down ever since. A year ago it was 20 cents. At the rate its going its going to be a penny by this time next year. An S-1 may hurt the PPS short term, but if the company actually uses the funds to generate revenues, then it will be a long term benefit. If the money is used to pay salaries with no results well you'll see sub penny soon enough. Somebody needs to take some sort of action on this company.
Colossal, stop even trying to convince Energy Wave, he's gotta be a paid shill. He's constantly been telling the board that this stock was going to 30 cents, then 15 cents. Never got there. Sub penny yes, 15 cents nope. Lets hope they come up with a new pump so we can start the laughing process all over again.
stock was up big again in Australia. Closed at 3.75 US based on the current exchange rates. Lets hope that the momentum carries us to the $4 range sooon.
No he Dr. Gonenne is still CEO. I think he's in it for the long haul.
$AMBS anybody following this one. Took a whack yesterday so it could bounceback today. Very interesting sports medicine and parkinson's story. Here's a link to some info.
http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/11/ambs-ceo-interviewed-on-greenbaroncom.html
$DYNV - Dynamic Ventures was big yesterday on much higher than normal volume. Could get up to ten cents if the buying holds up.
$MBCI - MabCure had great news that got lost because it hit the wires so late in the day. Stock is trading at 9 cents, but if it clears the shares at 12 could run quick. Here's a link to the news. http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/12/mbci-breaking-news-completes-thai-trial.html
$MBCI looks like it may get ready to bolt out of the gate. They did a deal last week that should really help them out. http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/11/mbci-receives-500k-license-fee-breaking.html
$UNIS could see a major bounce today on breaking news http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/11/unis-unilife-signs-new-development.html
Stock got unjustly hammered down into the high 3s after doing a small secondary at 4.35. Could surpass that and get back up to 5 bucks in short order
$UNIS - Unilife had breaking news out this morning. Stock was up yesterday, but had been kicked way down after doing a secondary at 4.35. Looks like it could rebound to that level and beyond now. Company hints at more potential in release. http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/11/unis-unilife-signs-new-development.html
$UNIS Unilife just announced some big news today. Stock took a huge haircut after it completed its secondary last week. Looks like it wants to claw its way back. Take a look at the news. http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/11/unis-unilife-signs-new-development.html
I think you meant to say meltdown. This has been a straight downward trajectory for a while and nothing will change that path unless we get something besides Gold Fever and the Idaho Statesmen.
You mean their move to being one step closer to bankruptcy? Down to their last 60 grand in the bank. How long will that last? Tick Tock goes the clock.
High Stakes, Thanks. I will give Gabe a call. You should take a look at MBCI. Real interesting diagnotic technology for cancer. For something a bit safer you should take a look at UNIS. Just completed a nice cap raise so the stock got whacked, which means a great buying opportunity. I think it will recover back up to the low 5s pretty quickly. Too many funds like this company.
Thanks High, I have been looking at this one off and on for awhile. For a subpenny stock it doesn't trade much volume.
High Stakes, LOL on GNPG. I'm tired of beating that dead horse. The only time I really will post is when some of these paid pumpers jump on and spew lies about the company. Ed has made his bed of lies and will eventually go down with the ship. Anyway, onto bigger and better things.
Take a look at $AMBS http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/11/ambs-ceo-named-by-black-money-as-top-50.html
and $DYNV http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/11/dynv-showing-some-dynamic-growth.html
Both have great potential for explosive runs. Small floats, not a lot of stock issued.
What companies are you looking at?
$DYNV could be ready for a major run. Very thin up here. Buying could propel the stock into mid teens from 7 cents. Excellent revenue increase. http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/11/dynv-showing-some-dynamic-growth.html
Anybody here following Dynamic Venture ($DYNV) looks like it could move big on little buying volume. Stocks been trading a lot more actively of late. Take a look at this news. http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/11/dynv-showing-some-dynamic-growth.html
hopefully they'll keep up with the steady stream of news and progress and get this moving forward. Good start so far.
Have you seen this blog yet? http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/10/ambs-amarantus-biosciences-stopping.html
I bought some shares after the news earlier this week.
Anybody here picking up $AMBS, bought some the other day. Up on volume today and a new CEO. Added a guy from Novartis on Tuesday. Nice week so far. $UNIS holding strong and if it breaks over 5.30, could run to $6 short term Here's some info I picked up on AMBS http://carpedmstocks.blogspot.com/2011/10/ambs-amarantus-biosciences-stopping.html
I guess they got beat back down once people realized this was again a nothing press release. The company has had an affiliation with NHRA for a long time so this isn't going to do squat, like everything else they try. This pump was an epic #FAIL.
