What a joke
Anyone call the company? (ROTFL)
It's so much easier to condemn truth tellers, label them as bashers, blame the reality checkers, than it is to look to
the source of the problem. AMEP has let you all doooooooown.
BTW, sold out this morning (who cares?) you all will when max pain rolls around. Who're you going to call? Don't call me, I'm not to blame.
Wow! What a surprise, AMEP down again today.
WTF?
Mike, I'm not sure which dots you are referring to
But I'm not alone in my sentiment migrating south. Having held this over a year and seeing what they've done, I can't blame the naysayers anymore. You recall correctly that I was quite optimistic about AMEP's potential. If I hadn't been around the block more than once, I still might hold some of it. Right now, it's nothing but a short game, because even with my recent buys @.031, this is likely going south without any new drilling plans for the near future. The company has been as ineffective as the Bush administration as far as I'm concerned. How many calls did I have to make, and how many repetative and vague answers/excuses did I have to receive, to figure it out? Whether they save face with the help of a newly elected governance is the big question. With Bush's blunders, people like myself and Pockets (another pro-AMEPier from long ago) have every logical reason to hold this sentiment. Amazing what "stay the course" will do for an evangelist, and an ego driven oil wannabe baron. Like this country after 9/11, we had the entire world's support, and it was squandered then destroyed. That's what CB has done with my sentiment with AMEP. I look at the chart, and think we're looking at a double bottom with as much hope as I can have. But who knows. How much debate can there be? How much arguement? How much patience? Until the major realize it's time to vote them out of power, if shareholders ever get the chance to. Perhaps it will take Greeney to turn?
Rook, I always knew
you were a scumbag.
I mean "nobody" as per the general street given the volume.
Sometimes I make the mistake in assuming I am addressing a more
sophisticated audience. No basher factory, or market maker, or institution cares because at this price, chunks would be bought up, and they are not being bought up. The real question, beyond all the personal attacks and character assessment by strangers, which really doesn't effect people, is WHY has AMEP allowed this to occur?
Are they manipulating the price downward to pick up cheap shares themselves for friends and family? Why the rush to put out "it rained" then nada in the recent months on follow up. Even if the sanctimonious AMEP pumpers think is is normal or respectful of investors, I'd really beg to differ. There is a reason, and it seems we're getting to the bottom of it via the share price.
BTW, I bought another lot this morning @.031 but perhaps if the weakness continues we shall see a triple bottom with this.
OT - Hue, isn't a basher someone who doesn't own shares?
Or at least someone who won't admit to owning shares? Oh, and the what I own is no one's business but mine.
And Mrdibme, take you and your friends moral superiority to your nearest evalgelist. You know the one who might hire a male prostitute. You might find redemption there. Nothing worse than a sense of self righteousness. It's a good match with the self loather and self entitled characters.
Folks, these are opinions of AMEP. Everyone's got em. There isn't enough volume traded here for manipulation of the price. The company has seen this to fruition. No other factor is at fault but the company. You are kidding yourselves to thing bashers and MMs care enough about the 500 million shares of this. Particularly at the volume of shares traded. Nobody cares.
OT - Original Kennedy fortune from bootlegging
OT Too funny Hue, I suspect you prefer Trump's
I'm with established arbitors, and if you think Mrs. Drew Heinz (Theresa's mother) or Bergdorf Goodman are chump change, I think you might want to find another decorator other than me. Snap! LOL
With any luck, all my naysaying will be the reversed in the near future. Doubt it though, given the follow up.
Amazing what a lack of follow through by a company will do, eh?
Seems as if my man Midas discussed the future of AMEP with Chuck (so he says on RB, and I believe him at this point), who said nothing was coming down the pike soon, other than the proxy vote. No stabilized production numbers, nothing! Wow, how typical is that? Looks like it'll be a long breath holding session for you permabulls, who refuse to see the reality of the situation. I guess I'm lowering my expectation yet again, and anticipate Barney's max pain call of .025 to come soon enough. "Patients" is a virtue...... too funny. Now back to my trailer in Texas.
Oh yeah, thanks for the compliment. One of the apartments in the portfolio section is in the infamous Dennis Kozlowski building, a frequent guest on and client of Larry Kudlow and Cramer (not Kozlowski).
If the selling of 100K size lots continues this week, as it has for the past couple of sessions, we're looking at .02s
CTB - You love it! LOL
I guess it's better to concentrate of that rather than hating the share price, thanks to ole CB and JC.
Me, trailer obsessed? Far from it, and with NOTHING to hide. You might reach me here via my business website: http//www.duanekaschak.com. Back to my trailor! LOL
ROTFL
Pro, you are so NOT alone, and the perma bulls will have to admit insanity if they wait for yet another month (or two) to pass without SIGNIFICANT details on a progress report. Keep it real, it's refreshing! Thank you.
The fantasy theory of people wanting shares and attempting to bash their way into getting them cheap is just that. Take a look at the volume, and then the direction of the price. This has to do with the company failing to release news or production numbers. Whatever their excuse, the street seems to have had enough. So hold your breath as long as you'd like for the new year to bring the rewards for your loyalty. Some said this would be .72 by years end, and reality has hit hard. Perhaps some just can't handle the truth and feel it necessary to blame the public at large. It's all the AMEP's fault.
Perhaps Silver, but the facts are the facts, and the price is the price. Every factor that has been thrown into this has become a recipe for a major down turn in the price. Even the penny arcade that this trades in (being flooded with speculators, flippers, cut throats and scams) has taken in all the ingredients to dictate a lack of confidence in holding this even short term (which most won't admit to doing BTW). Look at the volume. Flippers are losing interest too. Company tactic?
Some feel comfortable with the answers they get from the home office with why and what. I don't think being skeptical at this point is necessarily a bad thing. The track record for follow-up and blatant lack of respect for the street is built into the price today, and that is the company's and only the company's fault. This is manipulation for one reason or another by the company. BDC conversion? possibly, but if anyone has been holding their breath over the past year to find the price per share exactly where it was (or lower) with the potential for even more shares being authorized by way of a reverse split, then they must be inhuman. Sentiment and emotion aside, the chart is the chart. Fortunately, the chart looks to have bottomed twice, so the opportunity is there for more flipping profit. Loyalty hasn't paid off for some who bought in after "it rained" around .11-14. I'm very thankful that wasn't me. Some may feel that venting frustration is futile, basher manipulation, or ridiculous. The company is solely at fault. No amount of annonymous forum posts will manipulate a stock price. The company has done this for a reason.
It's such an easy excuse to blame bashers and MMs for the price of an issue, and not direct full blame on the company.
Yes, bashers have existed with EVERY stock and AMEP is not an exception. But the bashers are obvious, with profiles born yesterday, and typical short time ignorance.
There is MUCH MUCH more to .03s rather than .06, and that isn't market maker manipulation. AMEP is not some clandestine secret oil company that only a few "savvy special" investors have "discovered". Nor is it some fantastical producer like some pumpers have done as endlessly as the bashers have bashed.
The low price is sole responsibility of AMEP management. Whether this is get it down to affordable levels for friends and family to buy, who knows? However, when there were plenty of shares to sell, they'd throw PRs out like "it rained" on a strategic play to dilute stock at the highest price possible. This isn't MM manipulation, but AMEP management manipulation.
All the math you put toward price per acre of Barnett land, and a higher profile has been NOTHING new! These stats have been know for years, except for the one working rig, and the other mothballed rig, which the dilution paid for over this year.
No debt, etc. has always been present to anyone who will read the 10Qs for over a year now, still the price continues to sink? How on earth can you possibly think a handful of basher (which every stock forum has) to account for the share price to be in the .03s? If you can offer a rationale for this, other than lame "bashers and MM" cliches, then some who have held AMEP for over a year or two (of which I am included) will listen.
Your list of assets has been know for years, and yet the price plummits? Why? Bashers? That is truly unrealistic IMO. There's more to it. Now, instead of shooting arrows at this post, perhaps you can offer some other reason why this has gone from .06 to .03? I'm buying more this week, as I did a few weeks ago @.031, but not to hold it as a serious investment. Unless they show investors the respect they deserve, and give them updates via PRs, even when they don't have shares to dilute on a spike up.
Well, I hope this rally has some legs considering.
Come 4:00, I hope to be up 25% or better.
We're heading into the .02s, then the .01s after that!
This is by design. I wonder why management thinks this is a good idea? Clearly they have some ulterior motive for this.
Otherwise, there really is no reason for the silent treatment.
Sure excuses will get them so far, but sooner or later the street figures it out, or speculates things aren't going well. Thus the price plummets.
If the book value is .04 and the price falls into .01 territory, the reasons aren't evident to existing investors until it's too late. The company has taken the PPS no where for long/loyal investors, and characterizes itself as a flipper's opportunity, rather than an investment.
Doc Sam,
This post is very different in sentiment than the email you sent to me immediately upon your return. Not to say that you not accurate on both accounts, but wouldn't you agree. I'm sure that your initial responses from you trip persuaded some to sell @.071. Don't get me wrong, because I'm not pointing fingers. What I am trying to grasp is your change in sentiment. You announced that you bought 100K shares @.063 a couple of days ago, and I wish both of us luck.
As with their nail-biting-very-last-minute quarterly report deadline submission (excused by the appointment of new accounting staff), I am hopeful that they will present something to the public this week. The official flow rate/progress report release wait has turned ridiculous, and opens up doors for skeptical speculation, something that a OTCBB company never needs.
The appauling failure to release news from the company is the problem and reason for the downturn. Regardless of what DD is shared on message boards by on site investors, nothing compares to official news released from the company.
I invision .0048 is nearing. Then I buy more. If not, I don't average down and sell on the spike. When you have over a billion shares out, NO ONE takes you seriously. AB has got to retire more shares if/when a settlement is reached.
He're a great chart by someone who know what they're talking about

Then we should see some flow numbers

Who knows? But I want settlement news
http://switch5.castup.net/frames/20041020_MemriTV_Popup/video_480x360.asp?ai=214&ar=1050wmv&...
Am heavily invested in AMEP, and happy about it.
OT.... was compelled to share this
http://switch5.castup.net/frames/20041020_MemriTV_Popup/video_480x360.asp?ai=214&ar=1050wmv&...
Me a slate LeMonde racer, usually at sunset. Magnificent picture postcard panoramic views. I don't have to tell you. Like my legs, me and AMEP are long and strong.
I'm on the upper eastside, so do the 59th through Williamsburg to Brooklyn, then up the westside highway through Central Park. 14 mile workout with lots to see.
Would be nice to end on an up note, but don't expect it today.
Quaid, I have known NYC my entire life having permanently relocated here from Princeton twenty years ago. Although I cycle over the Brooklyn Bridge, I have never considered owning shares of AMEP as opting to buy a piece of it.
This guys are running on Texas time, not the New York minute. It's an adjustment for the rest of us who aren't accoustomed to the pace. It's slow, but methodical. Like waiting for rain, or waiting and watching for a pot of water to boil, it will only frustrate if you let your expectations get you bent out of shape.
The flow numbers will come. Given all the combined announcements, I would think they will give multiple production advancements along with the Hart 8 numbers. They (MMs)walked this down for a perceived loss weekend before (remember the.049) after everyone was comfortable with .06. Then boom, it was off to the next level .11 Don't let them shake your resolve or belief in AMEP.
CB and JC just mozzying along, Texas style.
The MMs will move this down to .007s tomorrow to close the week out on a downer for those who prematurely thought the last run was the momo play created by final settlement news. They may in discouragement let go of their holdings not having the patience to wait for the real deal whenever that happens.
