“Why torture yourself?”
Seems to be bothering you way more than it is torturing him. What business is it of yours why he decides to stay or go? I’m pretty sure he already had his own mother to look after him. Nobody needs you to be their mother hen.
“Also, at play are the warrents that IDCC controls as a hedge against dilution, and in my opinion, there is not enough information available to really understand how they function.”
IDCC doesn’t control them, they sold them to somebody else. The 2024 and 2027 warrants are all currently in the money and as they are exercised they will cause dilution. The 2024 warrants have either already been exercised or are being exercised in daily tranches since the first of June. In 2016 they did it over a three month period after the convertible debt reached maturity.
Will be interesting to see the next short interest report to see if any of that volume was used to cover. could all be related to closing out some of the 2027 convertibles. It’s all just a guess for now.
Evidently the company does want anyone to know what their material looks like, either pure or as a composite. Dorton was hired and supposedly, according to the PR, only managed to come up with one composite that the company found acceptable. I doubt that Dorton has done any more work for the company since that PR was put out. Folks on here act like he’s still on the payroll. How are we supposed to assume that a pure DS material is even good for anything or even makes a decent material by itself? The company sure doesn’t seem to want to tell or show you.
Are ya lookin’ in a mirror? If not, ya ought to be.
Thanks. Worked,like a charm.
Hasn’t worked all day for me.
Well then what is it for then since you’re so smart?
Anybody have a clue what this new Effect Form is effecting?
“Kim very specifically addressed Cambodia as a way to increase and diversify its production base”
Yeah, and he also said GSS was capable of ramping up to 200 tonnes. How did that work out? The only thing Cambodian looks capable of helping KBLB with is in textile manufacturing. Trying to start a silkworm raising industry there with SpydaSilk doesn’t seem very logical to me. There doesn’t appear to be a lot of sericulture experience there. If they couldn’t make it work with GSS, I don’t know how they would make it work in Cambodia.
I don’t see Cambodia going into the spider silkworm raising business. They import nearly all their silk for textile manufacturing. I would assume that textile manufacturing is what the Chinese and KT are looking at and probably wouldn’t pose any risk to KBLB
“ ‘10x increase in PRODUCTION...not silk...”
With something that produces 200-500 offspring per generation and KBLB’s claims of ‘great demand’ that number should be incredibly disappointing to anyone with any sense.
Also, it doesn’t make any sense to tell a company capable of scaling to 200 tonnes a year to pack sand while at the same time you’re saying you’re looking to increase production by expanding into a country that produces less than 1 tonne of silk per year. I’m thinking that the GSS partners weren’t very happy with KBLB and told them to pack sand instead of the other way around. I’m sure they were looking to have produced a lot more silk and made more than the $100k they ended up with.
“They could have said, "During the trials we produced "Blank amount" of BAM-1 Silk, and we hope to increase that by 10X's during our first production cycle".”
According to them they didn’t produce any BAM1 silk during production trials. All they claimed to have trialed were the parent strains. So once again they put out a PR that makes no sense.
The remaining 2024 Notes mature tomorrow along with the associated calls expiring. Not sure about the warrants, but would expect that they will expire in daily tranches for the next three months like the 2016 warrants did. Currently the warrants are in the money(exercise price $109.43?). Share price has been following same pattern as 2016 when those Notes matured. I expect the share price to keep rising as the warrants expire and as any shorts associated with the 2024 Notes get covered. In the money warrants should cause some stock dilution. The notes and calls should cancel each other out after IDCC pays the principal back.
“In order to conserve Company resources, the CEO agreed to accrue a majority of his salary.”
Once again, Mojo isn’t wrong. You even managed to prove yourself wrong with the above statement. Try doing a little math with all those numbers you gave and you will see that not all of his salary for last quarter was accrued. Also, he receives quite a bit of other compensation outside of salary which has never been accrued. I’ll let you figure out what that is.
“SMH…it was literally the title of the last PR lol
BAM-1 is a platform.”
It ain’t the only platform that produces DS, making his statement and yours false.
“All DS is produced by the BAM-1 hybrid.”
That would be false.
I think the point is, is that they all produce the DS version of spider silk.
“The next generation of BAM-1 spider silk hybrids are now prepared for launch nearly a full month ahead of schedule.”
Am I the only one missing something here? How do you get to the next generation when you haven’t even raised the first one? All they have tested or trialed are the parent lines. No word was ever said of raising the actual BAM1 hybrid. How do you get a month ahead of schedule in one week when raising silkworms?
“Does anyone have a breakdown of where the revs came from?”
Evidently they collect other companies revenue and claim it for their own. I can’t believe nobody asked about the huge increase in expenses. $67 million dollar expense for revenue sharing? Doesn’t sound like sharing to me, sounds like the other company got nearly all the extra revenue. How come these big payouts never seem to fall straight to the bottom line?
“Anyone here know what formula they use to come up with that?”
Come on SaintC. Pony up the $300 and let us know what you find out. The ‘Holy Grail’ crowd doesn’t want to know the answer to that question. Just glancing at the website it looks like it could be a pretty good website for investing info.
“A few questions about this sentence. Why just one generation?”
I don’t know why they would produce eggs from the BAM1 strain. It’s a hybrid and won’t breed true. Do they mean cocoons or maybe one generation of the parent strains? Who knows? Another seemingly poorly worded statement in a KBLB PR. Who would expect anything less? I have been waiting for somebody else to question that to see if anybody else actually reads these PRs besides me.
I also don’t know why the would have somebody else raising the parent strains. Seems like something you would want to keep in house, although only producing them in one location isn’t very wise either.
Makes one wonder what the heck Prodigy has been doing all this time. What happened to GSS?
“His best advice would be to seek professional help. Not help from someone that could gain.”
I’m sure that advice worked well for Bernie Madoff’s clients. The professional is the only one guaranteed to gain from him. The best advice would be to educate himself. He knows how to use the internet so there’s tons of educational material available at his fingertips. Seeking advice from OTC penny stock traders probably isn’t the best place to start.
Hope he’s at least smart enough to have maxed out his Roth contributions if he’s planning on making that much profit.
I think it’s more likely that he invented immunity DS silkworms that consume waste plastic instead of mulberry leaves. Just think about how rich you’re going to be. Why partner with somebody when you can do it better by yourself? Somehow the Air Force is involved in all of this too but I haven’t figured out how yet.
“It is an indication of what is happening like it or not.”
It is an indication of what happened in the past. Anybody speaking of the past on this board will usually get lam-blasted by the rah rah crowd.
You say you come here to learn but all you do is insult any poster that tries to add any sensible input. All you’re really looking for here is support for your overly optimistic expectations and if you don’t get it then you just throw insults.
I’m not here expecting a big home run here like a lot of folks on this board. I’ve actually ran the numbers and looked at various scenarios that could make this company profitable. I’m not buying the snake oil ‘Holy Grail’ crap others continually spew here but it could be a decently profitable business if KT ever figures out what he’s doing.
Also, Bingo is just as bad as this board. Those old ladies don’t like it there when you know what you’re doing either.
“If clues were sand and we gave you a grain each time to educate you...the Sahara Desert would be out of sand in a year.”
A guys looking for clues and you give him poetry. Thanks for verifying that you don’t have a clue either. You could have done that by just not responding and saved us all some time.
“ Comparative Relative Strength analysis shows that this issue is outperforming the S&P 500. (My emphasis)”
And you think that I’m the one that’s clueless. It’s an AI generated blurb from Schwab and is pretty much useless unless you’re into useless after the fact stats.
“This is the part that really caught my eye. Of course, it leads directly into the link below to a PR from Kraig that was readily dismissed w/o much fanfare.”
I don’t know why you would think a competitive source of spider silk protein would get any fanfare on this message board. They are making spider silk using waste plastic. They’re not making plastic out of spider silk. I still haven’t got a clue why KT thought that was worth a PR other than to pat himself on the back saying “Look, we’re kinda in the same business as this other outfit.”
“I haven't checked but I'm certain you started this stuff.”
So in other words, you’re just spouting crap about stuff you don’t know anything about like usual.
Who said I was trying to fix you? I couldn’t care less about what you dish out. You’re the one that asked me a question and demanded an answer.
What mission would that be? Trying to have an intelligent conversation on this board without being insulted?
That’s funny. I got it from you.
At least I know that this board was created for discussing the company KBLB and not its posters. Just because you’re not smart enough to add any useful information doesn’t mean others aren’t. Sorry if that makes you feel so inferior that the only thing you can do is resort to character bashing or putting out useless ‘Go Team’ posts like a lot of the other rah rah posters.
So why would you bother asking me a question and expect an answer? Don’t you have enough shit of your own? You can come pump my septic tank if you want.
I get the same info from the company that you do. I decipher that info based on my own judgement and experience with the company. You can decipher it however you wish. Ben isn’t sending me any secret coded messages. Hope that helps you.
What are you assuming?
I am so funny. Ha ha. I bet you wish you were this comical.
I see you haven’t made it past 2nd grade if that’s all you can come up with.
I wasn’t implying they shipped cocoons over. The point was the small number of eggs/worms/cocoons/moths that were needed to produce the amount of cocoons shown in the racks. They could have shipped the eggs from one female over and produced those cocoons using her egg’s offspring. I expected they would have shipped far more eggs over than what they appear to have to start the trials and production with. Not using enough female lines is how you end up getting too inbred which is one of the problems they had with the previous DS worms.
As far as your other calculations, I would hope the goal is to raise far more than one ton of raw silk per batch. Why slowly ramp up when you can take a major step up? Can’t afford to pay KT’s salary with that tiny bit of production. Also, we don’t know if KT/GSS are referring to tons of silk cocoons or tons of raw silk when they speak of metric ton production. Takes about 8 tons of cocoons to produce a ton of raw silk.
Boy, ain’t you a genius.
