Matt, you're brilliant. Go on over to Caorlyn's Bar and tell her to puy a Pepsi and a dozen Krispy Kremes on my tab. I haven't been there for awhile (I've been pretty sick so I haven't been posting much) but I'm sure my credit is good. Might even pop in for an adult beverage myself this evening. SH
So Matt, as you know I have a vested interest in the SEVU board. Any ideas who the poster was? This isn't cute nor funny. If you don't want to post it here can PM me? Thanks, SH
Well ain't this fun? Seems like old times. Yes, Gotin, I saw that interview too. I was surprised myself that he said he read the boards.
Rich, I've caught another cold myself. I've got to get off these steroids. My immune system must be trashed. I, for one, totally understand your need to respond to the multiple accusations here and elsewhere. It must be really frustrating to know things and not be able to respond in detail. As I have posted before, I am invested in another company and I often joke about how the owner didn't create the product, HE GAVE BIRTH TO IT. It is very difficult for people in that situation to hand over the care for their "baby" and kudos go out to you for handing over the reins.
Print....what sort of saber do you use to cut mustard???? :) SH
So you're responsible for the pop. I wondered about the end of the day, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. SH
Jeesh, the front door just closed. MY BAD. Guess I'm gonna get yelled at for smoking in the bedroom. SH
Chas, what's up with the name calling? Are you mad because I got that COOL grub? SH
Thank you Carolyn. My son just called and said he's going to a movie so I opened a window and got out the Fabreeze. No need to leave for a while. SH
I'm so excited, I can hardly contain myself. I'm going for another smoke. I'm in my son's room and can't smoke here. That will end soon as he's leaving for his Junior Year in two weeks. Be right back. SH
Yippee!!!!!!! Did I finally get one? I didn't set it up, I swear to God. I just saw it sitting there and I couldn't resist. PLEASE don't break my heart, does it count???? SH
Hey, who's gonna get that grub :) SH
Yes, I've always been a "sandcrab". I love the water. I guess that makes sence since I'm a Pisces. SH
Hey, I just went out for a smoke. SH
Evening back at ya. I've been busy lately so not a lot of time to chat. But I'll be here for a little bit anyway. SH
Hi y'all. Not much hunting in St Petersburg, Fl but I do get to do my share of fishing. I agree that the fun is just being "out there". Even though I live in the city, I still find a lot of enjoyment in nature. It's so pretty, particularly when the sun is just setting or shortly after. The colores on the bay can be amazing. Reminds me of the sixties.
Speaking of legalizing marijuana, I think it should be legal for many reasons. Jeez the tax revenue alone would probably eliminate the need for the income tax and give the left all the money they need for all of their "special projects". My take on it being a "gateway drug" is that IF it is it is because the fact that it is illegal forces users to go to the "black market" to purchase it. Hence, once committing a crime it becomes easier to commit other crimes, ie, the purchasing of other illegal drugs. I've seen, what's that movie?....short term memory loss....oh yeah "Reefer Madness" and I'm here to tell ya, I've never known anyone that smoked pot go whack his/her mother upside the head with a cast iron frying pan. Even if they wanted to, they were too lethargic to bother :) SH
dk, LOL. SH
Shamus, wish I had read your post first before I responded to Cabos. I hate being redundant. SH
Cabos, the burden of proof is not as stringent in the Civil Courts as it is in the criminal courts. Even if Sevu and Rich are found liable in the Civil Case I don't think that will have any impact on the probation. Again I'm not an attorney but to be criminally responsible is a far cry from where these cases may be leading, IMO. You also have to consider "intent". I don't know that the evidence in even a civil case will be enough. We'll have to wait and see what they have. I've been seeing a lot of "candidate for arbitration" which may mean that this will never go to court. Wish I had a crystal ball. SH
Re: Rich voting his shares...I also felt that he was not going to vote his shares because of the CEO issue. Once he stepped down as CEO, it wasn't as much of an issue, IMO. Let's say he still stuck with not voting his shares, as per the info we got at the meeting and in the paperwork prior to the meeting ALL non votes would be counted as NEGATIVE votes. I don't have the exact figures on the total number of shares that were present at the meeting but I am pretty certain that if Rich had abstained then his shares would have overwhelmed the vote in a negative way leaving us with no board of directors and management. Now where would that have left us???? SH
Hate to drink and run but I've got a Bday party to go to. BTW the only thing that can't be cooked without salt in the water is pasta. Pasta is just not any good without it. SH
Don't feel guilty. I sent my son there and to Philadelphia and Ohio for auditions during his senior year. When he finally chose Ohio (Cleveland) I didn't go with him. He survived it just fine. He just finished his second year and I STILL haven't gone up there yet. I'll make it before he graduates. This is such and exciting, yet frightening time for these kids. There are plenty of them in the same boat and the school will keep them busy. BTW, my son and I get along SO much better now that he's out of the house. I find I miss him a lot when he's gone but when he comes home for the summer I'm ready for him to go after the first couple of weeks. <G> SH
Prem, you're welcome. I take it off heat as soon as comes to the boil. I don't seem to notice any difference in the texture after that no matter how long it stands in the hot water. The trick is to take it off heat immediately and the corn reatains its crunch. It's virtually foolproof. SH
P.S. How my spouse and I "do it" is too personal even for the Bar <g>
<OT> Seems to some speculation on "the other board" that I am MIA. I've been right here reading but haven't had anything to contribute so I am staying quiet. It's also the hot time for Redfish so I've been out on a mission on a regular basis. Sadly, I must confess that I've only been catching Catfish and small trout. Lost something big the other night because of an improperly tied hook. SPANK ME!!!!!!! Anyway, I thought that I'd put an end to any rumors before they get out of control, I'm still here. Also, you'll find me from time to time at Carolyn's Corner Bar ;) SH
Hey Prem, never cooked Sturgeon nor have I eaten it BUT the best method for corn on the cob is to put it in a pot of cold water, bring it to a boil and take it off heat. Comes out perfect every time. SH
<edit> Chas....this post is twenty posts after the post I am responding to, if you subtract 2055 from 2075 you get 2000. Is that a grub? <ggg> SH
Haven't seen the film the promo looks very cool. There is some speculation that this will be the wave of the future. No more live acting. I don't buy that but it's interesting to speculate. Let us know what you think of the film. SH
Yeah, unlike some others around here <g> SH
Carolyn, nice grub on 2002 :) SH
You dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SH
OK, I'm going out for a smoke, the suspense is killing me. SH
What's everyone doing, just sitting back waiting to pounce? SH
Since I missed out on 1776 I WANT 2001. SH
So are you looking for jokes or did I misunderstand something? And what are the parameters with respect to what is acceptable?? How naughty can they be??? SH
Yeah Carolyn, I agree. I think he wants all of us to buy his drinks. SH
There's a group of folks that deal with this very thing. Called The Committee For Popular Culture. There Web Address is FrontpageMag.com Cool stuff. David Horrowitz is the dierctor. He used to be a major radical in the 60's. Was the Editor for Ramparts Magazine (Black Panther Party) and taught language arts at Berkely. He's a fine author some of his more recent works include "Deconstructing the Left" and "Hating Whitey and Other Progressive Causes". Tavis Smiley interviewed him on BET and he asked David what his two balck granddaughters were going to think of him when they got a little older and read his book. David responded by saying that "I'm not going to send them to Harvard so I won't have to worry about it." <G> SH
It's in every guitarist's repertoire. SH
Congratuations BOP. Well done EVERYBODY. TOO FUNNY. Chas, I was rooting for you but don't tell anyone else) That was really clever haw BOP said he was going to bed and then just snuck right in there.
Chas that rearrange the word thing was something else. Gotta run for a while, Later. SH YIPPEE
I've really got to go folks. It's not fair keeping my son up when he's got an exam in the morning and I want to hang out in a bar. I don't care if I catch the grub, I just want someone to do it. Go 1776. See ya in the morning. SH
Take the free ride. In the end it doesn't really matter where you go as long as you finish. JMHO. SH
I,m getting real close to getting kicked out of here. Son is buried face down in his bed and being very patient. If I disappear, you'll know why. But keep up the postings. I have faith that you'll get it done. SH
Unfortunately not. Used to be a looker but age and children have taken their toll. SH
No, luckily it didn't even break the skin. SH
