I hope your right.
My concern is that cannabis is largely viewed as a Dem thing/idea and Mitch won’t budge on anything g with them due to the impeachment inquiry. I also know it does have some bipartisan support.
Perhaps if the election starts looking iffy they decide to flip in order to sway fence voters.
I just don’t have faith in the government to do the right thing here until the right fingers have dipped into the cookie jar.
I’m enjoying your viewpoints and dialogue, agree with your statements.
Just have a hard time seeing Mitch following through with anything except hemp.
Like I said- hope to be wrong.
Yea I get i Carl and I wasn’t trying to say one is better. Sorry if it came off the wrong way.
Just the yearly performance. And really they mirrored each other most of the year.
I guess that’s my concern...the sudden divergence. I have risk appetite and patience so I’m holding.
But yes, the entire sector is under enormous selling pressure and everyone is feeling the burn.
I realize that my timing was impeccable with my CW entry so that can skew an opinion.
Much like people who got in here in the pennies.
I hope for all our sakes brighter days are ahead.
Good luck to everyone..it’s Everyman for himself at this point lol.
I get annoyed sometimes but I would never wish I’ll will on anyone’s investments.
I’m with you and agree with your logic.
I just don’t believe he will bring it to the floor...in part because it would have a decent chance to oasss.
Hope I’m wrong!
Unfortunately I must concur.
Spin whatever narrative you wish.
I invested in CVSI and CWBHF on the same day in December.
My CW shares are still up nearly $4.00/share and my CVSI investment is down $2.00/share.
The whole sector is struggling- yes.
However, the market has completely bailed on CVSI.
The proof is in the share price.
I hope it turns around as I know a lot of people here have lost major money.
I’m riding a good amount of free shares but feel for those of you who are down.
Hoping the ship gets going soon.
I’m hoping your right.
Regardless, we’re getting there!
Personally, I don’t think the SAFE even makes it to the Senate floor.
Mitch will stonewall SAFE but force FDA’s hand on hemp guidance.
Hemp guidelines is all Mitch really wants to accomplish.
Now, if the election is looking iffy next year and it becomes a huge swing vote topic I could see them rushing to the floor.
JMO- I’m no political savant lol.
Either way it was a great first step.
As always lol!!
I think McConnell stonewalls the banking act.
However, he’ll push the FDA’s hand on hemp regulations.
Either way- today was the first step.
It’s been damn impressive.
The fact we’ve been red after that rapid fire of good news speaks volumes to the current state of the sector.
I wish the would’ve saved one of those substantial PR’s for after the House vote today!
Who knows...maybe they’ve got another one up their sleeve.
There’s a lot on the line with the House vote tomorrow.
It could stop the bleeding and produce a sector-wide bounce or it could accelerate the selloff.
I’ve got my popcorn ready.
Spot on TR. besides, there’s a complete sector bloodbath going on with the exception of a very few stocks.
This issue is not exclusive to CVSI.
Hell I'm in a company that PR’d today that they just gained access to the German market and 20k pharmacies and the stock was red today.
That news would’ve been good for a 10% gain at any other time...a profitable company too!
They did indeed. I remember. Ridiculed.
Holding long is fine.
However, there’s nothing wrong with cutting ties and taking your money elsewhere, either.
You might be down on those IGC shares for now but I remember you absolutely crushing the warrants when they ran from like $.04 to around $.16 in two days.
To each their own.
Thanks for stopping by... not enough free thinkers here.
Huge news!
20k outlets, expanding global footprint, even higher margins in Germany.
MEDIF’s ability to execute will make them a successful global player.
What they’ve done in this short amount of time is amazing.
I think you’re right.
I read an article the other day that said the cannabis market has about $5BILLION USD of short money all over the space.
Seems like they’re running roughshod over most cannabis stocks.
All that said- CVSI falling 12% today (and much more than that recently) while competitors post modest losses suggests perhaps this stock is being targeted again.
The ClayTrader guy...I knew when I saw him post today (or Friday?) it was bad news.
Seems like every company in the space I’ve had money in plummets when he shows up- without fail.
One stock I was in went up for a few sessions after and he kept saying ‘to its credit’ if it went up.
He posted everyday until it tumbled and disappeared.
Link didn’t work for me.
Agree. No matter your long term outlook it’s hard for me (personally) to envision the sp not popping before the end of the year given the scale of CBD market.
I’m not saying it’s a bad long term investment..that’s for each individual to decide themselves.
However, this, along with ELLXF seem like easy money at these levels.
Especially if the banking bills on the table were to even (just) pass the house an immediate pop would happen in the entire space.
I completely agree with everything you posted.
Long term investors should be upset if that happened.
But I don’t think it’s out of the question at this point.
All imho.
GL
Exactly.
revenue is here and will grow...but people have bailed.
However, I can’t see CVSI not popping again at some point.
Careful with that talk...the people who passed up 20 baggers on this stock will go ape sh!t on you for suggesting a buyout.
When the shareholder letter was released I said it was akin to putting a for sale sign on the company.
I’m in agreement with your assessment. The market has bailed on this company.
That said- I think at sub $2 or $2 I’ll scoop up a few.
I also own free long shares leftover from when I took my profits months ago.
GL
Boom! eom
Keep your head up Vhammer!
I fully expect a rebound. The question is how much lower can/will it go and how long before the sector starts to bounce...it’s coming.
I also think that investors are starting to put more value on companies turning profit or have a clear path to profitability. So, that would seem to favor shareholders here.
The pure plays have lost momentum over the summer (one still doing pretty well).
As far as gambling on one stock...well, personally I like some diversity in such a murky cannabis reg world.
But there’s a reason you picked CVSI.
If you still believe in the company then ride it out IMHO.
If you’ve lost faith then you already know what time it is.
Whatever you decide I wish you the best.
Painful. eom.
Good luck...she’s a keeper.
In since December...been a helluva year.
I’d be thrilled if MEDIF wanted to take over here.
They are absolutely crushing it in 2019. SP is struggling at the moment but the business is just fine.
If they added Halo and gained immediate US exposure it would be a seismic event in the extraction business altogether imo.
I haven’t heard anything about it..perhaps your just looking into the crystal ball. If so, hope your right!
Very nice news trickling out here lately.
Beverage deal followed by the Drug Mart deal.
Awesome guidance last week as well.
Niiice!!!
I totally agree. I have wondered about the viability of the ‘pharmaceutical’ division of the company since I put my first dollar in.
It sounds great and perhaps it was a viable option at one time. At present, IMHO they are better off focusing on scooping up market share before the likes of CGC and ACB come hunting for their own.
CVSI, CW and a few others have first mover advantage and should do everything in their power to solidify their business.
You’ve already got a brand recognition working here...just do your best with the thing you do best right now.
Of course there’s always room for innovation, new sku’s, whatever...but it’s a CPG arms race to a degree (again, imho).
Who knows...? Maybe one day the company has enough $ to go back down that road in the future.
I’m guessing yes.
Hey- not dilution!!!
Yeah after stewing on it a bit I think I’m with you about them being a more likely target.
Thanks Wolf and no hard feelings.
I want this company to do well...just like everyone else here.
Wow yeah it’d probably be awesome for you.
More and more coverage has been sounding positive for ACB.
Their Q wasn’t bad but they shot themselves in the foot with the bloated guidance. If they can get US footprint and finally get profitable you’ll be handsomely rewarded imo.
Whatever happens- I truly wish you good fortune in your investments.
I don’t know why you take everything as a personal affront with this stock.
Like most people- I own shares in multiple companies.
IMHO- ACB doesn’t have the resources to buy CW...which is why I suggested CV and ELLX (maybe VFRM).
It’s just a simple discussion based on recent events and comments from one of the biggest cannabis companies in the world.
It’s extremely relevant to the every US CBD co right now.
This could turn into a huge shakeup in the industry and I’m looking forward to seeing it play out no matter who they buy.
Good day sir.
Thanks for the response.
Ive never been a huge fan of ACB myself but an acquisition of a profitable US player would do wonders for them.
I’m in agreement with your terms prospective.
Yeah. With the recent track record I’m feeling dilution coming...unfortunately.
Perhaps this is one reason why ACB just divested from TGOD.
My money is on CVSI or ELLXF to get taken out.
I’m in both so either way I’ll turn a profit in that scenario.
I wonder what terms would be....
Picked up 1000 shares @$1.50 Monday and Tuesday.
First time I got in here I believe I paid $2.60...and I thought that was decent.
Partial fills over and over on low volume but glad I got at least a small position at such a steal.
Yea I’m definitely holding a good amount of shares long.
After the guidance and rally yesterday I was super stoked to see the beverage PR. I figured the rally would continue and it’d be a good day to swing some shares...but didn’t happen.
Oh well.
Still great news. A 5 year beverage deal that can be scaled up as needed- hell yes.
I can’t believe we’ve been red today after the beverage PR.
Super quiet on the Valens front lately.
Hoping for some positive announcements soon!
Steady she goes.
Nice performance today...most of my cannabis portfolio was red.
