#1 most viewed/listened to podcaster in the world, Joe Rogan chatted Cbd and hemp regulation today with potential Vp candidate Tulsi Gabbard. Hemp talk 5mins-25mins of the link below.
The world population should really welcome more headlines and studies surrounding alcohol and Cbd.

Never mind, states shelf stable, so no cold chain needed.
Site is live: https://www.lunarfoxfoods.com/
Wonder if these products are dry store or need to remain in cold chain. If these are cold chain distribution cost will destroy what looks to be already low margin.
Lots of distributors to supply Kroger.com products versus actual Kroger physical stores. Cvsi could be considered a distributor for Kroger.com and use a 3party fulfillment company to build the brand online. Mostly all natural products for all Kroger physical store banners currently flow through(are distributed by) Kehe and dpi.

To note, dpi and Kehe have explored and are prepared for the addition of Cbd to food products, but they are going to follow federal rulings.

Packaging looks good, but the segment has taken a huge hit lately in the states. I.e. Beyond meat. If they can work with their old BOD whom was a Sprouts exec and gets these products rolling in Sprouts outlets they would triple-quadruple their quarterly revenue. Margins are still razor thin when importing food products. I don’t see CVSI current infrastructure being able to handle a major surge in volume.
There is a difference between Director of sales, director of operations and director of sales/operations.
Director of sales operations ensures that systems are in place for the Sales team to hit their goals.
Additionally they don’t need a director of operations for a 2000 sq operation that drop ships most their product.
I think it’s fine they are running a nimble team.
Don’t come at me with your rebuttals like you’ve been right. I was pointing out the fact their Director of SALES moved on. Get over yourself.
Looks like Director of Sales, Alex is officially out at CvSI(as of today)and has moved on to Ocean Blue Omega. Dowling might be the entire sales staff! Survival mode.
Another interesting find is I heard CBDMD being advertised on Joe Rohan’s Sunday episode with Jim Gaffigan. How can they justify affording to advertise on Rogan again?
Or maybe just sell/license Phillip Morris the 007 patent.
Agreed. Stay in business and wait. Next big catalyst looks like farm bill.
Thanks sleuth. 642 k (retail dollar scans) amongst 220 stores is only $182 a week per store over 16weeks. Fine # if one sku but concerning if 4 skus. Gotta get regulation to break into mainstream grocery with ingestibles, otherwise stagnation. A new gummy innovation would be welcoming right about now.
Long term believers with a high average sp sell for a loss in December and buy back in after 30 days for tax purposes and to average down. That’s where the January volume is coming from.
Cantine trademark extension for statement of use is officially done. Joe had 6 chances for extension and the 6th expired yesterday. 007 is still in play but please refrain from the “cantine merger” hopes and prayers. Just like “new harvest”, lost opportunity.
My bet is Joe is out on a 6 week international vacation until the new year and the Cantine expiration just went unnoticed.
If you consider a 3pL/fulfillment service a strategic partnership you're living in 2002.
Just to confirm you’re inferring, Cv’s strategy is survival mode(1.1 million left in cash) while waiting for the chance the government regulates (dec 2023 farm bill)?
No pursuing new markets, no new products in the pipeline, no partnerships, no updates on 007, just all or nothing burger on the 2023 Farm Bill.
Segment down again yet they all keep moving the time line.
“Cannabidiol (CBD) Market is estimated to be US$ 17.39 billion by 2030 with a CAGR of 19.8% during the forecast period“
AND the Cwebs top competitor, CVSI, managed to not capture any of their 28.1% in lost revenue/marketshare.
Dismal for both.
Video conference including Joe Dowling performing live from the back 9 of Morgan Run!
So Dowlings salary is now 19% of their annual gross margin.
Can’t imagine he’s in the office much, looking his team in their eyes. Likely at the golf course most days. It’s not an overly complex business to sell 10 skus to the same few thousand retailers. Just a quick 15min check in with Joerg on the past dues and off to tees.
Lesson here, negotiate your terms. Golden parachutes make for soft leaders, but if you’re willing to handle the embarrassment and hide at the course go for it.
With you Fangster. Dowling salary is a over a million, he hasn’t put a deal together, lied about a c-store deal, no real guidance, and is lurking silently in the shadows.
Hey dowling try to sell Floblend the 007 patent for $20million or send them a c&d immediately.
Nice find as always sleuth, thank you. Statement of use(in commerce) is due by Nov 16th or they lose the mark. Does not mean they couldn’t change the intended brand name, but they likely were working towards this scheduled deadline and have a business plan ready for the Cantine mark.
Does a parachute have value without a plane to fall out of?
Still waiting around as well. Plenty of patience at this point.
"The therapeutic properties of cannabis caused by the effects of both the tetrahydrocannabinol-alpha (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) components make it an excellent alternative to highly addictive opiates for pain relief."

Vhammer: All rides on a big retail deal, patent partner or acquisition. Stranger things have happened.
100% agree with you that they don't need this role, at this point in time. Trimming the fat to get it profitable, but fact remains Dowling doesnt deserve +$1million a year at this point.
I often wonder what their internal company calls are like these days.
Looks like they recently eliminated the VP of Marketing position , Montey Dunn is no longer with them via linkedin. Looks like he was there about 3 years, 3 tough years...
5th and final trademark extension for Cantine was filed.
https://tsdr.uspto.gov/documentviewer?caseId=sn87241834&docId=ESU20220513192255#docIndex=0&page=2
They have 1 month and 1 additional extension, so 7 months, to file the Statement of use on the Cantine trademark. They can always file under a new trademark, but I doubt the want to.
Ab45 in Cali ruling due by July 8th.
Reverse split won’t uplist us. There’s available capital to borrow elsewhere, everywhere if you have the right intentions with the borrowed funds.
Survival mode but I like they are under the pressure. A leading brand in the category who’s ceo is on his last hooray. Cut a deal for sale or partnership already, your legacy depends on it dowling.
If an acquiring parties terms were elimination of Dowling and Grassers options could the BOD vote/force them to forfeit their options?
Pennsylvania has some of the wonkiest alcohol laws. All to-go wine and spirits must be sold through state owned liquor stores(control state).
Consumers will just buy CBD online.
Dean14, pretty confident the big supermarket chains with California locations are awaiting the final verbiage before putting ingestibles on their shelves. GNC stores got out in front of ingestibles, with some risk, but the brands they carry are leaders in safety standards.
California AB45 verbiage is due to the governors office within the next 105 days.
“This bill would require a manufacturer of dietary supplements and food that includes industrial hemp to register with the State Department of Public Health and to be able to demonstrate that all parts of the plant used come from a state or country that has an established and approved industrial hemp program, as defined, that inspects or regulates hemp under a food safety program or equivalent criteria to ensure safety for human or animal consumption and that the industrial hemp cultivator or grower is in good standing and compliance with the governing laws of the state or country of origin.
This bill would state that a dietary supplement, food, beverage, cosmetic, or pet food is not adulterated by the inclusion of industrial hemp or cannabinoids, extracts, or derivatives from industrial hemp if those substances meet specified requirements, and would prohibit restrictions on the sale of dietary supplements, food, beverages, cosmetics, or pet food that include industrial hemp or cannabinoids, extracts, or derivatives from industrial hemp based solely on the inclusion of those substances.”
“This bill would require the Department of Cannabis Control to prepare a report to the Governor and the Legislature outlining the steps necessary for the incorporation of hemp products into the cannabis supply chain, as specified. The bill would also require the Department of Food and Agriculture and the State Department of Public Health, in consultation with the Department of Cannabis Control, if necessary, to develop a process to share license, registration, cultivar, and enforcement information to facilitate compliance and enforcement against unlicensed manufacturers or the sale of hemp that does not meet specified requirements. The bill would make communications shared between these agencies and local law enforcement for this purpose exempt from the California Public Records Act.“
Nah J. YCBD is trash. Look at the financials reports compared to CVSI. , their marketing/spend and their books were all out of whack. I dug into their business, including false trademark claims and lawsuits a year ago and mentioned on this board they were destined to depreciate. I took a substantial short position and held it for about a dollar drop to around $3.70. While I made money I wish I still had that position.
SpaceLady any additional info or link on this would be greatly appreciated as many of us took big hits due to Citron.
