I haven't looked further into their historical and present share structure. Anyone else look into this?
My questions would be what the preferred stock voting power, dividend, and conversion to common stock look like?
Aside from this, it does look cheap. GLTA. Do your DD.
From Reuters (May '07)...
Alpine Air Express Inc. Amends 2006 10KSB and 2007 10QSB
Friday, 25 May 2007 09:00am EDT
Alpine Air Express Inc. announced that it has elected to amend its most recent 10QSB Quarterly and the 2006 10KSB Annual Reports. Upon current review of accounting standards and interpretations, management has determined to change its accounting treatment of the preferred stock issued by its subsidiary. The preferred stock which has previously been disclosed as part of stockholders' equity is now reclassified outside of equity as a mezzanine item on the balance sheet. Further, the dividends on preferred stock which previously were deducted from Net Income to arrive at Income Available to common stockholders, has been reclassified as an expense to arrive at Net Income. The Company's classification change for its preferred stock also requires a slight adjustment in the treatment of the preferred stock dividends, which will reduce Alpine's reported Net Income. However, although the classification change reduced the Company's reported quarterly and annual net income, their previously reported positions on cash, total assets, earnings per share, and EBITDA remain unchanged.
I couldn't agree with you more. Well said.
Everyone, especially the newbies, be very careful, don't get caught up in the hoopla that you see on this or any other forum/board. Do your own DD, ask a friend/family member to examine the fundamentals/technicals if needed, then make a call.
Be willing to invest only what you are willing to part with.
I do think ANX has the possibilty of a bright future, but it is a gamble, especially in the biotech world and with no revenue a negative piece of news or rejection would send this company into the gutter.
You never know! GLTA. As always, do your DD!
Carl Icahn is an intelligent man, no doubt. On this investment, his luck has been less than stellar, with his average PPS at about $1.85, that too was when he bought in 2005. He has not bought any more ANX and has even pulled his BOD representative from the company. Make no mistake about it, Carl Icahn is not wasting his time at present on ANX, he has bigger fish to fry.
IMO, ANX has great long-term potential, but with FDA NDA's you never know. Reformulations of approved products are easier and less expensive to get through the FDA regulatory process. That being said, sales have to go well, and that is tough for a company of ANX's size and current capabilities to do, it takes months to years to put together competent marketing and sales teams. Partnering with a larger pharma company would be the route to quickest benefit.
FYI, I am an MD and I am in the biopharma industry...so I know a little bit of the process.
Also, I will be accumulating at lower levels...GLTA!
Do your DD.
Still in for the long haul...planning on adding to my position down here.
GLTA...do your DD!
Still in for the long haul.
GLTA!
I'm not watching day-to-day. Haven't been even when it was .17. But still holding long. Also down quite a bit. But we'll see the light IMO.
All the best.
Best to you and your family EZ!
Wow...everybody take a deep breath, sit back, relax a bit.
When we bought into WNRC we new this would not be short-term. Patience will reward those have it.
Take a day off, get out, spend time with family and friends. Refresh your perspective and come back, we'll still be here.
JMHO.
GLTA.
nice work SC, but it will come around on its own. Definitely comforting though.
GLTA.
Agreed...volume sux today. Well, tomorrow is a new day. Personally, I'm not watching minute-to-minute, this is a long/swing trade after all...results will be seen over days/months and even years.
GLTA. Do your DD.
Still holding long and strong. Will see $.50 short term, especially with contracts in the works, longer-term $1-$2 and higher down the line.
JMO, do your DD and see where we are headed.
GLTA!
Ouch...go away for a bit and...whew.
My guess is it was a nervous investor dumping there position. Probably someone who posts in this forum in fact.
Anyways, this is a huge buying opp. IMO, when non-daytraders see this there should be some buys in for tomorrow. JMHO
GLTA
IMO it's just a bit of a storm before we see some real movement.
I wouldn't panic, what's needed is a strong stomach. I hate seeing a declining PPS as much as the next guy, but that's part of the game. Rarely does anything go straight up.
This is JMHO, do your DD, look at the chart, and hope for news!
GLTY
All quiet on the WENR front...lol.
Looks like the chart is getting primed for some positive movement. Should be just a few days at most, maybe much sooner with news.
GLTA and do your DD.
All 47,500 of selling pressure? Ouch...lol.
Mkt...you gotta be kidding me.
The suspense is killing me. I just can't keep my eyes on the screen.
Mid-day news would be nice.;)
For a bit it showed: .16 x 1.00
then: .16 x .27
then: .05 x .16
now: .15 x .165
Very strange. GLTA
I didn't notice the iBox until NYC brought this up, but, I'm also wondering why you guys aren't mods anymore?
GLTA
I a have to agree with the original poster who mentioned the iBox needs updating, nothing fancy, just pertinent up-to-date info.
Came across a backgrounder for Dan Green.
Dan Green has been President of WENR Corp. since June 1993 and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Green restructured WENR, eliminated debt without increasing shares outstanding, attracted new sources of capital, and assembled a quality management team. He was also responsible for the continued development of the catalyst reclamation project by engaging a major engineering concern and securing agreements with various companies to form ... a joint venture whereby WENR would begin operations. In this position, he negotiated with major oil refiners and investment bankers. He served as an Interim Chief Executive Officer of a troubled manufacturing company, he led the company into and out of bankruptcy, dealing fairly and effectively with all creditors and bondholders. Mr. Green serves as Director of WENR Corp. Mr. Green has been a Director of Western Energy since 1988 and was chiefly responsible for dramatically increasing production from its operating gas wells in Utah. Mr. Green holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado School of Mines.
Very promising developments. AirSur really sticking to tight timelines and considerable progress has been made in under 3 months.
Recent progress is very encouraging, but the contracts around the corner are what keep me peaked.
I've been around the block in the markets, this one's a winner IMO.
GLTA. Do your DD.
Back in WNRC, don't want to miss the run. Should see some positive developments over the next days and weeks.
GLTA. Do your DD.
I hope we don't get an LOI, but a real contract. LOI's are way over used in pennyland, and actually don't mean what abinding contract does.
GLTA, do your DD,
That's Etrade for you. L2 ask is @.155 x 2.
GLTA
Good to have some consolidation past few days. Should see a leg up in the near future.
GLTA
Looking good today, could use some volume otherwise we could lose momentum and and see a retrace.
GLTA and do your DD. Thanks EZ!
WNRC looking really good over the last few days. Volume growing, not to mention PPS ;)
Looks like some profit taking, that's to be expected.
GLTA and do your DD.
Thanks for keeping on top of that.
Looking good so far, volume going up.
GLTA
Regardless, how many kids do you know who would type 'Parental' in a search. The pop-up porn is ironic though...LMAO.
GLTA
lol...I was thinking the same thing!
L2 anyone? Anyway to get L2 in IBox with auto-updating? Just a thought.
GLTA!
Nice...though I wanted to get more cheapies in the .06-.08 range. GLTA
A decent close IMO.
L2 at close just 1 MM on bid/ask?
thx, GLTA
Looks like some good upward movement over the past few hours. Any news and we could see steady upward momentum IMO.
L2 anyone?
GLTA and do your DD.
Are there some spammers here who have an interest in Google's competitors or a short position in GOOG itself?
volume today is a definite plus.
Let's hope we're legging up. Anyone have L2?
Do the DD, GLTA!
I'm in for 50k at .04 today, keeping fingers crossed. Financials and retrace say this is ready to bounce hard IMO.
GLTA, do your DD!
Just what I'm waiting for, maybe a PR would help it.
GLTA
The acquisition of both of the new companies makes SEIH a huge takeover candidate IMO, maybe not short term, but medium term for sure. The assets in China that are already operational give this company a superb edge that others do not have, for that reason alone, besides others, I see good things ahead for SEIH.
Just IMO, please do your DD, and GLTA!
You are correct, only after the July shareholders meeting will he own many, many more in Class C Preferred shares, but I think that before he could sell any of those he would have to make a repot to the SEC, if I'm wrong about that please someone elaborate.
This company, with it's acquisitions is ready to run, today was just a start IMO. Please all, do your DD and good luck.
I may be buying into more tomorrow, we'll see, and I'll keep you all up to date. We've got a great thing here, and chart wise, it's looking very good, both short and lon-term. As long as I know, when it runs, it runs for 3-4 days, though hopefully this in the last run upto a desirable value for this company.
GLTA!
Dilution has not occcured at this point, after the shareholders meeting in July it is likely, though it is needed to fund and develop their new operations. They have acquired 2 companies and are ramping up operations worldwide, and future balance sheets may justify dilution without negatively affecting PPS.
As of now the A/S and O/S is unchanged, I'm wondering why this board has so many bashers. I'm guessing some have ulterior motives.
This company, though small, is progressing, with recent acquistions, a decent business model, with operations and assets in the largest, fastest growing country in the world their is no reason for anybody to doubt this company. You do realize the CEO is a shareholder as well, with many more shares than any one of us hold, at least to the best of my knowledge.
S3 is just getting started to run, it's PPS is just off the bottom, now it's gaining some wings, and though I won't estimate any PPS targets, I feel there are many good things to come.
Do your DD, don't listen to bashers, and GLTA!
