I'd exit at 7 or 8¢ a share if the volume is there. Not getting my hopes up, though. Been hearing "dollar-land" for years now, and 6 or 7¢ is like a brick wall. Been hanging in the 3 to 4¢ range for years. Many reasons for that, but regardless, it's been far too long without positive price movement. Patience is a virtue I guess. GLTUA
Sure hope ALRT makes their planned Q3 shipment of their 2nd Gen GluCurve, it's successful, and we get some positive PR's and exposure. The share price on this is abysmal and stuck in neutral for way too long. GLTUA
johnglenn - not sure why my comments would bother anyone. In roughly 6 years holding this, I certainly get a little frustrated with the progress made. But, I don't malign Chan, the company, nor it's executive staff - as some have done over the years that are no longer.
I just don't get all pumped up with fantasy predictions about "dollar land" coming any day now, or the rest of the usual hype I've seen. This was a speculative investment in a company and penny stock that appeared to have a good product well before GluCurve and animal A1C monitoring came about. Just hoping it wouldn't take 10 years to come to fruition. Still hoping! GLTU.
johnglennn, no. Still holding. And that's 250K shares, not 280K.
... for the last 6 years! LOL
Good. Because this has been dead money for years now.
Interesting. I guess we'll what gets developed.
Right. But TD is no longer. Got bought out by Schwab.
If you're talking about OTCmarkets_dot_com, yeah. Been there but it is 15 min delayed. With the old TD Ameritrade, you used to be able to see buy/sell order being filled in real time, plus indeividual MM's bid/ask prices and lot sizes. Then, for some reason TD stopped providing that feature. Now, I don't even see Level II on Schwab. You can click on the stock of interest and see Bid/Ask price and qty, but not by MM and certainly not real time transactions.
Anyway, I'm not real another slow day in ALRTF trades. 117 shares so far today. Jeesh.
GLTU
Yeah. I see that. I also had TD Ameritrade as my brokerage and now am with Schwab, but I didn't know they fooked us on trades with tickers ending in an "F". I'll keep that in mind. Yes. They are Rat Bastards. And to be honest, I don't like their platform as much. BTW, where do you see Level II on Schwab?
Might want to cancel that order and put an order in for 03. GLTU!
I sure hope so.
At $0.04/hare and 50K shares trade volume, I should say not. GLTU
After 6 years with ALRT, I'm feeling like a bag holder.
Sure hope so, because I've been watching this thing move sideways for almost 7 years now. Hopefully something breaks soon. GLTUA
Well said.
LOL. Sell what? 10K shares at a time, 25 times, driving the share price down losing more and more money, or put a 1/4 million shares out there with an asking price of 2¢ to dump it and still lose a boat load of money?
No, my friend. I'm stuck being a bag holder like you and the rest of us - meanwhile keeping my fingers crossed that some day, the share price and trade volume will increase to a point where I can get out without losing my shirt! GLTUA
035 now. Below my entry point. No volume. Been over 6 years. Should I be bullish?
0375 now, on 10K shares traded.
Absolutely no interest in this stock. Put a bid in for 10K shares at .035 with the Ask at 04.. Massive volume today at 700 shares. Let's see if if the order fills and if someone wants to dump a few..
For crying out loud! This ticker is anemic!
Having been a manufacturer for years and going through a number of recalls, I can say from my and my company's perspective that recalls are never good. That's not to say that finding and correcting the defect(s) isn't good, but the fact that the company put out a defective (and sometimes potentially unsafe) product is not good - for the consumer or the company. It's something that responsible companies strive not to do.
Having said that, it's better to find those defects sooner than later to maintain marketplace confidence in the product and company. GLTUA
While I don't see ALRT's announcement as "bad", I do find it disappointing. There's a big difference between periodic upgrades of models, like the iPhone, and recalling the product because of defects. Obviously, products develop over time. But recalling a product is never good.
Back down to 4¢. So much for the 'good news'. Maybe 2024 is our year GLTUA
Do you or anyone know if Covetrus highlighted GluCurve at the January 2023 VMX Conference and Expo in Orlando?
Well, that's not good news.
Pretty much as I feared. I'll be taking the pooch to the Vet soon, and will ask her if she knows about GluCurve. My guess is that she doesn't know much if anything.
That begs the question as to what ALRT and Covetrus are planning along the lines of advertisement, product education, attending and presenting at veterinarian trade shows, etc. I'm sure they're addressing this. Just curious as to their plans.
Think you are correct. I read this as conditions to uplist to the NYSE:
"To list on the NYSE, a company needs to have at least 400 shareholders and 1.1 million shares outstanding. Its share price must be a minimum of $4.00, and the market value of its publicly held shares must be at least $40 million—or $100 million for transfers and certain other listings.
In addition, the company must be profitable, earning at least $10 million over the past three years. Alternatively, a company may maintain a global market capitalization of at least $200 million. REITs require shareholders’ equity of $60 million."
Not there yet.
Man. There's just no interest in this company, on the OTC at least. Trade volume is anemic. Like many, I thought the partnership with Covetrus with GluCurve would rocket this stock. If uplisting with an R/S is what is needed, even in part to gain some interest, then let's get it done Mr. Chan. Another year of sideways movement is more than a little frustrating. GLTUA
At a 4.1¢ share price, hard to get real excited with ALRTF at this point. Looks like another year (or more) of waiting - after 6+ years so far!
GLTUA.
Great point. Acquisition of ALRT (pet and/or human side) is always open.
Hearing very little in regard to their human CGM initiatives, lately. Somewhat understandable with the introduction of the GluCurve pet CGM. I certainly haven't given up on them, but yeah.... my expectations for significant share price growth have fallen off substantially.
Hoping, along with you and the rest of us investors, that the lonnnnnnnng wait will be worthwhile.
GLTUA
LOL! I haven't had the "ALRT is going to make us rich" discussion with the wife for some time. She heard that with ABWN. Like you, looking for an exit but we need some volume. ALRT may be the first Pet CGM on the market, but you can bet they won't be the only one for long if it's a market worth pursuing.
I'm not writing them off just yet, being that they are now in the commercialization phase and starting to generate some revenue. But if an exit point comes along, I'll definitely look at it.
GLTU!
Hope it all works out for you (me, and everyone else)! I've been holding steady on 250K shares of ALRT for years and haven't added nor sold. After the burn I took on ABWN and their toxic dilution (lost $10K), I made it a point not to add any more shares on ALRT irrespective of PPS and PR's. If we saw some momentum on share price moving up, I may feel differently and start adding again.
At least ALRT now has product, and a partner in Covetrus, so losing my $10K investment now seems remote. But like most who have been with them for a long time, I want to see this come off of 'dead money' status and become a win! We need some volume activity, would like to see them take on Dexcom with their human CGM... and, of course, we need some encouraging PR's. GLTU!
Less than $500 worth of volume traded again today on ALRTF. Am I the only guy here that's frustrated? Been with this company since 2017, which I realize there are folks here that have been with ALRT for a lot longer than that. But man. Finally get a product on the market and no movement of their stock. Somebody breathe some life into this ticker!
GLTUA
Don't we all. I don't even want to think about this stock going sideways for another 6 years or more.
That is good news Rdizz. ALRT needs to get their human CGM off dead-center and join the Big Boy party. We'd like to see their name mentioned the same articles as DexCom and FreeStyle Libre for companies offering CGM systems for humans.
That's the better concern to have.
FTA: "Under the terms of the agreement, Covetrus has exclusive rights to sell the GluCurve Pet CGM as a co-branded product to veterinary clinics throughout the United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the European Union and other countries."
I trust that this exclusivity is performance based, because if Covetrus doesn't market the h3ll out of the product, ALRT is going to need some new partners.
Your numbers appear solid. I calculate an average per veterinary clinic (U.S., only) of 9.7 cats and 5.1 dogs with diabetes given the estimates of 1/500 dogs and 1/200 cats have diabetes - or roughly an average of 15 pets per clinic in the US that have diabetes. These numbers pertain to households that own pets and not strays.
Assuming that roughly 1/2 of these will actually be treated for diabetes, that cuts the number in half from 15 to 7 or 8 pets average, per clinic, that will receive treatment. Of course, this is the US only and not the world. Also, there are a number of other pets that are not cats or dogs that people own that may be eligible for GluCurve treatment.
Sounds like Google play store is the only place showing app downloads. Thanks Rdizz.
Thanks Rdizz. I downloaded the app but haven't signed up, which I imagine is the reason I don't see the "about the app" or developer info buttons.
