So you gave his initiative of creating polymer modulators in foundries less than a year before calling for his head?
Reminds me of the punchline of an old joke “patience jackass patience”.
New high @140.60!
Pretty wild, 20 times the outstanding shares traded today.
3.4 million shares o/s, 55 million traded so far.
There’s $4.50
I had to see what Marco was responding to and it’s good old Dan.
I see nothing Marco said that is not true. I don’t see how anyone, particularly someone who is long would take issue with his post. Of course I don’t know if you are still long or not because I have you on ignore. I read all of Marco’s posts as he is insightful and has a good idea what is going on. I know he went to the trouble of attending the ASM so he could see and hear for himself.
How do you know that he did not believe they were close to signing agreements in December? It takes two parties to reach an agreement. Is it possible Dr. Lebby’s explanation is true? How do you know they are not right around the corner now?
Maybe some of the disgruntled longs who believed Lightwave should have been producing and selling their EOP modulators within a year of announcing they were developing PDK’S to produce modulators in foundry’s will read this article and finally understand it takes a long TIME to do it.
Only 4 months left for what? If you have only 4 months to live, I am sorry, and your time would be better spent doing something other than posting here.
Dr. Michael Lebby moderated a panel at the OFC in March of many CEO’s of top optical/photonic companies. He said there was agreement among all of them that AI is NOT a bubble, it is here to stay and will be a big driver for them.
Your anxiety has muddled your brain, or you are just a short in long clothing spreading FUD. Dr. Lebby was very clear, they are working with other foundries. AMF demanded Lightwave jointly issue a press release, the other foundries have not.
I always thought you were a shareholder, but maybe not, as you must have missed the annual shareholder meeting.
At that meeting after talking a little about AMF, he said very clearly that it is NOT the only foundry Lightwave is working with.
Have you considered Apple went up so much it became too high a percentage of Berkshire’s portfolio. Investment advisors tell their clients they need diversity. Too many eggs in one basket maybe?
The Vanguard total market index ETF holds Lightwave but not Poet, how can this be?
They call it a passively MANAGED index, notice the word managed. It is managed in that the fund invests by sampling the index, meaning that it holds a broadly diversified collection of securities that in the aggregate approximates the full index in terms of key characteristics. They go on to extol the ability of the Vanguard Equity index groups experience and their proprietary software in making investment decisions. Anyone saying they passively blindly buy stocks because they are in the Nasdaq is wrong. They do make investment decisions.
This is only a description of the total market index. Anyone interested can google it and read the whole description.
I think he was referring to photons vs electrons.
Dr. Lebby said at the ASM that Lightwave does not disclose who they are working with or where they are in negotiations. He admitted to being overly conservative on that topic. He said they only disclosed AMF because AMF insisted on it.
If you thought Dr. Lebby was going to go into any detail on where they are with potential customers it shows your ignorance. You claim to be a long time shareholder that does not trust management or believe the company has any possibility of success, that is way past ignorant and all the way to stupid. If you believe what you post, you would do a UK sell.
$140, flying today!
The share price is a function of supply and demand.
Fair market value is the price arrived at between a willing buyer and a willing seller when both have a reasonable knowledge of the relevant facts.
I don’t believe anyone without insider knowledge knows the relevant facts as to where Lightwave stands with transceiver companys, datacenters etc. etc. in their testing, evaluation and licensing and sales discussions. All of this is certainly done under NDA. How would you know they are not working with the Tier 1’s? You apparently did not attend the ASM, or look at the presentation. They list 7 types of tier 1’s they had visitors from out of 25 visits. If you think these companies are not interested in faster, smaller, with way less power use, your analytic ability sucks.
You apparently think entry level classes make you know enough. Share price 101, you are funny, almost clown like.
Bye
You must have missed it, the company says they are talking to multiple tier 1’s, 2’s and 3’s. The stock price only reflects the stock price, it does not tell you where they are with the technology or with potential customers. The customers are going to take the time they need to thoroughly test the prototypes. If the tests are satisfactory and the customers buy Lightwave’s modulators and license Perkinamine the share price will reflect that.
I don’t know how I missed putting you on my growing short ignore list.
I can hear the shorts squealing.
$135 oreno!
Add an oreno at $134 too!
I agree!
He doesn’t realize no company developing a new technology had revenue until they did.
Mr. Marcelli is the COO.
….and he has a Master of Business administration. Thesis: Small business planing for a startup.
Some here want him replaced as CEO, I strongly disagree with them.
If you don’t know by now, you really are not paying attention to their product development. Pretty lazy to base your judgement on the share price alone.
You make perfect sense!
I am thankful for the ignore feature. My phone might say there are 40 posts, and I see 8. I sometimes read an ignored post when I read the responses from posters I believe provide good information. I am glad they are here to counter the garbage, so I can ignore it.
Some fun with numbers. Understand that the information behind the numbers comes from Googles searches.
Since the end of 2023, when there were 992 data centers considered hyperscale, there are now well over 1,000. To be considered hyper scale, the data center must have a MINIMUM of 5,000 servers. Each server has 32 transceivers. Each transceiver has a minimum of 4 modulators (my understanding). Multiply this out and you get 640 million modulators. That is only the hyper scalers. I have read there are 15,000 data centers worldwide of various sizes.
I hope Lightwave is lining up a lot of foundries.
Newbies really need to know you are here to talk down Lightwave many times a day on behalf of the short sellers.
Anyone who has read this board for any length of time knows this, and most like me have you on ignore.
Keep it going!
Thanks Marco, this appears to fit what has happened with Lightwave exactly. Anyone paying close attention to what Lightwave has accomplished knows the current stock price does not make sense. The company has the best product in so many ways, and they have the means of mass production without an outlay of capital. It is only a matter of time before we see significant revenue. We all want it to be faster, but the process from development to customers testing and accepting Lightwave’s modulators takes time.
It appears it is that time the shorts and their paid bashers use to manipulate the share price. I can’t tell who all are bashing for profit and who are really longs that are just clueless as to how long this process takes. After reading your post, I start to think some of those continual complainers are really just part of the attempted manipulation.
I have all those I can identify as all negative all the time on ignore. The only effect the manipulation seems to have on me is I keep adding shares at what I believe is a very low price.
I put this poster and many other relentlessly negative posters on ignore long ago.
Thanks for continuing to refute their continuing attacks on the company. I was at the ASM and came away even more confident in the ultimate success of Lightwave. I have been a buyer since the ASM even though I already have plenty. I am sorry I didn’t get a chance to meet you at the ASM, or if I did I did not know it was you.
There is no we here Vein.
Kevin is very engaged in learning everything he can about the photonics industry, the technology and Lightwave.
While he was at the ASM and facility tour asking questions and learning about what the company is DOING, you were planted in front of the screen watching the minute by minute stock ticker and writing your daily whine.
If you are really a shareholder, maybe spend some time to learn more about Lightwave than just the stock price.
…and YouTubeTv. Maybe this is the beginning of revenue from streaming services they have talked about. If it was I guess they likely would say that.
Nah, I think he is more like the other debate guy because he is a chronic liar.
Hey Power11, your caps lock is still stuck, even when you use a different username.
He is exposing his character. In his mind it is ok to violate NDA’s, and since he would he believes everyone would.
At the ASM in answer to FAQ’S Dr. Lebby said they can use foundries to scale modulators in volume. He also said they can scale material in volume at their Colorado facility.
If you believe he is lying you could always sell any shares you have remaining.
We saw wafers at the facility, but that is not proof to you.
The proof you want will only happen when they start delivering modulators to customers, so it is kind of a dumb question.
My condolences, for your loss. I suspect all posters here are sad to hear this news.
What makes you believe they are not? Certainly nothing the company has said. It said interest is increasing rapidly since the OFC demonstration.
