LTGeneral,
Smart post, from a smart man. I like the way you think.
I do have two questions regarding your post:
1) How do you know that the products are cutting edge ? My info tends to differ somewhat.
2) How do you know that the SEC is not expected to investigate this company ?
Thanks...
Good luck.
Don't thank me... I dumped a long time ago during the first run to $1.30. Made some nice money, but also know that this stock is one sick puppy that is about to be laid to rest IMO.
Cuda,
Weren't you the one saying that you were buying when it was going to hit into the 0.80's ? You must be buying alot. How many have you bought in the 0.80's ? 0.70's ? 0.60's ?
Cuda,
Load up the truck ! You got your wish. It's in the 80's now. Good luck.
I stand corrected, you were right Reuven. It was HLS that said it would have an ad in the Wall Street Journal today.
By the way, anybody see and ad for HLS in the Wall Street Journal today ?
And reuven, I would stop quoting the Orlando Sentinel article as fact. It was only an interview, and it was the CEO that said the company was going to do $750 million to $1 billion in sales this year. If a company were that big, wouldn't it have a better idea of what their revenue would be ? I mean if Microsoft were to come out and say that their 2006 revenues would be around those amounts, people would flip out... a 25% projected revenue differential, while we are into the last month of the year, is impossible. The orders should be on hand, production underway, its just a matter of determining what you can deliver by the end of december... That does not warrant a $250 million variable in their latest projection.
If it looks like it, smells like and tastes like it... it must must be it.
Anybody see an ad for IDS in the Wall Street Journal today ? I looked and couldn't find one. If so, please post.
Another bad start today...
If you believe that a company can go from $190 000 in sales in 2005, to $750 000 000 in sales in 2006, and that a company run by a person convicted (not alleged or supposedly) of stock fraud can do this while buying shares back... then this might be the companyfor you. If you believe that a company that has to take over 1 year to complete the sale of a web site, then this might be the company for you. If you believe that the company is being bought out by an independant company from Dubai, with no ties whatsoever to the CEO, then this might be the company for you. If you believe that the 995ad.com web site is actually worth several millions dollars (after looking at it), then this might be the company for you. If you believe a public company has the right to gag their transfer agent and refuse to tell that shareholders how many shares are outstanding, then this company might be for you.
But the most important part is that if you believe a CEO can spend most of his days on the internet chatting away on these boards, instead of actually working on growing his company then this company might be for you.
If it smells like s h i t, looks like s h i t and tastes like s h i t, it must be s h i t . So far this company looks like it and smells like. We're about to have the taste test in a few days...
Ouch. What happened this morning ???
Not a good sign IMO.
So when you said :
"IDS was updated..."
You admit that you were wrong. I won't go as far as to say you intentionally lied, as personal attacks are not what I am looking for. But either you were wrong or intentionally misled people through your post.
jmhgolf,
Here is what you said :
"Spin how you may but the PR said nothing about updating us. It said HLS will update the tender offer and the divi. IDS was updated and we will probably get the update soon.
HLS has informed IDS that later today it will update the tender offer for $2.35 per common share of IDS and the previously issued dividend."
You specifically said that IDS was updated, when the PR only said that HLS will update IDS later in the day... learn to write my friend before throwing insults around.
So once again, how do you know that HLS updated IDS about the $2.35 tender offer, when there has been no such confirmation from IDS ??? The PR specifically says that the confirmation was to come later in the day ?!?
Please explain.
jmgolf,
How would you know that HLS updated IDS about the $2.35 buyout ? Either you're an insider (hi Pat !) or IDS has screwed up once again on the basic principals of public disclosure.
Which is it ? Are you an insider, or is the company doing something illegal ??? Nah... not IDS... not Pat doing something illegal... say it ain't so...
The only other alternative would be that you're just lying to everyone here.
I look forward to your explanation.
Nope, you didn't miss a thing. We get another share dividend, from a non-trading entity... sounds familiar doesn't it ? And then they forget to put out the news on the cash dividend... all too convenient once again.
Reuven,
You know what happens when you "assume" things ??? It makes an "ass" out of "u" and "me"... When things look too good to be true, they most likely are. Don't let greed get the best of you here.
Start off on the right foot, find one PR in the last year that has been right and provided truthful & verifiable information. If you find one, let us know.
Good luck.
So Nathan met with Pat ?
jmhgolf : I can do that, and might do it, but what would be nice would be to see what someone like yourself says and posts as a name (i.e. head of sales and/or Brinks execs) and what the company actually says. Just a way to fish out the bashers or the pumpers if you like.
BTW I've been in this one and have solf my position a long time ago (around $1.15). I must admit it is holding up alot better than I expected.
It would be nice if just one person that is positive on this stock would post some verifiable DD. All the "bashers" have posted verifiable DD here. Now all we want is to see if the head of sales, or the Brinks execs really exist.
"IDS executives have now been informed that HLS executives would not be available until midnight today, Eastern Daylight Time, for the previously arranged teleconference."
So if I get it correctly, the revised PR should have been put out after the teleconference that was to be held at midnight yesterday ??? Once again late ??? Or maybe their teleconference has just been going on since midnight... you know they do have alot to talk about !
Another deadline come and gone, as usual.
Guess we missed the train, its heading back DOWN again... How many times can a company put out a PR saying that they have nothing to say ? Just think about it if IBM were to put out a PR saying "Something big is coming up, but we can't say what it is yet". Leaves alot of room for insider trading (either buying or selling). Wouldn't the SEC be all over their
b u t t s ?
Exactly what were the initial 2007 forecasted numbers ? If they are about to triple, according to the PR, it might be good to know what the previous forecast was... Or is it 3 times zero equals zero (3 x 0 = 0)?
If I were an "independant third party" negotiating a buyout of one of the IDWD divisions, I would start off by having a confidentiality agreement being signed. That would nobody on either side could talk about the negotiations one way or the other. This is "Mergard & Acquisitions 101" from my 15 years of M & A experience. The fact that the company keeps coming back with PRs about this supposed buyouts left and right would really tick me off if I were on the other side of the negotiating table. They only serve to falsely increase the value of the company in the market. But then again, if the PR were full of BS, and nobody were actully on the other side of the negotiating table, then there would be no problem.
jmh,
I think you misread my previous posts... I said that I had bought a long time ago (before Christmas) at $0.17 and sold this week at $1.30. I'm not complaining about anything. But someone raised the issue about the Dubai office, I did share my own personal experience with the company. They never gave me the address.
And yes, I do think that someone would take this kind of chance even if they are on probation. If Downs had a couple millions shares to dump, and has been doing so over the past few months, he has made a handsome profit that could take him to wherever he wants. Far away from the prying eyes of the SEC. MOney makes people do stupid things. Luckily I got the chance to make some money off of this play, but I feel that some out there will be left holding the bag.
Good luck.
I asked the company a few months ago about the Dubai office. I was there on business and wanted to check in on their Dubai office. They never replied, even after 3 e-mails and 2 phone messages asking for the address. So I never got to see their Dubai offices in person.
Ok, I give. Thats it, I'm out of this baby. Sold my shares at $1.30 (bought them at $0.17) and have been holding them just to be able to sit back and complain about this scam. But it seems that it won't break just yet. How can I pass up on a profit of $22000 ? Sorry, but thats it for me. Down deep, nothing justifies the current price. But I'm glad it did make me some money. Good luck to those still holding. And good luck to those keeping it real. Now back to your regularly scheduled program...
I came back from Dubai a few days ago... was at a security show with a new company I am working with. Tried to look up IDWD in the phone book, but got nothing. If anyone wants to see where I was at, go to this web site : http://www.intersecexpo.com/
Didn't get anything with 411 either.
Well I guess thats all we'll get out of you for a disclosure today... it'll have to do for now I have no problem with either yankees or confederates, as I'm in Canada.
I do appreciate the fact that you took the time to answer. Just don't go believing all of those people that try to push the big conspiracy theory on you. There's more to be made when a stock goes up then when it goes down. Simple math, the sky's the limit when it goes up (meaning unlimited profit potential) but the ground 0 is always lurking for anyone that might want to bring a stock price down.
I am en ex-broker, or what you might like to call retired. I don't work for anyone anymore. I invest some of my money to (hopefully) make more money to live off of and maybe even leave some for my kids someday. Nothing professional as you would call it. I work for myself and have fun doing it. Had enough of the stress levels, so I gave it up for country living.
So, no big public disclosure on who you are, what your name is or what you do for a living ??? Why not ?
I'm an ex-broker... And I don't earn my living by being a paid basher. I trade for a living. Not necessarily day trading, but trading none the less. When I was in the business, I dealt in corporate finance of public companies, and I never heard of any paid bashers for hire to try and influence the stock price.
Think of it this way... if a company invests $1 M in a start-up company, and gets shares in exchange, then the first logical idea is to want that company to succeed. If the company does not succeed, the shares are worhtless. Then you have convertible debentures. The company investing in the start-up usually gets these which give them the right to purchase stock in the future at a determined price. Worst case scenario is that your debentures have no floor on them and are based on the market price. Then the investing company can buy more shares with less money... but still owning a POS company that is going down the drain. They do not want to own or run companies, investment firms want to make money. The best way to do that is to have the company succeed and see the share price rise.
Investment firms only short a stock where they know it will be going down the drain. They won't take chances on a stock they are not 100% sure of, as the risk is too big even for them. There is no need for investment firms (or hedge funds) to bash a company to drive down the stock price, as the companies they short usually do a good job of not coming through on their own to see people bail out.
"The big conspiracy theory" has always been the motto of POS companies. If a company is good, it will make money. If they make money, the stock price will go up. It is that simple.
Bashing a stock does not influence the fundamentals of a company and their ability to make money. So bashing is useless in the end. The only manipulation that can make people money is to pump a stock to get more people to buy without factual information, thus enabling the pumpers to dump their stock at inflated prices.
I did hear of paid pumpers though... they are much more common in these waters then you might think.
Good luck
Hillbilly,
If you read the article completely, it does not talk about stock manipulation or any other "shady" activity by any major investment firms or hedge funds in pink sheet stocks. It talks about straight forward long term investments in stocks with potential that happen to trade on the pink sheets. The article states, accoridng to people involved, that there are good potential investments to be found in pink sheets. In fact, the article leans more towards warning us more of the managers of these companies that might tend to cheat shareholders... So the way I read it, the article is warning about people like Downs, more than trying to tell us that the hedge funds are the reason this stock is dying.
Big difference with companies that are reporting earnings, giving shareholder guidance, publishing factual information about market share, etc. such as those mentioned in the article, and what we have here... But it was fun to read a bit about a stock or two that I've been holding for a while. Thanks for the info.
Hillbilly,
By the same logic your using on the bashers, wouldn't your posts be construed as manipulating naive newbies into buying this stock and possibly throwing money down the drain ? If you keep repeating that this is worth taking a chance on, worth putting your money into, worth the risk, etc... When in fact you never really know. Those that did not invest maybe saved money, or if they would have made money they might have done it at the expense of other nebie investors.
Every coin has two sides.
I myself have not made any money on this stock. I have invested a little bit just recently (December) to see how it plays out. I will be here after the ultimate judgment comes, as a spectator, maybe even a winner, but most likely as a small victim in this petty little game.
It may be annoying, but thats life on the discussion boards.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by the tragedy in the mine near where you are...
I think that if we see IDWD hiring reps around the country after the Holidays, and a national ad campaign being put through newspapers, tv & radio, then we will all start to feel more confident in this company. But my little finger tells me that ain't going to happen...Never trust my little finger for investment advice. I wanna see it with my own eyes.
Cuda,
I don't think that Fof was talking about the layout of the web site. I think it has more to do with the fact that IDWD copied "word for word" other web sites. That's what has to be explained. I have taken a small position, if only to see how this drama pans out in the end. I love reading both the bashers and the pumpers. It's a great soap opera, much better than days of our lives. Sometimes I feel its more like "the good, the bad and the ugly" ! So far, we have nothing of substance to create positive momentum. But there are plenty of unanswered questions which create negative pressure. All that is needed is something concrete. Otherwise its off to oblivion like the many more before them.
Janice,
Don't know why exactly you put those words into a reply to my post. I never said that the site had added functionality or anything like that... I just quoted the news release...
Justerx,
Don't be so quick to categorize anybody here... ya never know for sure. Look at yourself, 5 posts in 3 years of being a member here... Could be construed as an additional alias to one of the pumpers here, but I would never accuse you of that sine I don't know for sure. I do know, based on your posting that you bought in at $0.27... Even with this pump you're still down. That could be incentive enough to try and pump new suckers into this stock to try and get your money back, but once again I can't say for sure cause I don't know.
People can do as they please, whether it be negative or positive posting. It's a free country.
Unfortunately, Downs seems to have put out 1 too many PRs. This one today is sending the price back down from the little run it had yesterday.
BTW, neither IDWD nor HKB have bothered answering my request for information yesterday.

Good work jmgolf. You did find some interesting info on HKB. Now all we need is for them to verify the authenticty of what is said in the IDWD PR. I have sent an e-mail to HKB asking some basic questions for verification. I have also sent an e-mail to IDWD asking for some clarifications on the PR. Knowing what this company is capable of, I think more information is needed right now before jumping for joy, but it does look brighter.
Jim,
My experience with 144 stock has been that if you want the restriction lifted after one year, you need a lawyer's opinion letter (cost about 500$) to free them up. I think you have to live outside the US though for this to happen after one year (not sure on that though). After 2 years, you just give the certificate to the stock broker without any lawyer's letter, and it will become free trading. There are no reporting requirements needed. The lawyer (after 1 year, for the opinion letter) only needs to verify if the company still exists, is trading and that you are going to sell the shares on the open market. I had some 144 stock a few years ago, and they were worth selling after 1 year, and I went through the process with the lawyer. Not too complicated.
So now we are being compared to Microsoft and other such companies that have "hundreds of offices". last I looked, if I wanted a Microsoft office address, I just went to their web site. They even send it to me by e-mail, with a telephone number to call. I will be in Dubai at the end of January (checking out a security show - Intersec) and will look into it.
Upside potential is definitely greater than the downside... it's sitting at $0.16. Only 16 more cents to go and it's 0 downside. Upside potential is always greater than downside. But this stock just keeps going down. Why ? They are supposed to be buying back stock. Something doesn't add up.
How can a TA tell you the the OS was reduced by 10 M, but not be able to tell you how may OS there are ? I got the info on another pink stock the TA is handling, why not IDWD ?
