I think the reference was to pic 2 on the link. It shows our kiln in the distance. Aka pizza oven
Nice to see the project is still moving forward :)
Interesting new photo out of Ft Union..
Anyone know if there was room for stairs on the end of our slab? I'm trying to match up these photos and it appears the kiln is just out of view to the left on the one shown in the article.

Here's 2 images of the kiln/slab

It's mentioned a couple times on page 2. Once right before Wyoming New Power and once after.
The infamous Kiln to enhance the pilot plant we'd never see, along with the mention of WNP we'd never hear of again..
Imagine that :)
Correct! A 20th of a Century ago. And here's 1 from about 1/3 of that..
Appears to me like things are still a go! Somewhat behind schedule as usual..

Sorry. I wasn't around when Doug Hague ran the company. Nor have I studied his tenure.
If you'd like to continue, please explain what happened.
Also in April 2017 there were several presentations by UW and associates linked here on the ECED website
http://www.energycapitaled.com/about/success-stories-and-news-articles/
These pages show direction of emerging coal to products taking place within the State. One cites CCTI's ability to achieve higher BTU's. Given the fact CCTI was approached by the DOE at/near the same time as these presentations on the potential of Wyoming's coal future. Also the "fact" the DOE connected CCTI and UW after reviewing results. I'm optimistic the move to Wyoming was strategic in nature to the specific project taking place at Ft Union.
Good luck to all!
In April 2017 CCTI resumed testing at request of the DOE
In Oct of the same year, CCTI signed the MOU with UW.
IMO there must have been something positive in the testing that was worth signing the MOU for further research and development. It is also my opinion UW was successful on improving the technology in the lab. Otherwise, I doubt we would have seen the delivery of the kiln. Nor the extent of the schools funding.
For those interested. Here's a video that sheds some light on the "partnership" between CCTI and UW.
Good question. The reason I say likely is because there's a project taking place at Fort Union in coordination with ECED and the University of Wyoming.
The project has to do with a pilot plant beneficiating coal while extracting byproducts etc combined with CCUS technologies. CCTC was approached by UW years ago for further research/development. CCTC has since moved to Fort Union, signed an MOU with ECED, and was supplied a $1.3MM rotary kiln through their collaboration with UW.
I've been researching this for several years. I have yet to find another clean coal technology who was approached by UW or ECED after having a functional pilot plant with validated test results by UW. Let alone, one located/moved to the epicenter outside Gillette, WY.
Speaking of ECED's website
If you look at the bottom of their BoD page, you'll see their long term strategic -DRIVE- plan. Reading through the plan, you can see where CCTC was likely identified, recruited, and partnered with. Also potentially in development with a NEW or North East Wyoming alliance. Wyoming NEW Power maybe??
In my estimation ECED is on track to accomplish this drive. A major step (The WyIC) is scheduled to open this summer. That could kick off Goal 5 aka "Awesome" projects!

More CCTC related posts can be found on their success stories page. As well as their projects and activities page linked on the "About Us" tab.
I'm not sure that's why SER came along.
According to Mary Anne Alvin at the DOE, certain "clean coal" processes that receive DOE funding must be environmentally benign.
There's a chance the test results were better than (or as) expected. In-turn kickstarting the collaboration with SER, ECED and the State to encompass CCTI's technology into their refining/extraction/CCUS project at/around Ft Union.
Nice to see coal Char move from successful lab tests to Field Testing.

Coal Char is yet another potential revenue stream for CCTC

My summary of the interview.
Phil was helping CCTI relocate to Wyoming as early as 2016
CCTI is listed as Project Vanderbilt on ECED's website
CCTI has partnered with SER on development after the college validated their claims
SER has since supplied a rotary kiln
Wyoming Innovation Center (next to CCTI) is set to open this summer
NETL will be testing REE extraction their and is also partnered with SER
ETC ETC..
My guess is SER has taken the lead in developing CCTI's coal refining concept by testing and improving their process. When Phil talks about "Opening WyIC this summer, a technology-scale up facility for advanced carbon products utilizing coal and coal by-products as a raw material. A facility a hub where tenants can test and refine new “clean” coal to products made from the region’s Powder River Basin coal". I think there's a solid reason SER approached CCTI shortly after this project kicked off in 2015.
We shall see :)

Why weren't we talking about this in 2018 when I brought it up in post 32503
Instead it was swept under the rug.
Seems a bit more obvious now I guess.
Go figure..
Looking for a DCB Monday. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing. Listening to this, starting from the you mentioned is extremely informative.
Unfortunately the claim is not novel, sufficient or specific in parameters.
The patent therefor appears abstract and obvious.
Not looking good :/
-American Resources Corporation Interview to Air on Bloomberg U.S. on the RedChip Money Report(R)-
Thanks for sharing. I'm hoping to ad some relevant news Monday.
Something is brewing at ECED. Quite possibly involving the WyIC.
Exactly! lets hope MSFT doesn't opt to assume liability and clears this legacy with a payout :)
Good Luck!
-AREC is ready to explode-
-Recycling plant aims to turn US coal country into rare earth powerhouse-
It's hard (or impossible) to know what ever happened with that.
My guess is those talks in-part helped formalize the MOU between CCTC and UW. In 2015 the DOE granted $$ for UW to explore ways to extract rare earths from coal. Later, the University approached CCTC with interest in their technology. In 2017 an MOU was signed surrounding collaboration in maximizing value in Wyoming coal. Things were then moved to Wyoming, and after independently validating CCTC's technology, UW provided a matching grant which led to the eventual delivery of the rotary Kiln.
The kiln is currently sitting next to ECED's Wyoming Innovation Center which is expecting it's first tenant (NETL/DOE working alongside UW) this summer. Ironically CCTC has an MOU with ECED as well..
IMO something big is happening right under our noses.
Good luck on your trading strategy. I hope this works out for all of us :)
IMO The market will continue to value this news.
Brilliant move by both parties!
The Heritage Group's Monument Chemical could benefit greatly through supplied rare earths sourced by AREC.
Good luck!

Happy New Year, VivaLasVegas! Here's the most recent picture of the kiln I could find..
Still sitting while infrastructure gets built out.
Things in/around the WyIC should start syncing this summer.

We shall see. According to Phil Christopherson:
I think this originated from the June 8th email about Aiden not selling shares.
Is that correct?
I've only been slightly tracking this since we've gone sub-shitter PPS.
P.S. anyone been by the Innovation Center lately??
I read there's a ribbon-cutting scheduled. First tenants arrive this summer!
We demand screenshots BUCKM! Or it doesn't work..
Panting in wait
We shall see.. #LetsGoShadow! Lol
What a beautiful sight! Excellent choice of colors and location.
Works with pilot plants?? Hmmmmmm :)
Sadly, that’s how far back I had to go. You’re not often wrong..
So what did your recent post mean? It’s done? Over? CCTC will cease to exist?
Thx!
What did it mean on Jan 15, 2015 when he said:
"There is no way -- NONE -- that we will ever see a pilot plant."
