Good question. The reason I say likely is because there's a project taking place at Fort Union in coordination with ECED and the University of Wyoming.

The project has to do with a pilot plant beneficiating coal while extracting byproducts etc combined with CCUS technologies. CCTC was approached by UW years ago for further research/development. CCTC has since moved to Fort Union, signed an MOU with ECED, and was supplied a $1.3MM rotary kiln through their collaboration with UW.

I've been researching this for several years. I have yet to find another clean coal technology who was approached by UW or ECED after having a functional pilot plant with validated test results by UW. Let alone, one located/moved to the epicenter outside Gillette, WY.
