in SPY Aug 26 '11 $112 Put w at 1.25
Thanks, I do wish I put something in it, but the stock wasn't acting how I thought it would, and looked elsewhere. Then come back 2 hours later and see it went in the direction I had thought. Sometimes I guess you have to stick to your guns...woulda made me a real happy camper pulling 7 bags on friday afternoon.
Ahh, right, I forgot that you will need a buyer for those worthless SOLD (written) calls! Thanks, understood.
General question:
Can you short call options on the day of expiration and then cover at 3:50..3:55? That seems like a no brainer so I assume it's not possible?
well thats what happens when you go long on a clearly bearish day. (dumb mistake)
I'm flirting with the PCLN AUG $455 calls at $1.75...looks like it wants to bounce here
Good luck with everything Roy, hope all goes well.
These did over 700% from when i posted...i didnt play it what a bummer
AMZN Out at .55 from .38 + .17
In AMZN AUG-11 $180.00 PUTS at .38
Im undecided now, looks like SPY might want to bounce
I like PCLN Aug 465 Puts at 2.00. Quite the spread but I believe it's going down shortly.
These went 100%+ in under an hour. I need these every day...
Yea I think its way risky to play calls right now. no more call plays for me today
SPY Aug $115 calls at .96 look good for a bounce. chart coming...
I like AAPL - AUG-11 $365.00 PUTS at 2.10
Nice job.
I am fairly new to options as well. I've been trading for a while but started trading options this year.
I have found the most important decision I made that has helped me trade unbelievably better is to always have a plan. I ask myself questions like 'Why am I selling/buying here? What are the possible scenarios that could happen? How am I going to react? When am I going to exit this trade?'
I find that if I can answer those questions before I enter a trade, I do much better. My emotions stay out of it as well if I have a plan.
Congrats on those Aug 110's
Nice job. Are you talking about the Aug or Sept 110 puts?
I think it's smart you didn't push the button. Don't let the emotions take control! Good job. I think it's very tough to hold overnight right now.
I'm more than glad to help!
These comments are appreciated, thanks.
Did you have any puts after market close? I didn't, I was too undecided.
head fake city, lets try again tomorrow
SPY 118 Aug puts very appealing at .52 here but this TL is holding it up

Thanks Breakout, that is appreciated.
It was a good call but it might have been hard to hang on to them yesterday.

Gotta love price action.
If SPY breaks 119.00 it will open the door for more bears
Roy, are these real time trades?
Yes, we have nothing to compare our current situation too.
Things have gotten way too far out of control. People need to open their eyes. There's too much to say about the topic, I am in agreement with what you've said.
I am unable to do any trading until Monday, but will be charting from the sidelines.
I've been using StockCharts for around 5 years. Over that time my charts have ranged from cluttered messes to nothing but the candles.
I've found that keeping it clean lets me best see price action.
I traded currency for about two years, and that is when I first learned about price action. For me, it works well but I am by no means an expert.
I haven't been trading options for too long but I immediately took a liking upon them after seeing the returns one can make (great job on those doubles).
I really need to create a generic style for my charts. The most important thing I do when I use stock charts is turn off 'Log Scale'. That changes the way a chart looks and trend lines, S/R lines, etc. can not be drawn correctly.
hi roy,
Thanks for commenting on that. I am pretty bearish on the market right now. I do believe the trend has been broken, and we are in for bearish movement. If that isn't true, then we just have to follow what price tells us.
Here is one I posted on August 4th:

I am with you on that one
