ex suis aliena judica..
so long dude, you are beyond salvation...
Well you are as gracious as ever. I hope you have a very pleasant holiday season. And maybe with the new year instead of calling people names such as bag holders, idiots, etc maybe you will find it in you to, you know, not do that. It takes some qualities you may lack but I believe that people are capable of changing.
Oh wow, you seem to have seen the light. I've had this discussion with you last time I was on this forum maybe a year ago and you pretty much called me an idiot and you were asking me where I was seeing the signs which, btw, were EVERYWHERE. Good luck anyway. I just took a look here and nothing has changed in a year the same smoke and the same mirrors..
unless it is the day BEFORE
Obviously they think that the real dilution has not happened yet.
I think people forget that the only reason APDN puts our positive PR's is to soften the blow from imminent bad news. So watch out for the reverse split. It will not be pretty.
I may be overly skeptical but the whole thing felt staged to say the least.
okidoki
I am not a fool, I have never owned the stock and never going to either. I just check out this board once in a while, when I am bored. And nobody, certainly not you, is in a position to tell me what a startup is. If you understood anything about what you call the "tech" you would know that this is exactly the company's problem. The "tech" is not scaleable. Fundamental flaw of the "tech". Why do you think they do one pilot after another and never get a contract? One word: Scaleability. More accurately, lack thereof.
I think you should look at their patent filing dates and you will see that the "tech" has been around for much over 6 years. You want to keep calling this a "hot" "startup" with "tech" and stuff go ahead but I think you know it is an old dog that refuses to learn new tricks. The same tired game with a bunch of bs pr's every time before they announce yet another terrible quarter.
SO you actually read in that PR that the State of Israel is endorsing the APDN technology. Where exactly did you read that, because I am starting to doubt my reading comprehension and that is a sad fact because I aced the relevant SAT segment back when I was young.
and a DNA tag is the best way you can think of to get a genuine sprinkler?
on household washing machines and fire sprinklers? maybe you are a bit overly optimistic
Money is changing hands and that is exactly the point of this company's existence.
I am not complaining because I don't own the stock. I am an observer sharing some technical opinions mostly and occasionally some business perspective. And no matter how a company ended up being publicly traded, a NASDAQ listing is most definitely sign of a company that neither is nor wants to be considered a startup. I suggest that you ask Sanjay or whoever as to what they think about the company's status.
I have wondered the same thing myself. Arguably a NASDAQ listed company is anything but a startup. A company that has been trying for 25 years to make something work, either. Since there will be push back that they have ONLY been REALLY trying for six or seven years (what were they doing the prior seventeen is anyone's guess), I'd say even that is past the expiration date of a startup. The term "startup" is conveniently used here to forgive unforgivable performance.
OK then at your convenience you explain why the APDN, at their own assertion, are now a large scale linear DNA whatever company and not an authentication, traceability, whatever company. I don't know what else the company needs to do to convince you and the rest that what they initially set out to do is not working, To their credit they are really trying, I just don't think you all on this board are listening/
One could argue that all evidence points to the fact that the technology has been proven not to work, at least not in a manner that can support a profitable business. Twenty some years is plenty of time to prove something and I think something has been proven. Just not what one would wish.
I'll buy that. So, if in the absence of other news, the stock goes down 5% tomorrow, how will you explain it? It has been doing that up and down thing and there always seems to be an explanation for the ups and never an explanation for the downs.
it is called a random walk

He will call you ignorant just like he called me.... But what you are saying is absolutely correct.
Thanks for confirming what I said a couple of weeks ago, just after the crash. Come Monday after the holidays, this whole board will be in a state of euphoria. All will be good, the verticals and the unspoken contracts will be there waiting and even if Q2 is terrible, as it is certain to be, Q3 and Q4 will see the stock price rise to $10. Heck, let's think big. $20!
you can call me whatever you like and I get to decide whether I stick around to take it, serve it back to you or whatever. Lab rat is almost kind of cute. Nothing can be further from the truth though. My only exposure to labs is when I go to do blood tests,
why would you remove my post? Was it obscene or disrespectful? If this is your playground and you do as you please, you can have it all to yourself, just don't invite contributors.
You are calling us ignorant?
https://www.organicdye.com
So now that you convinced yourself that you are right you may want to try the same argument with the NOSB and/or USDA and see if you can convince them...
you are correct that as they are presently set up they CANNOT tag organic products. I suppose they could but the products would not longer be considered organic.
your statement about the USDA is not correct. Oligonucleotides are considered GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) by the FDA and the new GMO Law specifies what is GMO and what is not. DNA is not automatically considered a GMO if added to food. I think you are confusing it with organic in which case you are partially correct, adding synthetic DNA to organic foods is not allowed. It is a bunch of complicated issues that blend science and prejudice.
you know, based on required disclosures, etc. buying controlling interest one share at a time becomes obvious really quickly and essentially becomes a takeover bid. The market responds accordingly. So, no, it is not easier to buy anything on the open market, and this whole takeover by a pharmaceutical giant theory is beyond fantasy. It is delusion.
I think your definition of insanity applies primarily to the retail investors, not Maxim nor the company. They go about their business and Maxim's business certainly is NOT DNA or anything related.
Obviously they are very confident in their ability to pump and dump. And they should be. They have been doing it for years, all the way down to $0.30
I predicted last week that after the holidays the entire board will once again be in a state of irrational exuberance and will collectively have forgotten what just happened. And this talk about a possible acquisition (where is that coming from other then irrational exuberance) proves that, unfortunately, I was correct.
It happens every time. Just you wait...
I think we had this discussion a while back and your claim was that no matter what the direction of the stock price, with APDN the investor always wins. It goes up, we win. It goes down, we win. What is happening is terrible but hopefully it is a lesson. Frankly I doubt it. I think by the first of the year this entire board will be super excited about all the possibilities and the value propositions and the verticals etc. etc.
I don't think they are done with Maim. The company is not the victim here. The victims are the retail investors. The company will pump, Maxim will dump and the cycle will begin again.
you must be very excited. you have been waiting for this moment for years.
I guess whoever promised you sub $1 kept his promise. You should be opening up champagnes.
"strong business momentum?" You can't possibly be serious. I mean, at least the market's reaction should give you some pause.
But you keep referring to Maxin as some unbiased source when you know damn well that there were taking retail investors to the cleaners. You just keep referring to Sabby the same way,.. The truth is, they are both ripping you off.
come on, $0.20 per round for tagging cotton? I warned you at the time that it was beyond irrational to expect such a thing. I don't know how much cotton sells per pound but it is probably less than that. Easy to find that number. I also warned you that the market would bear maybe 0.25-0.5% of the market value of the commodity for tagging. I stand by that number. You can do the math and realize that APDN has no chance of ever making money, unless it is tagging diamonds or something.
they shot up to $9 for absolutely no reason. Pure manipulation. The fact that people continued to trade this stock after that is a testament too.... never mind...
