lol..... got to come over to canada!!!!!!!
what exactly did you smoke???? a 1000 USD lol, that would make a market cap of ca 232BILLION CND.... i.e. roughly 1 and half times constellation brands and Diageo put together.... moreover, with a production capacity of 50,000kg a year FIRE may have maybe revenue in the region of 350M cnd a year... c'mon, share price is not a matter of wishes, even in this crazy volatile pot market pre-legalisation.....
exactly, 100%! agree, today is unbelievable, i thought 50USD for cgc was the hardest psychological barrier, it went through like a train!!!! and the volume!!! 17M cgc plus 10M weef at this moment (so it will increase)... this makes a combined value of trade today so far in excess of 1.3 B I L L I O N usd.... apple (MktCap 1.1T) volume, to make a comparison, in terms of usd is 4.4 BIL today, facebook (Cap494B) 3.7 BIL, GOOGLE (Cap830B) 1.4 BIL, EBAY *Cap 34B) less than 600 MIL
what is happening is giagantic in terms of volume
oh man, I also want to play, love RISK!!
man best of luck. i dont know you but i feel you, when it decide to shit down. i wish you and family to get better and that this money may help you somehow
why do you think so?
WEED - CGC was in the same otcqx unbtil end of May, then uplisted. US federal law on drugs and schedule 1 for cannabis do not have much to do with uplisting the stock to nyse or nasdaq.
give it time, it will get there in my opinion. the company is real, the weed it makes also, and I like their business model b2b premium... go FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
there are a couple of vids, one posted by Dbrown and another one by jake1990 I think, on the charts of these days. the vid posted by jake1990 explains (level 2) who are the current buyers in the US, institution wise CIBS seems to be the largest player in these days, and lots of anonymous....
there they are:
by Jake1990
see again my msg, i didnt really follow beside aphria, for which it may be far more bcs of diageo, but tilray indeed it may well be also bcs of nova scotia, or bcs in this moment there is crazy euphoria, and the fact we are in august is incredible. in the past few years this was normally the lowest month of the year for the sector, while in september sometimes the sector (US in particular) has recuperated or spiked nicely on some news (once was a famous medical tv star, another time the US attorney general with a circular letter, and so on....
sorry i had misunderstood the whole thing, it is not correct what i wrote earlier. it is for nova scotia indeed
thank you for posting!
agree, super interesting, the guy has done is DD on the current tradings
CGC 17M volume n counting!
29 aug 2017, one year ago, WEED was at 8.85CND, and it was already quite pleasing :)
absolutely! the combination of many things, NYSE quoting May, C45 June, constellation August, then more rumors of alcohol giants, with already crazy volume from USA that we have never witnessed, and that together with the high CMD volumes, make the perfect blue sky :)))) and we could have never have seen such volumes as long as we were on otc..... seriously, over 1 BIL usd, and everybody talking of WEED and comparing to Google, Amazon... ?!?!!? kudos, really, to Bruce and Canada and JT!!
14.1M on NYSE, another ca 8 on TSX, 22M x 47USD = KABOUUUUUUUUM again above 1 B I L L I O N usd worth of volume so far and the day is still kind of long......
thank you Dbrown!
whatever the bottom line, we may all get ready for a decent asylum retreat kind of thing once this is past, wheneer that will be......
stilll quite some wind, and it remains overall insane for rapidity and rise... reaching 67, in the same tens at least, which i would not have dreamt for prior legalisation... logically it could/should not keep like this, but this sector is in full heat, even small players get the benefit of the hype. HMMJ getting closer to its all times high, APH, CRON and TLRY flying. so many positive things at once, as the youtuber chart savant guy pointed out. so far so good today, lets see until the bell. but like this it has to stop at one point, or not? are we on a rocket to the moon until 10/17? it cannot be, yet this sector and this company has shown some really impressive stuff. how more will institutions price in in terms of its future value? that is the question for now, and although long, very long actually, i'm thinking that if it gets to 67 i will take profit hoping for a consolidation around 50. i think the real psychological high is if CGC gets to pass 50USD....
if the next couple of year are going to be like this I need a very good cardiologist at hand..........
Canopy Rivers. can anyone explain what is going to happen with this spin out? is it going to be like Australis for Aurora? I mean, once Canopy Rivers goes public, are WEED shareholders receiving shares of C.Rivers, or any gains from the IPO will go to WEED (and indirectly to shareholders)?
impressive volume for the ticker in Germany.. over 200K shares, very unusual :)
go 67!!!! the whole sector is on pre-market fire!!!! look Tilray, and CRON.... APH "just a megre" 5%... I too believed it would take at least a couple of years to get here. instead here we are, for a day (week?) testing shareholders' sanity.........
i have to say i love the charts though :) very accurate most of times... and respect for the beliefs, though cannabis is illegal bcs of men, not God :)
sure you are right, in the short term of course it cant keep going like this.... point is, the volume remains insane for the moment and where is it going to flip? second point being, well wherever that is in my humble opinion is going to be higher in 6 months from now....
man i could pee in my pants, and i totally get Fah throwing up, at least a little i think it helps ))))...
volume is insane... combined US and CND well above 1.1 B I L L I O N USD..........
i agree, the volume is insane, in particular for nyse CGC... we're talking in the region of 3 quarter of a billion US and counting, putting together TSX and NYSE.... that's bloody impressive...... go 67!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes, i'm italian, but don't live there for 25+ years, though i come back often. right now in central asia.
yes, i did. but did you notice also how things also moved quickly the opposite way? the National Public Health council, which is made by doctors and advises the gov (ministry of public health) already express a dubious opinion on this shops, saying that they could not exclude the harmful effects of cannabis!
the poor idiots are one example of how long and still hard will be the battle in italy between legalisers and prohibitionists. and these shops are open, yes, but they look daily clandestine in some respects (the ones i know in rome have e.g. no signs outside, you need to know they're there actually, and they are exploiting some sort of legal loophole that matches with mainstream judicial doctrine that will never punish anybody for possession with the intent to use, if medically/socially justifiable and even without medical prescriptions (strong case law on that).
i am afraid we haven't seen the full story yet regarding the italian legal weed (cbd only)
thank you John !! ))) love the golden sunset, i'd have already a couple of places in mind :)
it is not the 5stars that would be against, but the other jerks of northern league. they are trash, bigot, xenophobic, homophobic trash, and legalisation of weed would be a big thing in Italy, but it was not on the manifestos of either parties and, more importantly, it is not in their government coalition agreement to govern now italy. too controversial, it won't come up for this legislature i'm afraid.... yet again, it depends how long it last of course the legislature )
i didn't quite follow canopy rivers spin off. can anybody explain in a nutshell what is going to happen when it becomes public? revenues go to WEED or to shareholders? (I mean, we're gonna receive a part of shares of canopy rivers?? or none of the above?
hi John, always love your posts!
in relation to your post on italy legalising weed also for rec., my 2 cents view on it, and the italian govt moves, as an italian myself.
i don't think this govt will be the one to move to legalisation. italy is still fairly bigot when it comes to drugs, less than before of course, but far more than other our countries, like spain, germane, belgium to mention a few. if anywhere in europe i would expect first switzerland to go fully legal, then spain, belgium, germany. europe is weird at this point, for many reasons also related with what the financial crisis of 10 yrs ago has still left in the economy, plus migration and terrorism make it a nasty combination of fear and need for power and drastic positions. some of your relatives are danish if i recall, they have witnessed how on the one hand traditional liberal spaces like Christiania have been seriously pulled back by newly elected administrations praising for law and order (although medical is ok). all those populist and fascists movements around are the fruits of these years that have revealed many shortcomings. italy in addition to this has also the church, which traditionally has been strongly against any legalisation, and that has a prominent role in the (drug free) treatment side of the story. harm reduction itself remains rather poor in italy compared to other EU countries. in addition a readout of recent italian press points out how those against legalisation are in coming through more than those in favour. i just read an delirious article yesterday putting together heart attacks, coke and mj, with alcohol on the background, and treating all of them as the same, (mis)quoting 2 studies from the US, one of NIDA whose agenda is not that objective......
i believe italy will follow what others will do at distance, and i think the US have more chances to see weed legal before italy does....:( but still i concur that this is going to happen, in the medium to long term (10 yrs from now).
for the rest........ i loved 17, and i got to say.... go 67!!!!! :) weed the real deal imho!!
cheers
i think there is only one amendment that may be refused by the commomns, i.e. the home cultivation thing for the provinces who do not want to legalise home pot.
if i were JT, i wouldnt care about this. he can save his face by saying that he doesnt want to interfere wioth provincial competences, he gets his bill through, and his name in history (and likely the pass for the next elections and another legislature). if he doesnt, things may get delayed and pass over summer. or it could make a transitory period where the legislation does not apply for the home pot and only for those provinces who do not want home pot... options he has are many with a house of commons all lib. we are at the end of the legalisation journey, a truly remarkable achievement. congratulations to Canada. and to WEED investors :))))
its a loooong debate, each one of them needs to speak, this is an historical moment, not just for canada. they feel it, all of them needs to say something so that later they can say, see? i said it! thats polilticians i'm afraid...
but i think it looks good, the indigenous senator is speaking in favour, if thats a sign they'll all vote in favour, it would be very good!!
but all in all beside one all the amendments are not really controversial, to me it looks good so far.. just some 8 hrs ahead of you guys so i wont be able to stay until the end....
i understand, actually i found out myself danish authorities are a bit annoying when it comes to operating a trading account, so i get the hurdles...
thank you for your nice words, i'm just an observer and here we are assisting to the birth of an entire brave new world when it comes to cannabis in my opinion. in europe things are progressing on the medical side surprisingly smoothly if one looks back to 20 yrs ago, end of the 90ies we were still about to enter the decade UNODC was defining "a drug free world, we can make it!" ))) and the CND(Commission on narcotic drugs, always UN) was reprimanding countries for making available paraphernalia for cannabis or other drugs (i.e., rolling papers or injecting equipment eg!!!!). the most conservative countries would then be backed up in their restrictive drug policies singing off the UN support for such moves.... but things have changed, his/aids epidemic has been incredibly and dramatically instrumental to a more pragmatic drug policy, and to make the long story short we went through and are heading towards real change world-wide at least in the western and anglosaxon world and latin america.
so, relax, that's what i keep telling myself, it is so all starting really just about now!!!!
crossing fingers and holding on tightly, i wanna see legalisation and beyond...
i did halved on the spike of nov 2016 (the magic 17 dollars day but then reinvested on the sector's dip and diversified with ACB, OGI, FIRE and eventually ATT. as things stand today, i'm roughly as if i had kept it all in WEED, just slightly better as ACB is flying like a concord as i' writing )
why do they want to buy only in DK? can't they have access to the TSX?
i have my accounts with 2 european banks, one EU and the other non-EU, and i can freely operate on all canadian markets. moreover, the volume would be rather small, as it is in Frankfurt (today ca 30K @ 22 EUR or ca. 600K EUR vs over 200Million CND (ca 130M EUR) and counting for today.....),
i also feel by the way i have to thank you Mr john1311 and mmpruser and Dbrown13. i am scouting this board, and some others (ACB, FIRE, OGI and ATT) since long, and although i dont write often i read regularly, and your insights and views have been really helpful and always to the point.
I had both Tweed and Bedrocan well in mind already in 2014, before they went both public. The arrival of Bedrocan in Canada for me meant things were getting really serious, as their reputation in the Netherlands was tremendous. i always believed the shift in public sentiment about cannabis was more than likely, and i invested what i could back 3-4 years ago, betting and hoping for the liberals for 2015.
your posts on this board have accompanied my journey so far, really grateful!

When in 2015 they announced the intent to establish a partnership with broken cost, a cnd cannabis LP, i emailed broken cost. They had never heard of eaph and were very surprised of the news. Then eaph never ever mentioned this again, although the original PR sounded like they were going to partner in a month or less....
What dots? The difference between a LOI to aquire and an actual aquisition is as substantial as it is that between day and night...
does EAPH has any real trial ongoing with FDA?
wow, they reply, that's already a progress look, I seriously don't care about shorting anything, I don't think I am such an influential observer that can make the market move because of my comments. actually, from Europe where I have my accounts, I cant even trade anymore in eaph. I still have some stocks from the 2014 bonanza, which I kept to see how far they would run, but I can only sell them, I cant buy them anymore unless I open an account with a trading platform, which as European for a number of reason I don't want to do. needless to say, they didn't really move upwards since then, actually got a full downwards swing. seen how many on the board write more as believers & faithful rather than investors who want to get their bucks healthy and growing, I just share my experience and observation of this stock. believe it or not I follow it since early 2000, as said before. back then it was called L.A.M. pharmaceuticals and it had been worth even 1.40 USD a share!!! can you believe? then as a real fact look into the available balance sheets, the produce but have zero revenues. they talk of intentions, but deliver little facts. this said, with some hype and PR they can still make your money and time worthwhile.
but for the real money I invest, sorry eaph is not my choice. go and have a look to the CND cannabis sector there are the real players, with real assets, real facilities, real balance sheets and do you dd to find out where to seek for your early retirement
love and peace to all
