Phoenix Associates Announces Acquisition of Construction Company and Updates Post-Disaster Initiatives
10:03 AM EDT October 6, 2005
Phoenix Associates Land Syndicate (Pink Sheets:PBLS) today announced that it has completed the acquisition of 3-D Builders, Inc. in a deal for stock and cash, in an effort to increase its construction division capacity in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita.
Phoenix management anticipates that the acquisition of the residential construction company will add over $2 million in revenue and be accretive to earnings in the current fiscal year alone. These estimates do not include revenue that could be realized from the post-disaster rebuilding effort in which CNN.com, subsidiary of Time Warner (NYSE:TWX), has reported that between 140,000 and 160,000 homes need to be leveled and rebuilt in and around New Orleans.
The company has also added additional human resources to pursue work through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and regional contractors that have been assigned work in the disaster relief.
CEO, Paul Alonzo, commented, "We continue to aggressively scale operations through strategic acquisitions, particularly within our construction division, in order to fulfill the immediate construction related needs within Louisiana and Mississippi. Additionally, we are pursuing all avenues available to deploy as much of our 100,000,000 tons of raw sand, gravel and soil as possible to use in the rebuilding of the disaster stricken areas."
The company is working on and anticipates that it will have additional acquisition and rebuilding-related announcements in the near future.

Hello JB
What brings you to the Pebbles Discussion board?
T5
My gut told me the line was way off... USC defense is currently plagued with injuries, ASU defense continues to get stronger (Bill Miller has been a great addition), and then the heat. 99 degrees in Tempe means 105 down on the field.
This one was a no brainer for me. Can't say I'll be so successful next time...
T5
Any thoughts on the Oct 15 Notre Dame : USC game?
Yesterday was a good day... had big $$$ on ASU and now I have bigger $$$ for PBLS.
WIN - WIN Woo! Hoo!
T5
Hi All... another PBLS long and strong. Only game that matters to me, this weekend, is ASU/USC. Go Sun Devils!!
T5
Hi Matt!
Noticed 2 PBLS Boards (free). Second one set up 9/27. Isn't there some kind of rule about more than 1 free board per ticker?
T5
Thank you
Hey Matt!
Is it Happy Hour or something?
We need a clean up in aisle 5...

I reported a TOS violation to iHub admin... vulgarity. Matt may have already taken care of it

One of the best boards I've found for trading education and strategy is right here on iHub http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=4084 . Using the tips that SA and many of the posters have provided, I made over 20G this past week... on pinks! I just joined SA's live chat, today, and have already lined up my buys for tomorrow.
T5
Hi SA!!
First I have to tell you... of all the iHub boards, I've gotten the most from this one. I'll admit... before finding this board, I was a stock chart virgin. After reading through your lessons, I now feel like I can make some intelligent decisions for myself based on trends. I come here every morning, before the market opens, and scan through the posts so I can lay out my plan for the day.
Thank you for being so generous with your gifts!
What do you think the charts show for PBLS over this next week?
T5
How about temporarily making it the "Board Spotlight" off of the home page so more people will know about it?

OT: My company develops a web based event calendar for clients. The tool requires that a zip code be entered for each event created. If the user doesn't know the zip code, we provide a link to the USPS ZipCode Lookup tool and auto-populate the zip code field with the selected value. When someone performs a search on all events, they can choose to enter a request within 5, 10, 25, or 50 miles radius of a chosen zip code. The tool works well and returns a very accurate list.

UPDATE: Apple, Cingular, Motorola In ITune Cell Deal
9:44 AM EDT August 30, 2005
By Dow Jones
SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones) -- Apple Computer Inc. has reached a deal with Cingular Wireless to offer a Motorola Inc. cell phone that will play tunes from Apple's ITunes Music Store, according to a media report Tuesday.
The announcement could come at a Sept. 7 Apple (AAPL) media event in San Francisco, The Wall Street Journal reported in its online edition. Apple and Cingular plan to market the phone in time for the holiday season, The Journal said.
The ITunes phone can play music transferred from a personal computer's ITunes music collection, The Journal said.
Officials at Apple, cell phone maker Motorola (MOT) and Cingular, a joint venture of SBC Communications Inc. (SBC) and BellSouth Corp. (BLS), declined to comment. The Journal said.

It just shows those Wall Street types have no fashion sense
IGTN had a great day... +15.79% at .022
It's still not too late to jump in... it's been a steady gainer. Wouldn't be surprised to see .025 tomorrow, moving up to .03 first of next week. Once audited financials are announced, should see some larger movement.

Interesting note on CRGO:
I tried to buy some through my online account, today (I use Charles Schwab). Got a message that I could not trade that security online... had to call.
I talked to a rep who told me that CRGO was on today's list of 'high risk stocks" and they strongly discouraged me from buying. Definitely wouldn't allow online trading of it.
When I asked for more details about the list, they said their risk department does daily assessments, based on market events and info from other sources, and determines if any particular stocks should be pulled from online trading... CRGO had just been added.
Consequently, I didn't buy.

You know he's J Haun, too? Is he (are they) getting the boot?
Nice of you to say, Phil!
When Maddog brought on Dennis, as the other assistant, I knew I was outnumbered. Their approach to managing the board is a little more "laid back" than mine. What did Maddog tell everybody to do about watchdog and anybody else who said something negative about NWAU? ... "Put them on IGNORE and they will go away"
Plus, I didn't enjoy being slammed from all sides (pumpers, bashers, and moderators) for removing posts. Many of the folks on that board are more interested in verbally assaulting each other than they are in learning anything about the company. I was ruining their fun!
It's amazing how perfectly nice people can become idiotic a-holes when they are anonymous behind a keyboard. LOL
T5
Very weird... now it's back to 1.09
Did anybody else see that?

I could make a meal out of the Barbecued Shrimp appetizer and a salad.
Oh yeah, and finish with the Bread Pudding.
True JB!
In IE, go to Tools in the top navigation and select Internet Options from the drop-down.
In the Internet Options "General" tab, go to History and click "Clear History", then "OK".
That should clear everything from the browser bar drop-down, except your default homepage.

CLRI :: given Dutton's Speculative Buy and the contents of their initial report, may want to reconsider that one
OR
you can wait for the Ruth's Chris IPO (week of 8/8)... YUM!
T5
Thanks for the info, Phil
Have a good weekend

Hi John!
I've seen your posts on BRVO board. I, too, have a strong position in that stock.
New5005, aka New2005, aka J Haun, aka <insert name here> is in the jailhouse. He posts under multiple aliases (iHUB violation) and I question whether he'll be out any time soon.
If you want to see anything changed in the FCCN iBox, I'd suggest you contact IH Admin MATT and ask to be added, as assistant, to the board so that you can make the edits.
T5
Did you see that Ruth's Chris Steak House is scheduled to go public, next week? Price Range: $15.00-$17.00 That's less than they charge for an appetizer.
Yummers...
shoulda... woulda... coulda...
Another ship left port without me.

Unless, of course, NWAU is taking steps needed to position Navicom as part of a full GPS solution. We would have something, then.
Excellent... thanks for the info
T5
Looking for some insight...
Anybody familiar with JM Dutton & Associates?
They just initiated coverage of Clearant (CLRI), with a speculative Buy rating and a $5.50 price target. Market response was somewhat positive.
I've checked out their web but am hoping for a more objective perspective.
Thanks
T5
New,
You need to join iHub and start your own board... "Who's New".
Then you and all of your alter egos (like new5005 and J Haun) could carry on a conversation out in the open. I'm sure you're getting tired of all those voices in your head.
T5
Wow!! That was an easy one!!
You would think if someone was going to have multiple aliases, they'd do a better job of covering up their tracks. This guy leaves bread crumbs to follow
LOL
T5
Doesn't look like this debunked a whole lot.
Correction to your statement They will own every vehicle after they have a buyer.: If a title has a signature on the back releasing the vehicle to Sunburst, that means it's their car. They offer to show a title (with proof of release to Sunburst) to my son before he even showed interest in actually putting any money on it.
Correction to your statement I’m sure JalopenoBuck knows other wholesalers who did the same thing.: This is not a wholesale operation. It's not like Adesa.
Clarification on your statement I personally used to take vehicles there to be sold.: Did you take them to Sunburst? Did you release the title at the time you took them over?
You sure about that? I believe they can show up in uniform and use their official cars. Seen it done tons around here...
BTW: I live in Phoenix
In AZ, they don't have to title them, first... they just have to show a title release on the back (I think one title allows up to 6 separate releases or a specificed time period before it has to be re-titled.) In the case of a used car dealership, they usually don't go to the expense of a re-title on a car that they think they can flip quickly. They wait till it's been purchased to go do the MDV thing. Signature release (on back of title) is legally binding.
I'm interested to hear what your local car auction says... just remember, this isn't really a car auction house, like Adessa. This is a 'sale to the public car lot' that uses an auction concept... Adessa does that in very few cities (only 6 that I know of.) Sunburst gets their cars from individuals, banks, and small- to medium- car dealerships that wholesale auction houses, like Adessa, won't even talk to. There is a good chance we are looking at B-box, salvage, and repo titles... but if they announce to the buyer, it's legal.
T5
That's an easy one... you can pay any off duty Phoenix, Chandler, or Tempe police officer to provide security at an event.
I doubt the department sent them out.
T5
He can afford it... he won't do it "on principle." He'll try to argue his way out... screaming that his rights have been violated, he's being censored, and he's gonna sell all the shares of any stock he's ever owned until he's released.
If all else fails, he'll entrap Matt into doing what he wants by boring him with his incessant rhetoric.
LOL
