I remember you. You seriously got involved with these guys after what Inergetics did to you? You are aware that their management went to work for TRTC immediately after they finished scamming you out of your money? Your profile says something about TRTC is "your top play" or something!
I barely ever look at this board because it disgusts me. But the very worst thing of all is to see Inergetics investors losing money to TRTC now.
I just want to remind everybody there are thousands of other things you can invest in.
I read somewhere that one thing that would explain his sudden stock-buying freeze is that maybe a major deal is in the works, that legally forces Frost to stop buying and selling. How nice would it be if Opko was bought out soon for a nice markup? It's probably wishful thinking. We'll see.
Nice way to start a reply to me. "DUH... someone who knows nothing???" I didn't even say someone who knows nothing. I said "some guy you never heard of." Good luck, fellow OPK shareholder. I hope it works out in the end for us. I am aware of everything you have said, because I follow the stock closely. And I do understand your concerns with OPK. They are completely legitimate.
And they're going to bring in some guy you never heard of, and Opko health is going to turn it all around in 2 years, and make us rich? That's what you want? That's what you sound like you want.
The reasons for my defense of him are simple. Frost's brilliance at creating biotech companies and then selling them for massive profits is proven. And I do believe that he is wiser with age, and absolutely not losing his mind like some people imply. I mean, just listen to him speak any time.
And the other reason I defend him is that it takes many years to create a biotech megacorp. And Frost and his employees are absolutely not sitting on their hands. They're working on it. Moves are clearly being made.
There is no guarantee in the stock market. If you don't want to wait for the years necessary to create a biotech megacorp, then don't. But you're picking on the wrong CEO.
No way. The only reason I'm here is for Phillip Frost. Sell your shares if you want.
I believe that the lower the stock price goes, the more of a screaming long-term buy and hold OPK becomes.
I bet pretty heavy with options that OPK won't be under 6.00 in September and again in December, so it looks like I might get 1000s of shares assigned to me at 6.00. I'm OK with that. I still believe in Opko becoming very successful eventually.
Sorry to respond to an old post, but what has the SEC been doing that impresses you? There is a small list of scam stocks similar to LIBE that I follow for sporting reasons, and the SEC hasn't bothered any of them! A couple of them were pretty blatant about stealing investor money, and there have been plenty of "whistleblowers" who can't even get a simple response to their complaints to the SEC.
No, I can tell by your sarcasm that you don't get it. They're not even going to get in any trouble for taking your money. Everything they are doing is legal. Keep watching carefully and in the coming months/years you will see how dangerous TRTC's management is.
Buying shares of TRTC is not an investment in CA and NV marijuana sales. It is a gamble that this management group isn't stealing all of their investors' money this time around. With the tens of thousands of things that you can use your money to invest in, you all choose to invest in TRTC's scammy management team.
I know what the next step is. Now I think you should peddle a NRTI class action lawsuit to securities lawyers until you get some interest. Just because my guy didn't want it is no reason to get discouraged. He's a busy guy and he's currently preparing a big lawsuit against Charles Schwab.
You have already outlined the case well, and you should let potential lawyers know that fact. We are looking for someone to take the facts that you outlined and present our case. Between your loss, and a few people from this board, we're talking about representing serious 6-figure money.
TRTC just diluted itself on Friday, and I doubt very many TRTC holders are even aware of it. They don't even know how to find out!
Thats not a lot of money. Who is eligible to receive a piece of that? Would shareholders be contacted automatically, or do we need to take action in order to make a claim? Thank you for staying on top of this for the forum.
Dr. Frost has already created a biotech corporation, built it up, and sold it for a very big profit. It was called Ivax corporation. I believe that is exactly what he is doing again with Opko Health. Opko does seem to be following the same formula for success. When the time is right, and the hard work of making a great company is done, I think Opko will be bought for a huge return on investment.
Revenue of $357.1M (+742.2% Y/Y) beats by $33M.
Q2 EPS of $0.02 beats by $0.05.
Real nice growth!
The people who run TRTC sure get paid a ton of money to run their "not for profit" organization. The only people who aren't allowed by law to make a profit here are the shareholders. Well, you can make a profit off of that whole Edible Gardens aspect of the business. But you won't. TRTC will always incur just enough expenses and salaries to ultimately scam you.
Have you tried to get somebody on the phone at the SEC? I have been thinking that you're going to have to attempt that. Maybe start here https://www.sec.gov/about/offices/inspector_general_contact.shtml
I would keep calling people and find out who you can talk to who will actually listen and help. The SEC has sort of asked for this kind of aggressive behavior by not responding at all to complaints made online.
Thank you. People like Michael James need to be held personally responsible for their actions. Meaning, his personal assets need to be distributed to the people who he has defrauded.
Just in case anyone isn't aware of this, every small cap biotech with negative earnings is getting absolutely slaughtered since January 1. It's not some kind of "Opko Health stock problem."
Maybe we are headed lower. I don't know. But if OPK keeps getting dragged down with the other "speculative biotech stocks," OPK is going to get to blowout sale levels.
Opko just reported positive earnings last quarter, and I expect OPK to get more and more respect as time goes on.
I feel like at least 20% of regular posters who lost money here are investing in Terra Tech. They really have no ideas for what to invest in, do they? It's such a huge, amazing world that we live in, with so many reasonable investment opportunities.
Maybe I have an advantage that I have personally been involved with a few Michael James type characters. Because I understand that it is really hard to accept that other people can steal your money in such an ice cold manner. But people need to understand, Michael James does not think like normal people do. He does not care about stealing money from people. He doesn't care if you lost all your money, and he has it now. Or else he would never run Inergetics like he did.
At the very least there would be lots of communication about where things went wrong, and some kind of apologetic tone to those communications. You have to look critically at what happened with NRTI. For one thing, if you appeared to be a blatant pump and dump share selling scheme, not many people would handle the situation with complete silence. Well, except for people just like the thieves I have known.
So when you see James getting a $500,000 bonus from Terra Tech, a company that is dying for cash, that should be enough reason to run right there. We should know by now that he's a professional thief. Why would anyone follow him to his next trick?
If you put normal people in charge of Terra Tech, or Inergetics for that matter, it would probably succeed. That's the sad irony to all this. But these are not normal people, and they don't care about you or your money.
It's simple. Terra Tech is BS also. It's NRTI on a bigger scale. There are a lot of clues to it, and getting involved with Michael James is one of the bigger ones. There's also the huge bonuses ($500,000 just as bonuses) they are paying themselves while the company itself is in dire straights for money, the insider selling, that infamous lawyer they use, oh yeah- the not for profit profits, the vacant lot in Nevada instead of a dispensary. Honestly, I don't even remember half of the Terra Tech warning signs I have read. There are some good ones. Luckily, I've got like, a lot of other stuff on my mind.
I put 6 limit orders in for different stocks last night, thinking they weren't going to trigger today. The only one I got was OPK at 7.61! Hopefully, this time it's the bottom because it is my biggest position again. It's messed up because I also got really lucky to catch a dip at 8.85 a couple of months ago, and that turned out to be nothing special.
I feel really good that OPK in the 8's is a great long term play!
That would be a lot of 4K score tests if it becomes customary to give them to all men age 50-75 as part of their regular checkup. This is yet another piece of Opko's bright future. Opko has really been releasing a lot of positive news lately.
And that's exactly what people said the whole ride down. Every day of the week.
I have been trying to not post negativity too much. I think I'm just in a bad mood because stocks have been having a really bad week. Today my portfolio is down 2.3%. I honestly like a few of the people who I met who hold NRTI, and I wish nothing but the best for them.
I have been saying that there is toxic financing present, and that this stock is going to .0001 since 100 percent stock price ago. Yes, NRTI has lost 99.something percent since I started saying it. You're going to tell me I'm wrong NOW? Did it occur to you that maybe I'm still right?
NRTI has at least $200,000 worth of toxic financing still outstanding. The only thing up for debate is why it's not sitting on the ask right now. I think the answer is that no one is buying anyways, and NRTI is that close to no bid, that there is no point in trying to sell shares right now. I saw them dump 81,000 shares earlier this week, so the financiers are present.
If you guys somehow manage to manipulate some kind of momentum in the share price, the toxic financiers will be back instantly.
If you were a toxic financier who invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into NRTI, you would be chomping at the bit to get it back as fast as you can. I bet they're getting a little impatient, wanting to dump new shares hard and fast. I mean, it's been weeks since they could dump anything significant and get away with it.
That is pretty much that generic post that can be found across Ihub, on every single penny stock. And then, months later it turns out that post is so wrong. Hey, I guess it could be different this time.
You could have included the line about weak hands selling their shares though.
I remember that you offered to personally turn the company around. I think you could have. Personally, I believe NRTI is, and always was just a share selling scheme. But with a guy like you helping out, it didn't need to be. Inergetics could have sold CBD products with the right management in place.
A few posters kind of belligerently said that you should stop talking about helping run Inergetics because it would never happen. They said stuff like "they're not going to hire someone from Ihub." Well, one of the stocks I follow on here did just that. Liberated Energy LIBE was having huge problems, and the CEO has hired one of the Ihub posters to help turn the company around. The CEO's username is Winters, and the Ihub member is named Chidoc50.
I think LIBE is done, but at least they tried. And my main point is that Inergetics management most definitely could have respected you and your ideas. You tried so hard to call and email them to help them out with plans.
I know this was something very important to Opko. They've been talking about it for a while. Anybody have any idea of how profitable they are expecting this to be? I vaguely remember that Dr. Frost had a basic idea of how many of these tests he was expecting to see administered.
Basically, how big is this news?
OPKO Announces Third Quarter Financial and Operating Results
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/opko-announces-third-quarter-financial-211300238.html
Consolidated Revenue Increased to $143.0 Million From $19.8 million for the Three Months Ended September 30, 2015, and Increased to $215.5 Million from $65.6 Million for the Nine Months Ended September 30, 2015.
Opko made a positive $0.25 earnings per share for the quarter ending September 30.
As of 4:28PM, Opko is up 3.52% in afterhours trading.
I got into Opko a long time ago, and sold my shares at $9 after a really nice profit, so I missed that big run to $18. But now I'm back and very happy with the direction this company is trying to go. I really like the repeated insider buying too.
Thank you. I try so hard not to take it for granted. People fall into certain lifestyles and things become normal and boring. But I am so grateful to get up at 2PM, and do whatever I want all day at age 38.
Everybody here can take or leave my advice, but my advice on all stocks that are trading this low is to only mess with them if you have some kind of insider information. That can come in different forms- maybe it's just as simple as following a poster or 2 on Ihub who seems to have insider information. Those guys who were here on October 30 seemed to really know what they're doing.
But if people think they're going to look at charts, and say "wow, this is REALLY oversold," I believe they will lose money in stocks like NRTI in the long run. And remember, dilution destroys stock prices.
I think I bought into NRTI for 33 or 34 thousand dollars a year ago. I don't remember the exact number. I lost about half of it before I sold. I'm not sure how much the loss was exactly either.
I'm not like multi- multi millionaire. I'm just comfortably living off investments.
I have really studied penny stocks pretty hard in the past 12 months. Before that I had stayed away. And I agree with you that it's really hard to find one that doesn't act something like NRTI. That's probably why we're having so much trouble getting the SEC to look into this. NRTI fits right in with all the other scams, share selling schemes, and fraudulent attempts to mislead investors.
But here's the thing. We don't have to play. We don't have to pick a penny stock that doesn't seem as scammy as the others. I have a long list in my head of things I want to invest in, and things I want to get involved in, and penny stocks aren't even on the list anymore.
You don't have to listen to me, but I did retire in my 20s. Through it all I have lost more than a million dollars on bad investments, and believe me, I've learned from it. Now I'm into real estate, NYSE stocks, and brick and mortar businesses.
It's really, seriously disgusting watching all these posters try to pump this share price up. Why? Because it is enabling both Inergetics management and Magna Group to make money selling shares.
If everyone would just ban this stupid stock already, there wouldn't be any further support for this scam.
But no. People just have to play with NRTI when there are thousands of other stocks to choose from. And on top of what I already said, it's just complete degenerate gambling. Will Magna Group dilute hard next week, or will they take the week off? No one knows for sure. But degenerate gamblers are lined up to bet on it!
If they dilute today, you lose. If they don't dilute today, the share price might go up a little bit. The only thing we know for sure is that sometimes they dilute, and they will dilute again soon. And, yeah, Inergetics management and Magna Group would like to thank you for playing.
That's the interview I was refering to.
I think the share price has tanked because the Bio reference labs purchase was made by diluting the o/s with something like 1.2 billion dollars worth of new shares. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this.
Hopefully OPK doesn't see any further dilution. It's kind of a crazy move for Frost to dilute a stock that he owns so much of. Let's hope he knows what he's doing. I have been repeatedly impressed that he does know what he's doing. He actually said on Mad Money that he thinks bio reference is the best company he has ever bought.
Are you saying there was no toxic finance share dumping last week? If that's not what you're saying, then what are you arguing about? Also, you think they were just dumping for a couple of days and they're going to stop again? Maybe, but that's not how Magna has been known to operate.
Also, I obviously meant "created" in the sense that it increased the o/s from 852 million. I'm not sure why you're arguing semantics.
I think the share dumping is back. If I'm right, it looks like 4 million new shares were created and dumped on Friday. This dumping may have started earlier in the week, and that would make sense, because the share price crashed.
There is a tiny chance I'm wrong about this. But I no longer consider NRTI a buy.
It's messed up- the program I use to keep track of stocks wasn't working properly this week. Just when I took my eye off NRTI, the dumping came back, and I didn't notice.
I am loading the boat right now. I had a decent sized buy order in for $8.85 and I'm very happy I got it. Opko is now officially my largest holding. I was trying to stick with blue chip stocks, but I couldn't resist. I'm a huge fan of Dr. Frost. (If that makes me a nerd, I'm OK with that.)
