Discussions. That's what SWET's good at. I doubt its "technology" is applicable to this and I double doubt that Ron will pursue any funding through this FOA.
Precisely. To get rubes thinking just like that.
Again, that just made no sense whatsoever.
So, Pickett gave himself some more shares in lieu of salary. What’s your point?
Say what?
And you don't see the major flaw in your statement?
That you know of, yes indeed
Thing of it is, most people don’t make decisions based on taxes. Don’t get me wrong, they’ll structure business ventures to take full advantage of the tax code, but the tax code is not usually the driver for a go no go on an investment or business decision. There still has to be a good business reason to move forward.
They may. I’ll believe it when I see it
Name one
Ho-hum ... another letter of intent -- excuse me, letter of interest -- filled with goodness knows what contingencies to fund the tower of power. Well, we do know one of the contingencies ... all SWET has to do is secure $250-$300m in equity.
Does it and, even if so, does it show that it's more than what it takes to produce it?
Kind of speaks volumes to me
You continue to skip over the fact that the testing that's allegedly been performed here was minimal at best. I don't see how what SWET did can realistically be called a "validation" or how one can possibly extrapolate it out as claimed.
I don't claim to be a scientist or to have inside information on whether this thing will work or not, but I do know that SWET went for years saying you couldn't prototype it you just have to trust the computer modeling and then, all of a sudden, hey we can prototype it on any old smokestack and then wham bam thank you maam, after a few days of "testing, no tunnels, no turbines, it's "validated"?
Keep the blinders on if that makes you sleep better at night.
Did they though?
So, a former local Wilmington weatherman is their top guy on this project? I hope he didn't talk like this when he was giving the weather forecast
I believe he was referring to M. Pickett’s day job selling real estate. But to the real point , no, you don’t run off on a cruise at the point in time where you’re supposedly demonstrating the bona fides of something. If nothing else, it’s demonstrative of a lack of seriousness of purpose.
So, this project is so important that M. Pickett had time to cruise off to Cuba ... check out the twitter feed for some cool pics! Looks like he’s really devoting his full time and attention to this project. And I can’t wait for the video to come out. After all, video is way more important than professional testing conducted over weeks and months in all sorts of weather conditions.
Wait just a minute! There’s the repurposed stack prototype which is powering ... oh wait ... nevermind.
So, SWET's run this thing for how long -- a couple/three weeks -- and it's declaring its "testing" successful and it's ready to prepare a report? Really? We've heard that it created an air conditioner and seen the video of the napkin blowing in a breeze but has the wind it's allegedly generated traveled through a tunnel, powered a turbine and actually generated power? Inquiring minds should like to know.
Just go back and read the Qs and Ks SWET used to file.
Like I said, I wouldn't get too excited about the prospect of the DOE coming up with funds, much less big dollars for this thing.
Why do you think nobody built it? And
So good ... I didn't miss anything.
Maybe I wasn't reading closely enough. I saw the part where the PR discussed the big air conditioner it's turned the smokestack into
Per Solar RePurposing's Twitter:
It was magic (from @RePurposing):
Except that there are no results to extrapolate!
But, more to the point, why come out with this now? Just when it looks like maybe, just maybe, SWET's going to do something the way it should be done, i.e., perform real world testing, it comes out with this BS based on computer modeling by goodness knows who: SWET
Thanks for posting what was already posted at #16594
And what does oxygen have to do with breathing!?
That or Ron's just spewing bull****
Hard to see how the writer could've gotten it wrong, i.e., new construction vs. retrofit of a utility smoke stack. The article is quoting Ron
What makes sense to me would be to run these tests in desert conditions such as the proposed tower of power will purportedly operate and certainly not in a completely different environment. But that's just me.
Implode is more like it.
Isn't that an updraft tower? I thought this was a downdraft tower.
Good luck with that. And just how many days are they planning on testing this thing. One day where it happens to be in the 90s and not also humid does not an adequate test make.
But this article doesn't talk about a retrofit ... the article says that
And then get out with the next pump ... I mean good news PR ... right? SWET's pretty clearly peaked off the latest PR and is clearly back on the downward slide to .0003/.0004 (and possibly .0001 where it really belongs). Cheap shares available today but cheaper ones in the coming days. Smart money sits on the sidelines.
