LOL from an epic 3 set show, "Wave that flag, wave it wide and high" and now a show with 15 songs. Wow, a Day job to close the first set, a polkamatic favorite. LOL It so much fun to reminisce
about your posts. Pure fun, you are the best of the web. Love the ticket stub links, and time specific photos.

Grateful Dead Archive Lands Spot at McHenry
May 1, 2008
Rod Bastanmehr
Arts Reporter
After nearly three years of negotiations, countless school biddings, and a treasure trove of memorabilia that spans 30 years, the verdict is finally in — legendary Bay Area band the Grateful Dead has handed its entire archive over to none other than the home of the Banana Slugs.
And for a school that takes pride in keeping its campus and community “weird,” the match couldn’t be any better.
“I can’t even express how fucking thrilled I am,” said Holly Erlingson, a UC Santa Cruz second-year and “Deadhead.” “It’s remarkable how perfect a fit it is — the campus and their music. It’s really like it was meant to be.”
If only it had been that simple. It was over two-and-a-half years ago that UCSC made an initial inquiry about the status of the archives, and nearly a year and a half after that the discussions actually began. At that point, both UC Berkeley and Stanford University had thrown their hats into the ring, but ultimately, the remaining members of the band chose UCSC as the home of all things “Dead.”
The items range from the band’s first recording contract and press clippings to every show’s guest list and backstage passes. The archive even houses the thousands of decorated envelopes that fans sent to the ticket offices, as well as the infamous skeletons from the “Touch of Grey” music video. And that’s barely even the tip of the “Dead” iceberg.
“Before the decision was made to give the archives to UCSC, [McHenry Head of Special Collections] Christine Bunting and I visited the Grateful Dead Production’s business manager and had a chance to see the archive,” said university librarian Ginny Steel.
“We then sent a proposal in that provided information about how the archive contributes to the academic programs on campus and how we would process and preserve it,” Steel said.
But there was much more that led to UCSC winning the bid. Not only were both the band and UCSC byproducts of the mid-’60s revolution, but there have also been lectures taught by band members, radio programs centered on the Grateful Dead, and classes devoted to the studying of the band and the “Deadheads” — the name given to the band’s die-hard fan base that, even today, remains remarkably unmatched in music history.
Having a campus professor who has written three books, as well as collaborated on many projects with Mickey Hart, the band’s drummer, couldn’t have hurt either.
“I got to know the Grateful Dead and their music when I began a long-term partnership with Mickey Hart shortly after my arrival at UCSC in 1983,” said Fred Lieberman, professor of music at UCSC. “Mickey sought me out to help him catalog his large collection of percussion instruments from around the world.”
And the rest, as they say, is history. But at the end of the day, it was more than just connections with the band and a large campus fan base that brought the entire legacy of the Grateful Dead to the campus. For Steel, the “Dead” and the Slugs are matched together not by university politics, but by a common perspective of the world.
“Santa Cruz in general shares an outlook that matches well with that of the band,” Steel said. “We share the same worldview as the band and are committed to social justice, inclusiveness and equality.”
But housing the Grateful Dead archives may give UCSC more than just bragging rights. The university’s eventual goal is to become one of the foremost centers for contemporary and American vernacular music research, Bunting said. That’s something for which UCSC is already slowly but surely gaining recognition.
“The UCSC music department has long offered a rigorous bachelor’s degree program that rivals or exceeds those offered at other UC campuses,” Lieberman said. “Our recently established graduate programs offer tremendous promise and are in great demand.”
Still, maybe the Grateful Dead and UCSC simply are a perfect match. The uniqueness and pride in its strange essence is exactly what connects the band to an establishment — the very thing that the band rebelled against.
“There is something beautiful about the way [UCSC] embraces its difference and originality,” said Keelin Garcia, daughter of the late Jerry Garcia, the Grateful Dead’s former lead singer and guitarist who passed away due to a heart attack in 1995. “They have always understood how they’ve been regarded as somewhat alternative, even radical. I think that finding comfort in that difference is really wonderful. It’s very in keeping with the band.”
Regardless of the fit, what it comes down to is housing the artifacts of a musical revolution, and celebrating a band that is arguably one of the most influential in music history.
“We are proud to have this new archive that will provide insights into one of the most — if not the most — significant contemporary musical group of the second half of the 20th century,” Steel said.
“The Grateful Dead created a community like no other,” Erlingson said. “Santa Cruz takes such pride in its community — it feels like it’s just a perfect fit. It feels like they’ve been here all along.”

My pleasure, sir Bullwinkle. Looks like the market may rally due to seasonality, which is as specialty of the fat cats board (Serfdom is another favorite). Even though the fed dilutes the currency with low rates, one way or another the politicians may create a sense of economic prosperity during the election cycle. It reminds me of the post I mentioned of how international bankers have taken over the boom and bust cycles. The moneymasters.com stuff, we know things are bad, but the market rallies. Have a wonderful evening.
My clients were the money down crowd, and some went stated. I seem to gravitate toward people like myself. Yes, now they must show documentation, which can make it more difficult for anyone who is an independent contractor, but a least if they can afford the payments, and show their tax returns and good credit, they can get a new loan.
Those who can not, will be adding their homes to the market, and maybe should not have purchased in the first place, or like myself had their income drop, and can not perform.
I think like the dot.com boom, the second home speculators are long gone, like the stock flippers of the late 90's. If speculators show up in huge droves, which I speculate they won't due to documented loan programs, and better underwriting criteria
Then this round of interest rate cuts will allow those who can make the payments, keep the payments for a much longer time now, and stay in their homes.
I also believe that everything happens for a reason, and turns out for the best.
The big question for most of the refinances is the appraisal, and that does affect the "equity in their home question", as that number keeps dropping.
OK, and thanks for the links, my point is those who can afford their current payments will be able to refinance now in the 5.25-75% range, rather then flooding the market with more homes. I also agree that some of the homeowners stated their income, and did not make that money, could be considered bank fraudsters. I sell real estate, and my income dropped as I recommended people not buy homes last year. So, no fraud with me, just a wipe out of my savings, and in a huge increase in our credit card payments. I agree that prices will slide, and no more living off of the equity line, but as long as people can afford the payments, they will stay in their homes.
You are a huge help, with more then my home. I was very aware of the real estate issue, as I live in California, practice real estate, and purchased the biggest home I could afford, in November 03 at 3.75% interest rates.
I was a bit of a speculator, and was surprised when the fed raised rates 17 times in a row, and blew me out.
When I could not get an offer all of last year. I recommenced to potential clients that came into my open houses that they wait to buy a home last year, as I speculated that prices were declining due to the high payment programs.
I do believe that raising the conforming limits will make a huge difference in the California real estate market, as many of my clients and friends that were able to make their old payments in the 5.25-5.75 range, will now be able to reset their mortgages now that the limits have risen, this will put less homes on the market, and save those people that can make those payments.
I just wish the fed did this last year, as I would have saved almost $100,000, however for those still standing this is huge in California.
I read a post here from one of your followers that posted a moneymasters.com video link, it was so revealing to why the fed is slow to react. I did not know before this wonderful post that the fed is a private for profit bank, if we had smart politicians instead of a private for profit bank issuing our currency, then maybe we would have seen the rate cuts sooner then later.
I have never been late on my payments, and although I never borrowed more then 80% of my homes value, I was still short as the home crashed over 20% in a one year period, and I sold the home for $250,000 under a September 2006 re-fi appraisal, in December of last year.
With the new conforming loans, I would have been able to find a buyer last year much higher, and would not have had to wait all year for a buyer.
I think your posters along with Jim Cramer were very good at letting the public know the truth.
We only lost our savings and we are young, but if a big depression comes, my wife and child can say, hey we are used to it already, get with the program. LOL
Bullwinkle, I do not post much due to my poor trading history on I-hub. I would like to ad I love your posts and commentary. I have been reading your board since, I think around 2006. Thank you very much, your board is my favorite board. Keep posting away, your board does the same for me, after I watched my home drift away last year, as it does when you listen to Lou Dobbs. LOL If I ever had anything to ad to your comprehensive posts, I would, but I just read and enjoy, except for tonight.
Very Warm Regards,
Up
Ha, ha what a joke this Alan and family is, they said when they where xtms, that they were fighting naked shorts, and making Chinese Olympic cars, and adding dealers, along with a June 07 article in the Bakersfield Californian. They claimed they were reducing shares to 500 million from 900 million and no RS, only to increase the count to 1 billion. Now a new ticker, and more B.S. of course jen8554 you were here to witness the B.S. What a crock of B.S. Nothing but printing shares, I hope someone with money puts a stop to this promotion scheme, and puts them away. The government does not care, and these schemers know it. Maybe the Bakersfield Californian, can do a follow up story on their success in creating a military sand car on paper, while they pay there salaries with promotions shares. Buyers be freekin ware for gods sake.
Post 33483, waiting for the price to go up before I have to liquidate due to California Real Estate problems, I hope the price goes up first. RH is to blame for his contract PR's, before he noted his patent dispute with Bio to public investors.
The Grateful Dead - "Throwing Stones" with the Gnomes

"Singing 'someone got to turn the page'"
The Annotated "Throwing Stones"
Picture a bright blue ball, just spinning, spinnin free,
Dizzy with eternity.
Paint it with a skin of sky,
Brush in some clouds and sea,
Call it home for you and me.
A peaceful place or so it looks from space,
A closer look reveals the human race.
Full of hope, full of grace
Is the human face,
But afraid we may lay our home to waste.
There's a fear down here we can't forget.
Hasn't got a name just yet.
Always awake, always around,
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Now watch as the ball revolves
And the nighttime falls.
Again the hunt begins,
Again the bloodwind calls.
By and by, the morning sun will rise,
But the darkness never goes
From some men's eyes.
It strolls the sidewalks and it rolls the streets,
Staking turf, dividing up meat.
Nightmare spook, piece of heat,
It's you and me.
You and me.
Click flash blade in ghetto night,
Rudies looking for a fight.
Rat cat alley, roll them bones.
Need that cash to feed that jones.
And the politicians throwin' stones,
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
[Bridge:]
Commissars and pin-stripe bosses
Roll the dice.
Any way they fall,
Guess who gets to pay the price.
Money green or proletarian gray,
Selling guns 'stead of food today.
So the kids they dance
And shake their bones,
And the politicians throwin' stones,
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Heartless powers try to tell us
What to think.
If the spirit's sleeping,
Then the flesh is ink
History's page will thus be carved in stone.
And we are here, and we are on our own
On our own.
On our own.
On our own.
[Instrumental]
If the game is lost,
Then we're all the same.
No one left to place or take the blame.
We can leave this place and empty stone
Or that shinin' ball we used to call our home.
So the kids they dance
And shake their bones,
And the politicians throwin' stones,
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
[Bridge two:] Shipping powders back and forth
Singing black goes south and white comes north.
In a whole world full of petty wars
Singing I got mine and you got yours.
And the current fashion sets the pace,
Lose your step, fall out of grace.
And the radical, he rant and rage,
Singing someone's got to turn the page.
And the rich man in his summer home,
Singing just leave well enough alone.
But his pants are down, his cover's blown...
And the politicians throwin' stones,
So the kids they dance
And shake their bones,
And it's all too clear we're on our own.
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Picture a bright blue ball,
Just spinnin', spinnin, free.
Dizzy with the possibilities.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.
Ashes, ashes, all fall down.

Dark Hollow Lyrics
Artist(Band):Grateful Dead
I'd rather be in some dark hollow where the sun don't ever shine
Then to be at home alone and knowin' that you're gone
Would cause me to lose my mind.
Well blow your whistle freight train carry me far on down the track
Well I'm going away, I'm leaving today
I'm goin', but I ain't comin' back.
I'd rather be in some dark hollow where the sun don't ever shine
Then to be in some big city, in a small room, with you upon my mind.
Well I'm going away, I'm leaving today
I'm goin' but I ain't comin' back.
I see you have been in exile wise one. Welcome back
Lurkers miss you too. LOL
TOS, I have seen it on I-Hub every time a ticker changes. I-Hub has 1 board per topic. You could create a topic board like telemetrics, that probably would be acceptable.
The other board will eventually be deleted, and this board will change its name.
With all due respect, your name begs the question.
"I believe that the CRAM idea has potential"
Why?
TIA
That is how it ended up anyway. They knew they did not sign a contract, if the SEC is just about prosecution of companies, then so be it, but if it is about shareholder protection then disclose.
Not really because it is public information. I think that there is probably no wrongdoing by the government. But a rule should be put in for disclosure. It is common sense, the PR said the Contract was with the DHS, they sent a letter to the company, so tell the public. Whatever though, unless someone with money gets a bug to really do what's right for the public, nothing will change.
Oh I see, but it is a fact that Cyberkey received a letter from homeland security. My concern is why did DHS not tell the public?
Wow, who knows anything is possible. Sorry about your loss, in your case you would have been protected 100% by this rule. It was probably just normal business, but there should be a rule about public information.
Glad we can laugh about it. It is a fact they sent a letter, everything was public, why did we not know?
It is what it is. If there was no money in the first place, time is money and mine is gone. I do not believe the process will be able to return any investment, because my investment was based on current high sales and growth into past and new growth areas. If a patent exits then their is a small chance, but technology changes quickly.
What would be nice to see if some sort of rule was created, to minimize the time factor in getting the information that the government told the company to stop posting the contract PR. I think it was 5 months before I knew.
My take is if a company is public, and publishes a P.R. about a government contract, and that government agency denies the contract, then that information should not only be sent out in the form of letter to the company to cease and desist, but also in the form of a P.R. Why did it take the government 5 months to tell the public they sent a letter to the company? There should be a rule about this with public agencies, and companies. That would have really protected the investors, as the momentum grew for months while Jim switched gears to the marketing campaign and new products.

Lyrics
Firefly, can you see me?
Shine on, glowing, brief and brightly
Could you imagine? One summer day,
That same night be on your way
Do you remember? Hearts were too cold
Seasons have frozen us into our souls
People were sayin' the whole world is burning
Ashes have scattered too hard to turn
Upside out or inside down
False alarm, the only game in town
No man's land, the only game in town
Terrible, the only game in town
Passenger, don't you hear me?
Destination seen unclearly.
What is a man deep down inside,
What a raging beast with nothing to hide.
Upside out or inside down
False alarm, the only game in town
No man's land, the only game in town
Terrible, the only game in town
At the time I was appreciative that Hank came out, because I think he believed too. The promotion happened, but Jim raised the AS around CES, without delivering the audits discussed in 06. If it is an intentional effort, how the heck would his post prove that? Frank just contradicted himself on a message board, but the Company hired Frank. How much one has damaged anyone when trying to be transparent, is a question for the authorities. If reports come out this guy was malicious, I would not be surprised because of his background.
It is not a matter of who bought into the contract. All bag holders did. I found out about CKYS on Ihub, Hank posted he introduced the company to the military contact, then months later he says did not introduce the contract. He was a cheerleader when the Ads were not airing, and the New Year and CES was coming. He disappeared with his contest and an increased AS. His post about introducing the contact was justification for him selling his vendor shares. It was the earnings per share PR, the military.com, and military contact that was important to me, not B.A. Just earnings. I do not know what happened just my reasons for buying and holding, and this guy directly contradicted his story right here with me on this here thread. It's only a message board, but this guy was being transparent about who he was during his contest.
knowles,
I started purchasing shares after the late July 06 earnings announcement PR, and the promise of audited financials. I held in there with Jim's October 06 Shareholder letter, and was happy with the share price performance. When no AF's showed up before New Years, I was getting impatient waiting for results, but the new marketing was looking good, and I really liked that mascot advertising.
Hank was on board reassuring investors in December wishing them happy holidays, while we were still waiting for the financial s that were discussed during the summer of 06. Then Hank dropped this bomb.

Well all I see there is an issue, we have been profiling CKYS since June 2005, for 1 1/2 years and I went reasonable on the video, oner 2/3 rds of these shares are still held. We did the commercial first then video, introduced CKYS to Big Apple also the military contact, so if you think we were overcompensated, there would be little without my connections, thats the fact.
I was glad someone came along and finally after months gave some sort of verification about the military contact. Of course the Cyberkey products for sale at Military.com website, and those pictures of Jim with the Military brass were in my mind too.

Thanks Hank, I think you found a winner since June 2005. Nice DD on the military contract.
Notice my own conclusion that the contact leads to the contract"
No worries about the confusion though, I read back through the posts to see why I was confused.

I agree guys I am done, but one question? What have I even once posted that could be construed as getting people excited, telling info or anything of the like? NEVER, just answering what you all keep asking me..anyway we will announce the winners of the contest Monday, good luck all.
So, I think Hank meant people do not get excited about contests, and verification of Military contacts, while investing in a company that sells on Military.com. He must not understand investors.
If I remember correctly the AS was raised right after his contest, and then he disappeared for a while, until the stock crashed. And then he claimed.

I am here to state the obvious, I did not introduce him to the contract, I introduced him to Big Apple. I did a commercial and video via my site, I invested money into this company. When we were at the office Mr. Plant showed me what looked to be a contract. I am also interested in the class action lawsuit. If anyone wishes to speak to me please e-mail me.
Thanks

YOu said you introduced him to the contact, so BA was the military contact now? Check your own post as to what you said, post #35851
It does not surprise me that Hank has now plead guilty for defrauding investors in another case.

The point here - "hey, say I,m sorry for the people that paid 0.60$ for MY MISTAKES!!"
Here is one of my buys, still hold these shares.

UNSOLICITED TRADE MCCY 0.61 -9,150.00
Will be great to see the share price appreciate.
Great points telematics guru, I enjoy reading your skeptical points, it would be good to hear your positive points as well, you know speculation. Anyhow, what is missing in your post, is the Biocognisafe information that came after these announcements. This is when the stock crashed. Basically the "SDS Bruno Cram" is a new invention that works with other know products that you are a guru about, and probably Mr Shin as well. Optimists claim the Biocognisafe bankruptcy minimizes the patent dispute, but the market needs more proof, then buyers may speculate about contracts more often. Shareholders remember that the patent dispute came after Raphael's optimistic press releases. Obviously Raphael has made some big mistakes about publishing executed contract values without immediate verification. My guess is you are as ready as the rest of us for some real verification. Thank you for your participation and please let us know if you see something that would make a telematics guru say "hey, they may have a great invention".
Good news for rosebud05

Right on joe, thanks for the pictures and the update. Love the costumes, everyone looks like they are having a great time. :)
Nice to see some bid support. Go longs :)
You could be right. What do I know? So far his expansion is at shareholders expense. I use the PR's and what is available to all of us. I do not contact the company, as I will just hear a sales pitch to buy stock. The lenders of these companies usually want a bid to short to cover their loan, these lenders are usually related to the owners and the shorts. Alan should know who these guys are, but I always will give the benefit of the doubt unless I have the facts. Alan could have kept his business private, but went public for money and eventually a multiple. The lenders, or bond holders are first in line and really own the company. It looks like many of these CEO's are buddies with these lenders and just sell shares, and have multiple paper companies. Alan, is an experienced expert in this area form his past experience, but this is his family business. I wonder if his dad and brother told their friends to buy the stock? I wonder how much is now theirs? Look how many shares the family owned in the business plan on pinksheets. Everyone is either pissed or patient.
Lucky, when I read his business plan from last year on pinksheets.com XTMS, XMC whatever the last 2 tickers were, the company claims they sell recreational vehicles. This year Alan realized he needed government contacts, and that has never been posted to pinksheets.com. Since then any profits have been spent of R&D and salary IMHO, that is why no balance sheets. We did receive the government 35 million PR, but that was never in the business plan until this year. He is silent because he needed the extra funding (carmac) to get his government plan going, and it always seemed like a good idea to me for the long run. I averaged down on that contract. LOL
