We're all excited for the North American launch, which we should be. But lets not forget that there will still be a Europe and Asian Launch. These types of games in Asia particularly are even more popular. Tomorrow is just the start of more to come. It actually makes sense that they would spread out their launches so that they have time to adjust their servers if they need to as players increase. The next PR we see could be a update on downloads from North American launch and then telling us where the next launch will be. Imagine the same momentum building leading up to the release of the Asian launch?
I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. FRZT made this game and has a licensing agreement with PAWS Inc. Its not PAWS Inc's game. FRZT will earn revenue from this game and pay PAWS Inc whatever they are due from the agreement. So it is very much PAWS Inc interests to help promote the game which in turn generates large revenue for both company. Its very similar to the Pokemon company and niantic deal in which both companies greatly benefited.
In the fall Pokemon was still averaging $2 million a day. Take a look at my sticky. I broke down percentages of $2 million a day and what it might mean for PPS.
Game runs great!
Obviously we all want the stock to rise, but I can't stress the importance of this game working well and being ready for launch. I've been playing it and everything seems to be working great! That's important in the first few days because as the buzz on the game grows so will downloads, then revenue, the stock price will follow.
PS Just earned my first badge in the game
If you read the reviews it sounds like they were still working out some of the bugs. I can tell you from playing it that I've been able to collect coins, open chests and feed Garfield. I've also been able to set the food to bake in the oven and then i'll get notified when the food is ready... Seems to be working fine for me. The reason for a soft launch is to work out some of these things. It looks to me like they have. Yes I'm in the U.S.
Opening Screen:
Next Screen:
After that screen you start playing... Garfield will say random things in his voice at the opening like "Hey there... Oh its you..."
I would honestly leave out the shareholder part. You're telling a news organization about a new game that might go viral. Try not to make it sound like you have alternate motives. They are more likely to look into it if they think its a good story for a stories sake, not because people want to promote their stock.
I would think you'd also want to add #PokemonGO to get those players that already the pokemon game to also try Garfield GO.
I've been playing the game. No glitch, everything is running just fine.
I don't believe its too late. This Tuesday, June 13, is the Garfield Go release in North America. The days following that we'll all be looking for download numbers. I believe we'll also get a PR regarding a Europe and Asia release shortly after that. So those are some major catalysts to keep the momentum going. If the download numbers are outstanding than this could go explosive, more than anything we've seen so far. imo
I'm willing to bet that they did not do a world wide release all in one day to avoid some of the issues that Pokemon GO had where they went to a very wide release and had server issues handling all the new players. Releasing a in a systematic way will ensure that the servers are prepared for the large increase of players expected.
Something to consider... if they didn't believe that this had the potential to attract extremely large number of players than they would have just done a world wide release all in one day.
It was low 200s on Monday before anyone got here...
On what grounds? Where would you have possibly of heard that from? If you're going to make claims at least back them up.
All very true. I patiently wait for all the upcoming catalysts that will drive this PPS much higher! News on major US retailer, news on LCBO deal which makes us an international brand and brings us to 40% of the Canadian market, sales figures from Q2, continued sales growth into Q3 and Q4, entering other international markets... So much to look forward too! Though there is one stock I've invested in that is involved with a very famous, recognizable orange feline but who can resist CB?!?
How many other OTC stocks do you see the float decreasing? This one will be special!
Great post... I was thinking of doing one of these myself
board marks have doubled in the last 3 days. A lot of eyes looking at this one and for good reason!
This is just getting started! Great day and I can't wait to see what next week will bring! So many catalysts yet to come. June 13th North American launch. Europe and Asia launch soon to follow.
I'm looking forward to what today brings. One day closer to North American Launch. Europe and Asia and the rest of the world will be next!
Fair question. Who knows if it will reach the popularity that Pokemon did when it first came out. At that time they were making something like $18 million a day. That would be amazing here. However, Pokemon still makes about $2 million a day. Take a look at my sticky. I've broken down what could happen at various percentages of $2 million a day with $2 million being the high. I believe there is potential for Garfield GO to be very popular and profitable. For as popular as Pokemon is Garfield's FB page has nearly double the amount of followers. The comic is seen daily each day in over 111 countries. There is so much to reason to believe that this will be a very popular app.
So I guess the short answer is yes, I plan on staying after launch to see how it plays out, but I'm always reevaluating. If downloads are strong there is no reason to believe that Garfield GO wont make a lot of money.
Short lived? Its still making money and crossed the $1 billion dollar mark in total revenue earlier this year.

I'm in at .0003 :)
Had I known I could have made it down there...
I'm not going anywhere and until after the release at which time I will re-evaluate what's going on. Too many good things up and coming.
Launch is happening! Game is ready! I'm already playing it in the US.

I'm really not asking you to believe me. Do you own DD then get back to me. All the information is out there, I've posted it with referencing links. You just need to do a little leg work now.
That doesn't even make sense. Apple isn't producing this game, there is no reason for them not to allow it on their store.
In fact the game is completed and I can play it now; it runs smooth and looks great. Look at my previous post for screen shots!
My own Garfield GO Screenshots from Today!
Game is running great, Graphics looks fantastic! This is going to be awesome!
Augmented Reality - I signed a paper behind my phone for proof as the game was overlayed. Had I faced my phone upward it would have looked like Garfield was in my office instead of hovering over the piece of paper.
Looking great here!
I was here with you! Feeling great now! :)
Other publications since that time continue to confirm. Do your DD then you decide. I'm just trying to provide information as I find it.
"By 2002, Garfield became the world's most syndicated strip, appearing in 2,570 newspapers with 263 million readers worldwide; by 2004, Garfield appeared in nearly 2,600 newspapers and sold from $750 million to $1 billion worth of merchandise in 111 countries."
