Love your site and the stream of info. Keep up the good work!
What would you guess is an estimated timeline for a summary judgement? I assume it’s a grant/deny proposition at first..
Does the defendant have a say in granting one, or a “rebuttal”, etc?
If the Judge grants one, what’s a guess at a timeframe for granting, review and judgement?
Weeks, months?
TIA
That’s funny. I saw the date and assumed you posted last years letter.
Thank you for trying to keep us all informed. Easy mistakes to make, I think they’re fixing now as your link is 404.
I think the letter is very good. He says a lot of things that I would say, particularly about calming shareholders down and looking towards the longer view. I really believe these guys, that they’re trustworthy and truthful.
Of course time will tell but I feel a high level of confidence with this one. Looking forward to the shareholders meeting on the 28th.
That letter is one of several from last year, when they first launched after taking over the company.
It’s still good to review it though, and see how they’ve delivered on so much of what he promised in it. I think the best thing now is just to wait for the shareholder meeting. Clearly they are building up information to be released on that date rather than constantly disseminating new info. It will be exciting. I just wanted to let you know about the letter.
So that’s it.
Farewell and goodbye. It’s been a long bittersweet journey here.
My strongest emotion is I REALLY wish I had sold >$40.00… but hey.
SO ORDERED - The Chapter 11 case of AMR is hereby closed.
That’s a great post. I agree with every word.
Gosh I just love this stock!
Yeah, nothing but crickets. Not sure what the good news would be, but I’m still here. This seems to be a sideways trading play now. I try to keep my emotions in check because this little stock has broken my heart so many times. Damn, I should have bailed +$50.. :(
Yes. The most likely course is The State of Alaska takes this to Federal Court with NAK possibly joining them, as it winds it’s way to SCOTUS.
As permitting denial is effectively a road block to future development in this particular watershed, the stakes are high for the State as well as industry. Alaska made the unprecedented move of joining the appeal, which speaks clearly to their stake in this, and their low likelihood of backing down.
This process however, could be mired in the court system for years and the outcome is unclear. I am long, but realistic about the road ahead.
These criminals need to be locked up for this. It’s probably difficult to even calculate the money retail investors lost, or lost out on, yesterday.
If anything positive can be seen as coming from this (a leap), it’s uniting both sides of the aisle at least. “Hang ‘me high” I say.
Absolutely infuriating.
I agree with you 100%
I was about to post that.
The news of this actually broke over the weekend. And this article came out yesterday. So I’m thinking it’s already baked into the price.
This AH may be something else??
This brings up some very valid points. Thanks.
I was thinking the same thing.
Surely the State realizes a decline of Pebble is basically the beginning of denying mineral access to any claim in the area, as they’re all in or near the watershed headwaters.
Since the State attained (swapped) this land specifically for mineral development from the Federal Government, wouldn’t that amount to an unconstitutional “taking”? Alaska and any claim holders would deserve just compensation one would think.
Sure seems like this could be the “yarn starting to come out of the sweater”, and Alaska would want to have a voice in this.
Unbelievable the surge in hit pieces coming out this week. Another one on Seeking Alpha today.
Wonder what that’s about...
Check me on this. Looks like JG Flatt just transferred shares between holding entities. Everybody else listed executed warrants and purchased stock. Agree?
TIA
RFLMAO
Thank you! Needed that.
7 (painful) years and still holding strong.
Too many positives all lining up. I don’t believe in coincidences. The EO (both of them) seem almost directly aimed at Pebble.
GLTA
(like your thinking)
Thank you for posting this. That’s a fantastic real life opinion and observation, free and clear of speculation, propaganda or BS. Only someone like you could provide this. THANK YOU.
Hoping the new year brings progress to NDM and tides of good fortune to long-standing patient investors.
Office 2019.
Forever version
Working nicely. Mired in learning curve and reviewing backlog of ihub posts to bring my task completion level up. But fun work.
Again, thank you for patience and assistance. Questions to follow.
Ha. Yeah, I guess I'll find out.
It's just a mini PC, not very powerful. Bare minimums to run Office 2016. Perfect for what I'm doing and checking stock data. But Wifi and Bluetooth and HDMI in a small footprint. Couldn't pass it up.
Picked up a mini PC intel pro with window 10 and wifi for $90. Be here Tues.
Will start on the new (hopefully brief)learning curve when I download excel.
Will check in shortly.
Agreed. Great suggestion. I need to be cross platform anyway. I'm on it, and thank you.
Nice info, thank you for posting.
Curious if the EIS comes early, as the DEIS did and kind of surprised us. I see the EPA was granted a 30 day extension, so wondering when the release date will actually be, and if that's coinciding at all with the calls activity.
Watching it made my skin crawl.
That (former/disgraced) Rio Tinto guy was actually gloating.. what a complete a-hole. The political agendas of many of the Congressmen were so ridiculously on display, they weren't even trying to hide them... unreal.
Really appreciate the time you've given me, and the patience of others on this board who (hopefully) have not just muted us to avoid our lessons.
Awesome news about the new DCR releases btw Viola, thank you for those updates.
JLS; sorry, trying not to show my ineptitude on Excel and figure it out on my own. When I try entering variations of the formulas, my Mac version gives me all kinds of error messages. Trying to research and ask online for help. (while balancing rest of life simultaneously). Sorry for delays, don't want to exhaust your patience or generosity by leaning on you too heavy.
Give me another couple of days to try and plug formulas in and if I still fail I'll reach out to you.
Thank you again!
You do know that Huffman's Bill failed in the Senate, right? It's dead.
Just want to make sure postings have complete and accurate information for us all to make informed decisions on.
I've hit a roadblock unfortunately, as name manager is a wee bit different on my end. Tried entering your formulas, with SOME success. I only have 2 options: enter a "name in workbook", and "refers to". Little lost on which of the columns you provided me with to enter into name manager I should do.
Wow. That is brilliant. What a well stated article.
Great post, thanks for it.
Especially liked the part about Alaskans being used as extras in a drama and a photo op. Brilliant.
The data on my SR_CP chart (columns r-U) has no dates. So I made a chart pulling directly from the data sheet. I had asked in an earlier post how to populate dates, but didn't get a response. Unfortunately I've gotten so many posts, although all appreciated, the info i need is getting lost. I'm spending a lot of time going back and trying to find the posts i need.
I think it's best if I can start back a ways and walk forward through some of the missing formulas, etc,. I can easily remake a chart in a different style, and will experiment with candlestick shadows, etc. when I do.
You had posted earlier to reduce my data timeline. I have done that by just tweeting the axis', but i understand a drop down menu and formula will and should be necessary to do that automatically and toggle between dates. Can't get to that until chart is drawing data correctly though.
I had asked about the formula containing N/A and if that was the one that pulled dates onto sr_cp? I think that's a roadblock right now (date data). In the meantime I'm just using a simpler formula, the one I most commonly use to populate data between sheets: =sum(AAL!A29), sequentially.
Sorry, I think you misunderstood or I wasn't clear. You said you wanted me to show you my sheet. I was trying to display it in Ihub like you did yours. I know how to display it in Excel, thanks.
I did insert a ohlc bar chart on the SR sheet, but even though I sorted the data newest to oldest, it's displaying left to right, so the chart is inverted. I need to figure that out. I displayed the chart on the SR but used the data from the data sheet, as it has dates included on that sheet.
I'm dealing with rain issues/leaking here in the Midwest so I'm a little slow to update.
cool. Thanks
1) "You should also go ahead and fill in the Date column by installing a formula that reads it from a data sheet (then subtract a number to account for the different starting row). You can copy that from your most reliable stock symbol data sheet -- $SPX for instance. " Do I need data or formula in columns E or H? I have no formula for dates.
2) I assume you want the chart on the SR sheet, drawing data from columns R39-U39.
I'm using excel 2011 v14.7 (mac), it has some pretty user friendly chart menu options. Will try to figure out turning bar chart on side.
Got 13 months of data on data sheet, (just downloaded and imported from yahoo csv file, easy). Made macro to relabel but am doing it manually.
I took a screenshot of my file but it doesn't display.
Great! And thank you again.
The N/A formula, do I put that in cells E39 and H39? the same formula? It's looking for a D_sym which doesn't exist.
Also, I don't have a date formula from another data sheet, just making this one. Suggestion?
Thank you again.
Done. Thanks
Made the workbook, copied your layout, made a sort macro, got 13 months data sorted and labeled.
