Gary, it might help you to understand the historians that they are still fighting yesterday's battle and choose to remain blind to today's events.
The old saying that "there are none so blind as those who will not see" seems to be the appropriate and operative thought for them. The difficulty they are having with Swope's appointment is
doing them incalculable distress and harm since they are being hung by their own words vs. Swope's vaulted stature in the telecom world.
Keep the faith.
Rob
Cobra - Yet more good news. The presence of an Intel man on our board can't but help to make the cheese even more binding. I wonder
how the historians are going to spin this tidbit ?! LOL
Thanks for the heads-up.
I'm still here....
Rob
Cosmo, it may well be that the torrent of negativity has had it's
(? desired) effect upon the s/p.
Of course, I have no info in that regard, nor am I aware of any other machinations that might account for the slippage. I do believe that there is a lot of peoply playing the stock for its
short term gains, as well they might, if that is their wont.
I am sitting back for the long term, so chacon a son gout.
I believe that the s/p will not settle down until the company gives clear evidence of their commercial capabilities and is recognized as a bona fide telecom player. From my lips to...!!!
Rob
Buy__Low,
Those have been my experiences completely. My time is better spent elsewhere, rather thqn wade through their forest of dung, to put it impolitely but accurately.
Rob
Groove,
This latest bit of info (Brad's participation in the telecom meeting upcoming in October) serves two purposes - the news itself, of course, and giving the lie to all those who seem to deal with it by an advanced case of denial. We know that there are those who so respond (negatively) to whatever positive might be happening to RIM, but this piece of irrefutable news being similarly tossed into the waste bin serves only to further incriminate those who, by so doing, are guilty of innocent bandinage at best, and malicious perpetration at its worst. Frankly, their words have little meaning/import since the s/h's have what we before us. The historians cries in the wilderness are lost to eternity where they remain, twisting in the wind.
Rob
HopefulOne, your precis of the s/h
meeting is greatly appreciated. We also appreciate that you needed to limit yourself as to commentary and the restrictions necesarily present as to time allotment. Even with all of that, there was a sense of purpose that you `presented which was fulfilling
and instructive. Many thanks!
rob
Ozborne22, your take on RIM could easily have been part of an MBA exam. It was most welcome for its clarity and objectivity in your decision-making process. I think I may speak (see below for dissenting voices) for the readership in welcoming you and looking forward to any additionial commentary you might wish to make. Now, I'm also sure that there is a small minority scratching their collective heads as to how to win back those who no longer doubt the wisdom of investing in RIM (by virtue of your reasoned logic) and are now esconced amongst those of us who count ourselves as Rim s/h's.
Your pellucid logic gives the lie to those who would argue otherwise. Kudos!
rob
bigalan, Who CARES whether bashers, AKA historians, accept reality? They are SO immaterial to the company's future and to our
future!! The company has sales of its product. Period. End of sentence and beginning of RIM's
commercialization phase - what we have been waiting for. That others cannot recognize a train bearing down upon them is regrettable and will be painful to them should they fail to get of its way. We've been telling them about it for some time now. Join us or step aside. We are witnessing the truth of the matter. All else is of no consequence. Good luck and good
fortune to all!!
rob
HI - as you may have noted, my commentaries have been few and far between of late. I have been a s/h for lo these many years and it is - and has been - quite apparent to me that the historians are staring into the muzzle of reality, while the realists are staring at their swelling stock portfolio of RMSI.
NOt too much to write about, except for the fact that the most recent news makes RIM's success
all but a given. May I suggest that the historians save their howl of derision for other ears since I have all of you on silence. Not that I dis you, but I've heard all that you have to say and current events have rendered you arguments moot, to say the least. Actually, the prime reason why I've sent this letter to the board is by way of reminding all that there are probably many, many s/h's such as I who have remained quiet , even as we continue to accumulate shares, and to thank all of the contributors to the board who have fought the good fight, even while adding to our fundiment of knowledge. We appreciate you.
Sincerely,
Rob
Ernie, I was about to pen pretty much the same post re the questioning of Brad's degree, as raised by Ophelia. After having read all of her posts in that regard, I come away with the FACT that she cannot atest as to whether or not he has the degree.
More to the point she cannot state that he has misrepresented himself as to the degree in question. So it seems - she has raised the subject and, logically
speaking, she has hit a stone wall
as to what to make of it/do with this growing non-issue. That is, it remains an unanswered question about which she is not logically entitled to come down on one side of the matter or the other. If she were to maintain that he has misrepresented himself, she would, perforce, be ethically and logically required to produce info which substantiates her claim. That she has not found any info which decides the matter cannot be used to buttress her stance. A lack of information cannot be used to prove a positive statement. Logic 101, anybody? Habeus Corpus,
anyone? Suspicions? Yes, to that she is entitled just as she might the tooth fairy or Einstein's theory of relativity. One has every right to think whatever one wishes. Einstein's theory wrong? The proof, please. Brad's misrepresenting his educational back ground? THE PROOF, please.
Best wishes,
Rob
Ophelia, if your laughter is uncontrolled NOW (and about which I'm most delighted), just wait until you're on line at your bank cashing in on your clever move - at the last minute, of course - the BEST time) to lay in a healthy supply of Rim.
But watch out: I've known people to dislocate their elbow by patting themselves on the back.
But who can blame you? In anticipation: WELL DONE!! A first class cabin awaits you in the goodship RIM. Party's at six - casual.
Best wishes,
Rob
Ernie - welcome to the "ignores on" crowd. We can say our piece and not be bothered by the rantings of the assorted historians and simply wait for time to bring RIM along to their appointed destiny. While I freely admit to the fact that it is not yet the time to uncork the champagne, at the very least, we should - as I have - stock a goodly amount of champagne and stick it in the cooler when the time is right!! These are parties just waiting to happen. UNtil then,
Best Wishes,
Rob
Westerly, it may be that they are doing paid promotions instead of doing a reverse split, the thought being that the promos will elevate the s/p to (or near) the desired level - whatever they may have in mind - as well as spreading the word about Rim and ^ the # of s/h.
Rob
Wheels, well-written. It gives one pause to consider how a logical person could disavow all of the information now in their/our hands. For that to be a reasonable, logical conclusion to make - that the company is not in the position it now states it is in, i.e., on the verge (weeks? a month or two?) of production of their chip as the last ducks are now lined up, the money needs addressed, the mfr waiting for the finished chip - what must be CAUSING their inability to accept the logical conclusions obvious to all but them? One could conject, but that's a futile waste of time.
As we approach the looming end game, let us tend our own garden,
and let the devil take the hindmost! Good wishes to ALL,
Rob
Cosmo - If I were a naysayer, I'd be putting away all my n's, a's, and y's and calling my broker about this time. The information in this letter provided by Brad is FACT, not IMHO. And yes, the author (Brad) does have a source deep within the company!! I can only hope that this informative letter wil give those on the fence sufficient reason to take the delightful plunge and join us on the USS Rim. As for the others who are historically rooted AND who have an open mind, we look forward to your reasoning leading you to join the fulsome number of RIM investors. There's a lot of money to be made...
Best wishes to all.
Rob
Cosmo, in this, our most imperfect of worlds, as Voltaire
slyly pointed out in "Candide,"
Anticipation all too often is left unrealized and the only thing remaining for us to do is to "tend our own garden" ... while the Rim officers tend theirs. I'm concerned that there will be excessive negative reaction if the awaited announcements are not forthcoming in short order after
the New Year's arrival. It's one thing to be a "long" - as I am - while, at the same time, to expect the company to respond to our "desire for a commercial realization announcement at a time when WE think it SHOULD be made available to us. Believe me, I can understand the unspoken thought that waiting can get old, BUT: not fair to management, and, while understandable, not realistic since we literally have no idea what phase the anticipated information releases are in - at the present time. We are so "loaded for bear" that I can feel the tension rising in the posts which address this matter.
I only hope that cooler heads will
prevail as we continue to tend to those matters which are within our control. Ultimately, we shall be rewarded for our patience. Good health and fortune to us all!
Rob
Ophelia, I thought that Buy__Low's response to your query was remarkably informative and gave you the information that you desired. I was somewhat taken aback by your abrupt dismissal of the information supplied, inasmuch you had done no (apparent) all-consuming research in the matter and state unequivicably that the world does not work like that. I'm going to take a flyer here and make a tentative assumption that you might not have the protean experience to make such a sweeping
declarative generalization, especially inasmuch as you responded to information which you did not research yourself. I am ready to eat humble pie if you can come up with research that substantiates
your certitude. Of course, you'll supply the references and sources for your deus ex machina blinding breadth of information (do you sit at His right hand or left hand?). Thank you.
Rob
Ernie - Precisely my point. The Historians have made less and less sense since they've decried the releases of positive evaluative comments by the CEO's of Telecorps. newly affiliated with RIM and assisting it in its path towards commercialization. As has been laboriously pointed out to them - apparently to no avail - their rigidly-held negative positions do them a great disservice since it, in no way, is a defensible position. We are
expected to believe that they (the Corps) have attached themselves to a bunch of liars and miscreants as the historians continue to tar RIM with a straight face, all to their own defamation. Sigh. Self-destruction is never a pretty picture, especially those of whom one would have expected otherwise based upon their earlier commentaries (which,at one time, dove-tailed well with the flailings of the company). BUT. then is then and NOW....is now.
The company has found itself and bears little resemblance to the company of several years ago. Indeed, it has been a rather startling turnaround, the s/p notwithstanding. Since the company has not entered full bore into their commercialized business, that could hardly be the case - a
rising s/p will simply have to wait its turn. Instead, we now await the synthesis of the chip by eSilicon, thence the volume fab by our (associated) company in Taiwan. These are our new ducks lined up. We've been patient this long, what's a few more months or year or so? Patience is self-recommending! Good luck, good fortune, and good health to all.
Rob
Doughjo, in the AT&T article announcing their plans to move their signals over copper in the bay area, they also announced that their signal will be sent over varying signal strengths, up to 6Mbps and only 1 HD video at a time - for openers. Sooo - if we move things along, the numbers game will belong to US. Talk about David and Goliath.....!!!!!
Rob
Brady, would that all that you opine were so and that man's hypercritical nature could give way to his calmer side and not war with his opposites. Sigh. History tells us elsewise up to this very day. Whether it's Iraq or Rim, there are causes to be fought when the factions see it as such. Fortunately, we haven't lost anyone in our verbal tussles and,
given that we won't, our sparring will continue until events (ultimately)inform us, rather than opinions. Words, indeed, CAN harm us emotionally and this, in turn, gives way to verbal reprisals. That one side sees itself as a guardian of the truth, as defined by them, while their opposite number defends their particular truth, makes for
a kind of guard/prisoner duality
that ascends into a kind of reality as one finds the rhetoric
more heated and less nuanced.
Yes, it is sad, in a way, that this happens even as good tidings are rung out during our Christmas season. If only man could set aside his emotional nature, call a "time out", if you will, and re-discover the peace latent within him/her. But. Man is an existential animal, or so Sartre would have us believe, so he is ultimately dealing with his
inner self as his reality. That kind of determinism regrettably does not allow for a shift in his nature, as much as we'd like to see happen - especially when his warring self holds sway. Let's wish each other a happier, more peaceful holiday season and hope for the best.
Rob
Brady, with reference to your comment that "everyone is free to leave or stay...":
that would SEEM to be the case, except I take a different tack on just why the repetitive responders
who take sharpest issue with the possibility of Rim's success remain as responders not because they wish to, as you formulate it, but: because they HAVE to. The warring has taken hold of the participants; they engage each other in full battle armor, as it were, and have at it as though their words were bullets and go on the offensive and defensive by turns. I do not mean the above as a turn of phrase, but a literal transformation from abstraction to reification - from mere words to the concrete experience of offense and defense. Again, a perusal of Eric Burn's book "Games People Play" will lend a further dimension to my formulation. I take Wheel's
Prisoner - Guards conceptualization to have real meaning in helping to define what has been going on in this board for lo these many years. And yes, there just might be a transformation from prisoner to guard as the Corporate image swings from a caricature of a OTBB, flailing about, attempting to gain hold of itself and come up with a meaningful existence: to become a corporate entity about to accomplish what it has desired to do: to become a fixture in the firmament of telecommunications, all nay/sayers notwithstanding, and all negativities falling by the wayside. And, finally - so as to complete the analogy - we can now ask the question: Have the prisoners become the guards, and vice-versa? Something to consider...
Rob
Corinne, nicely said.
There was a time when I'd take up the cause and respond to those whose historical outlook outweighed all other considerations, up to and including the present day. They played - and continue to play the game of "yes, but..." which, incidentally can be found in Eric Burns book "Games People Play".
One perusal of such games will lead to a further understanding of what makes such gameplayers tick and lead to abandonment of taking up the cudgeols (?sp) and responding in kind. There is no winning, since we divert our energies into other areas of life, whereas they - the gameplayers - pretty much concentrate it into
their monolithic cause. Thus, I
ceded the warfare to those who continue to fight the good fight - more power to all of you and many thanks - and lean back. watching the passing parade, and await the days of celebration soon to be ours to experience in full measure. Whether it be weeks, months or years, time, I believe, is on our side - what with the
revelations which Rim's mgmt. has started to reveal to us. That some deny the existence of what Rim proclaims to be factual is emminently dismissable and not worth discussing, IMO. We have the shares, while they have their demons. But I do wish ALL the happiest of holidays.
Rob
HI, Ben. Right on, and always a pleasure to read one of your informative and knowledgable posts. Would that all posters adopted your sane, perceptive manner of approaching this matter which remains a mystery, wrapped up in an enigma (thank you, Mr. Churchill). As has been previously posited - and opined by many - you seem to agree that the company may well be holding on to their intellectual property tightly lest the boys in the back room (of another corp.)glom onto the layout from innocently - and unforgivably shared - NDA tech information. I gladly forego any intimation of such underlying information being shared in the slightest degree so as to avoid this most egregious of slips which would severely undermine the company's chances at preserving their/our intellectual property to the nth degree. That we are not brought into their
technical confidences means so little as to be dismissible. I look forward to their intermittent releases which detail evidence of forward motion, all comments to the contrary notwithstanding. This
does seem to be a most propitious
time for the company and it is, IMO, THE time for it to share what it feels it can with us without - as cautioned above - jeopardizing our IP. Good luck to all!
Rob
Cosmo, by now it has become patently apparent that the company will be annointed by Those
Who Know Better as Really and Truly having had a Design Win. I am not holding my breath for them to do so, even unto the day of Mass Funds Pouring Into Our Coffers. IN the meantime, let us sit back, enjoy the passing parade, and revel in Rim's steady march forward whilst hearing the musical wails denying its' progress (again , by T W K B - see above). Keep up the good work.
Rob
EW, the clouds did not interfere with the clarity of the order, as stated, for $3million worth of Rim's product. I find it beyond improbable that a going concern would place an order for something which had not been brought to sufficient maturity so as to satisfy their very specific needs/requirements. That you would suggest otherwise led me to re-review the issued statement and I could not deduce, in any way, any indication of what you bring up as to Rim's inadequacy of product for the purchasing company's requirements. If you would kindly indicate to me just what part of the announcement made you believe that Copper was ordering a product that could not fulfill their needs, I'd be most appreciative. Rob
to all longs - this is the day for which the expression "keep the faith" was minted. That great wind that blew over the USA was the exhalation of the collective sighs of relief emanating from our
lungs. It's been tough, holding that in for all these years, but
the pink finally replaced the blue
of my face and people no longer walk on the other side of the street as I approach them. My friends are now calling me up after they received a copy of the announcement of the sale and are now hankering to get back into my good graces - just kidding, of course, since I only told 3 people
whom I kept au courant re the stock over all of these years.
I find it difficult to believe that the announcment of the sale was greeted with disbelief as to its validity by those who had nothing good to say about the company anyway. As a firm believer of res ipsi loquitor (?sp), or"the thing speaks for itself", let's allow the stock to have the last word in the matter, since it does address the core matter (s/p) with far greater eloquence than mere words could muster. Their words now simulate the sound of a tree in the forest falling, but no one is there to hear it fall, just as their contrariness no longer has a subject matter. I feel that the day belongs to the longs who have labored long in the Rim vineyards and are now collecting the sweet taste of its wine. A toast to all of us, esp. those who shouldered the burden of
maintaining a presence on the stock board. My hats off to all of you in appreciation for your thankless labors, save for the sense of being on the right side of the truth throughout. Onwards and upwards!!
Rob
Cobra, this is HOT!! I certainly hope that all past and present s/h's (who see only rack and ruin for Rim) turn their collective heads 180 degrees around to change their direction of view from the past to NOW and join us in welcoming Rim to the future of telecommunications. The more releases from Brad et al we receive, the more it becomes apparent that there is a growing imminence to the appearance of Rim's commercialization phase. Your contributions continue to be appreciated - many thanks.
Rob
Mahinul, I, too, was struck by Rim's ability to survive whatever selling pressure is going on, even creeping up a bit in the process. Not in the least the kind of plunges the naysayers had forecast. I understand that the final word has not been written, but if a 2 million share day can not lead to the dire consequences they had led us to believe, then, one wonders, what will it take for the sell off to occur with the numbers going single digit?
Why would/should potential purchasers of the stock disregard the salutory news that has been our recent experience? We are left to ponder better things in the offing, as a consequence of these PR's and the resistance of the s/p to sinking in the face of the steady diet of ~ million + share days the past few weeks. No, dear sirs/mmes, that light at the end of the tunnel is NOT a train bearing down on us, contrary to your surmises (imo); those are photons emanating from our Sun, glowing brightly and illuminating our future - imo, of course, but what else can it be? The tortured logic heaped upon us by those who conclude otherwise must needs be re-considered in the new light of day. Good luck to all. Rob
doughjo, this announcement may be of greater significance IF it portends RSMI getting into its own chip manufacture (?!). This is strictly speculation , but when one adds up the skills he brings to the table plus the development center's possibilities (assuming it has been used for chip manufacture in the past) - inasmuch as I read that into the info given to us in the announcment, - rightly or wrongly - as a distinct possibility. Pardon the run-on sentence, but my thoughts ran ahead of me! Now that I've caught up with them, I wonder out loud whether anyone else came away with that inference????
Rob
goldrusher, my post was entirely about the announcements and the timing of their release. This was clearly stated and had nothing to do with Brad other than his timing of the releases. By leaving the "releases" references out of your response, then anyone was free to assume that my post had something to do with matters other than the releases and made it appear that I was unsure about Brad's timetable for matters other than that, i.e., readers could easily insert "the chip" and/or whatever other reference came to mind.
That is why I responded to your prior post: So that everyone could avoid the distortions possible from reading your post; that my being unsure was only with reference to the timing of the aforementioned releases and NOT THEIR CONTENT. All of this cyberspace spillage could be avoided by your careful reading of what is written so that the response is pertinent.
Rob
goldrusher...a course in reading comprehension 101
is definitely in order for you. How you arrived at your ill-considered conclusion that I let anyone "off the hook" as to the timing of the releases, or for anything else, for that matter, beggars the imagination. If you would be so kind as to -re-visit my post, you MIGHT see that my total reference was to the timing of the anticipated announcements as regards to whether the initial content might contain ALL of the info we have been anticipating, or whether it might be allocated in PR's ad seriatum (oh, sorry, goldrusher, that means serially ). Because, in the final analysis, either way is totally acceptable to me. Nowhere - in Brad's releases - did he say that ALL of the info was going to be released on a certain date. Given that FACT, how could he possibly have been released from a promise he did not make? Oh, that's right, that would be a logical deduction. Once you are through with reading comprehension, a course in Logic 101 would also seem to be in order. School supplies are
in plentiful suppply and at a discount (at many places) - since this is the time for students to load up on them. Just trying to be helpful...
Rob
HI, IN reading over many of the recent posts, it's an inescapable fact that the majority of those who
have been favorably disposed towards RIM are fully expecting Rim to make some major + announcements come Labor Day or shortly thereafter. I've been one of them, to be sure, yet I'm scaling my expectations back because we REALLY DON'T KNOW what Brad's timetable is! Yes we've been given hints galore that something will happen, and soon (only two "o"'s this time!). It's easy to grab he ball and run with it, and yet...we don't have the ball yet. What I'm saying, basically, is that it might be
A LOT easier on the our psyche and emotions attached thereto were we to dial things back a bit and be pleasantly surprised (hopefully, he said). It would seem that, in our present state of mind, anything less than a homerun will reek of disappointment.
I'm all set for a string of PR's, be they singles or greater, which reveal what RIM has been doing in its sanctum sanctorum these past few weeks/months/years to now lead us forward towards, and into, commercialization. Now there's a mouthful,
but...why not accept the message being delivered piecemeal instead of the whole enchilada, block party and all!? Anyway, it sounds good to me, and my ticker thanks me .
Good luck to all,
Rob
Iam....agreed, as per my previous posting, I do not believe that any PR announcements will be made until after Labor Day. I don't see the benefit of releasing any good news on a Friday, which, typically, is the time to release negative information. I can't escape the notion that mgmt is spending lots of time getting ALL of their ducks in the proverbial row prior to releasing any "Rolling Thunder" PR's. Too much is riding on this, not the least of which is the potential for warring telcos to do their thing(s), ranging from questioning the patents to personal attacks to financial viability, etc. Whatever it may be, (to state the obvious),companies in RIM's position never succeed by underestimating the power of their adversaries to do them in and must take whatever legal (etc) precautionary steps to obviate these possibilities.
Thus the reason for my perhaps cautionary foreboding
yet, ultimately, I look forward to that rolling thunder to start...um...ROLLING and those ducks start quacking! Good luck to all.
Rob
Bill, I've given you your due, what with your early
investments into the company, and then seeing it through its various dances on its way to the present. It hsn't been pretty, but we now find ourselves aty a time when your boards see nothing but scam writ large all over the company Yet, now you say you're are "unimpressed" with the company. UNIMPRESSED?? Is that the term you apply to a company which you have written off as liars and deceivers, scammers and worse? YOu say your heart is "not there", referring to the assignation of
"sour grapes" to it. But then, we see you rejecting a formal definition of an FPGA (as being a chip), decrying it as not worthy of inclusion when one is referring to a chip. Yet THAT (formal) definition was derived frop a recognized (source) lexicography for the industry! YOu cannot countenance that, so you create your own definition, straight from
William's Casual Lexicography, wherein such a "chip"reference to an FPGA is, sacre bleu, missing.
That, Bill, is where your heart is. Whatever is not convenient for you to accept (because it runs counter to Bill's Postulates? hmmmmm) you then reject out of hand. I think we've found where your heart is, Bill. You lost me on that one, big time.
There is no more slack for me to cut for you and I must put you on ignore. I'm sad to do that, since I really believed that you were fighting the good fight, born of historical observations (no matter how applicable or not) and which you could (attempt to) justify therefrom. Might it be that you are seeing the handwriting on the wall? I really don't know. But I am tempted to offer you a blindfold and a cigarette.
Best of luck to you,
Rob
Poorboy, I agree. I'm going to particularly interested in the period immediately post-Labor Day.
All the big boys from Wall street will be back in town, returning from their vacations. There just might be some well-timed releases hitting their desks, courtesy R,S,M, & I. imo, of course. I"d think if they were saving up any BIG news, it would be primed for release about that time. Of course, I hope they prove me wrong by a month or so!
Rob
To those who, at this late date, remain clinging to the notion ithat RSMI is nothing more or less than a scam, you REALLY have to give it to them, what with hiring a technology vice president with vaaaast experience in the design of chips, which just happens to be the precise point at which RIM finds itself. Now all of this could be happenstance
and we'll discover, to our chagrine, that he is somebody's brother-in-law at the office. NOT (imnsho). Well, we will await your discoveries, along with letting us know just when we might expect that downard spiral? Inquiring people...
Best,
Rob
Way to go, buy___low! No doubt you will get flack from the historians who now will have to juggle even more balls in the air. That the chip itself was studied is major news in comparison to the drips and drabs we've had to settle for of late, if any at all. You can bet their demands will now be made that this information has not reached us by a formal source, i.e., a PR or by President's letter or whatever. NO matter. It will eventually find its way to us by mgmt's PR or Pres. letter, imo. All this by way of saying we're good to go and the light at the end of the tunnel is getting a bit brighter.
Best wishes,
Rob
Cosmo, I'm prepared for that possibility!
Rob
Ophelia, it might be as you suggest, or it might be a lending institution or someone else with a need for 3rd party verification and which asked them (RIM) to get it done. In either case, we should find out before too long.
best wishes,
Rob
In such a case, Ophelia, I'd think that the company would have to contact Rim to make sure that the documentation is as advertised, so to speak. What would prevent the company from receiving false information in such an instance, found it wanting in
their report>>>allowing the referring company to turn around and use it against RIM? What? Unlikely you say?Yes I know, but it's a stretch to think that it might happen in the first place, so we have to ponder the unlikely. I'd say this alternate scenario is as likely as you proposition would be to begin with.
Best wishes,
Rob
