Is the upcoming seasonally favorable period for stocks strong enough to overcome a possible bear market?
Will the Halloween Indicator keep a bear market at bay?
Bear markets like to descend a so-called slope of hope, just as bull markets like to climb a wall of worry. So even if the stock market is in a topping-out process now, odds are good that investors’ mood will brighten first before a major leg down begins in earnest.
Wait for one more bounce in stocks before a broad decline
NO this week please and thanks John.
Today, Marty posted the NYA Index going back to 2003 on a chart with monthly ticks. What is clear, is the Bull-Bear cycles since that time when using an 11 Month RSI.
On this chart, you can see when the Bull Market died in 2007 and how the NYA is now perilously close to the same fate now. To avoid the problem, the Fed will need to continue with its QE program and not end it.

Don't forget to reference the pinned post about regression to the trend as it shows how far the rubber band is stretched relative to the long-term trend.
I use is to estimate systemic risk relative to being overbought/oversold. If nothing else, provides you background info to help in your investment decisions. :)
Good Luck hando!

Goodbye I Fund
Didn't like how momentum was fading on the daily charts this a.m. so I pulled the trigger and put 30% into L Income.
At the COB today, my allocation will be 70% G Fund and 30% L Income Fund.
Good luck to all longs!
Are Institutional Investors Buying or Selling?
The Fed is facing a lot of opposition right now, and it is proving costly for them to keep QE money up. Many Institutional Investors are selling into the Fed's buying, so risk levels are rising.
Today's posted chart is part of a larger chart that we post every day for our paid subscribers. The important note here is the trend of Institutional selling activity which shows that it started to trend up yesterday.
Is there anything that could unseat it? ... A lot of buying or Inflowing Liquidity coming from the Federal Reserve could offset the Institutional Selling.
