Just saw your earlier post X; Xena and Punkin - one of the all time greats.
Irish bull, It is seldom, if ever, that I've seen an individual make a mistake or misstatement on a message board and take steps to publicly acknowledge and correct his error. That takes class and real character, my friend, and you have both in spades, and I greatly appreciate your contributions to these discussions.
X, If you have any questions regarding patents, IPHawk is THE man to ask for comment.
X, If you have any questions regarding patents, IPHawk is THE man to ask for comment.
Not necessarily. Haven't studied the patents as have some others, but I would think it possible if not probable that some newer LWLG patents might be continuation patents which have been created based on Fred's original patents.
Yeah, I know what you mean. It's not a crapshoot, and if I had a loose 70 grand, I'd probably start averaging in again, but with the dearth of information coming from management, which may be understandable given there MIGHT be ongoing negotiations in progress, it takes a stronger stomach than ming to buy in right now.
On marginable stocks; not commission-free on pink sheet stocks.
Walter, You are correct. Multi-billion dollar companies are not going to invest a nickel in as yet unproven ground breaking technology until they are satisfied that they're not investing in a pig-in-a-poke. They don't need to; multiple companies are working on a solution to Moore's Law; LWLG appears to be clearly in the lead, and when the big guys are satisfied that Lwlg's technology is the real deal, then and only then will negotiations begin and result in a buyout of - I believe - historic proportions.
With photonic technology comparable at present to LWLG, not simply companies attempting to develop same?? You are correct, there's a boatload of companies working on developing a photonic solution to the problem, but are any at present that you can attest
comparable to LWLG'S level of development?
Ok, I'm all ears - Name the company that has even a slim chance of beating LWLG to market with technology even remotely comparable to LWLG's.
I'm breathlessly awaiting your answer.
Great Bumpkin: Light bulbs were invented in England as early as 1802; Edison patented his improved version of the electric bulb in 1879, 7 decades later. The invention of LWLG's material is not an improvement of existing technology; it is an entirely new technology. At least get it right if you're going to continue to post BS.
I'm glad I'm not Thomas Edison having most of the guys on this board as investors breathing down my neck incessantly asking "When are we gonna get the light bulb finished so we can all get rich?"
Bertjan, we're all understandably impatient to cash in, take our profits, and start shopping for our next yacht, including the BOD and management, who are not getting wealthy on the Director's fees and/or salaries we pay them.
I've been in for 10 years, some much longer, and LWLG's people will make this endeavor a highly profitable outcome for all longs. I have no doubt the BOD has the experience and knows how to close a deal - when it's ready to close - and that will be when all questions and concerns have been answered to the buyer's satisfaction.
Proto, if we sell 10% of LWLG for $50M, that values LWLG at $500M.
Are you serious?
Well X,
That was (if intended) certainly a well aimed shot across the bow if anyone in LWLG'S management reads this message board.
As you are undoubtedly a major shareholder, I would assume you have access to management to ask questions, voice concern, or express displeasure; so have you, and if so, what if any response have you received?
Inversor, thanks for your reply to my post which Bumpkin deleted.
Politicians have bern getting into the mix since 3G. Remember Michelle Lee at the USPTO and where she came from?
Good for you. Do your own research, that's what your mentor did. You won't find that info by asking around on a message board.
And I don't believe Mr. Buffet reached his financial goals via index funds.
Dyslexic fingers
Understood Richard, it's a wierd (to me) British use of the word. Oxford University dictionary has productize; Merriam Webster,(American) does not. I wasn't trying to problemize things, honest!
Richard: Investopedia? That's what you use as a dictionary of the English language? Really??
Productize. Every time Lebby's speach is referenced in that article, I marvel at the Brit's penchant for bastardizing their own language, turning a noun (Product) into a verb (Productize) by simply putting "ize" after the word. In the U.S., I believe that process is known as Ebonics.
I'm feeling like I'm in a bus with a load of youngsters heading to summer camp. Daddy, are we there yet?? Been in this since 2010; you'll know we're there when it's announced, and your impatience and constant prognosticating on WHEN serves only to add to your impatience and frustration, so please guys, knock it off.
I don't see Lebby as a one man band, technical wizard and big picture deal closer in one package. Zelibor is the Chairman, and has a 1.7M share stake (incl. options) and logically (IMHO) should be the big picture guy with the acumen to cut a deal with the "big boys", having Lebby alongside to explain and answer any and all questions on the tech side.
Th, best to think about the present and the future, and let the past be in the past.
Vein, You complete and utter child, give everyone a break and shut the hell up. Enough of your incessant whining.
Walter, You are 100% correct. Thank you for continuing to be a voice of reason and sanity on this board.
Sure vein, lets see here . . . how about one of the big boys invest say, $25M for 10% of the company? That sound like a good deal to you? Think someone's gonna make a better offer than that at this point in time?
Unless and until a company has fully tested the technology and conclusively determined that what LWLG has is the real deal, what is the inducement to invest? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the initial products were out for testing approx two months ago.
One more thing; I'm not investing in a gizmo modulator or whatever; I invest in people, and it's the people at LWLG, both scientific and management that I'm betting on. Hope my option bet pays off; we'll see.
Stay warm tomorrow morning on your paper route!
Thank you again Rambo for reexplaining the obvious, your posts will calm everyone down until tomorrow at 9:30am when the whining will undoubtedly resume . . . sigh.
You're actually old enough to drink?
LOL. I'm now convinced that vein is 15yrs old and took a flyer with his paper route earnings without telling Mom and Dad, and is now in hot water. Shoulda checked with Dad first!
I wonder if George Eastman's investors were continually grousing, "When's he gonna get that damn camera he's been working on for years to work so we can all get rich? !!
You're all a bunch of children waiting for Santa to arrive. ML says "fasten your seatbelts" and you think the pony is right outside the front door waiting for you to ride into the sunset.
Grow Up.
Thanks Rambo. Nice to hear the voice of sanity and reason
I've held a position in this stock for years, how many I'm not sure, as it doesn't matter to me. The amount of wailing and gnashing of teeth on this board over the time I've been watching has ranged from hilarious to absurd.
If you're counting on this to rescue you from penury, or fund your retirement anytime soon, I can only suggest that you might consider that the shares you are holding are not in Procter and Gamble or some steady-as-she-goes widows and orphan's stock.
This is a gamble on a potentially revolutionary technological endeavor. I said this on the board years ago: this is a dollar per share non-expiring option investment. If it hits, some people will become rich (or richer); if it doesn't, it's a washout, so for the love of God, if you NEED this to be a winner, get the hell out and buy a CD with what's remaining in your investment; otherwise, I respectfully ask those who are continually hand-wringing to please grow up and stop the incessant complaining, which provides nothing of value to those who are patiently waiting to see how this venture plays out.
Ok, hispeed, I get the connection with IPNav, but can you please connect the dots on how this info may be relevant to the present?
I share the feelings of optimism expressed by the board, but will feel a greater sense of forward progress when we are notified of portfolio acquisitions that build our patent pipeline.
.... and with last week's Cuozzo decision likely reducing patent values even further, the cost of refilling said pipeline may be less expensive. Buyer's market?
No argument there, but building the pipeline is paramount.
EMI, I would be pleased to see Doug and others on the Board buying shares on the open market as the Directors and Officers of ACTG are doing. That's putting THEIR money where their mouths are, and acting on their statements. A company buys back shares when there is no other business need for excess cash on the books. This is not the case presently. Just IMHO.
