They were spun out of Liquidmetal Technologies back in 2007, as they describe here:

Thanks Jay - appreciate the efforts.
Fricasee, you are correct. I knew of them as solely a distributor, so I was wrong.
I particularly like what I read on the www.macb.ie website under Medical Device Components:
“We supply a range of precision turned parts and Metal Injection Mouldings for medical devices, both from our external suppliers and our in-house manufacturing facility.”
MacB is a distributor, not a manufacturer.
TomTom7,
The email you received with your online proxy contained a link to click to enter the meeting 15 minutes ahead to register at 11:45 EST and it has a control number. You will need that number to sign in. That step is required to keep the meeting open only to shareholders.
From the PR. 10,000 pcs monthly for Dental
https://liquidmetal.gcs-web.com/news-releases/news-release-details/liquidmetal-technologies-reports-third-quarter-2020-results
Management Commentary
Our third quarter results reflect the completion of initial volume production orders under our outsourced manufacturing model. Since July, we have delivered 10,000 parts per month to fill a customer pipeline for a dental application. We expect continued deliveries, at similar volumes, to continue into the middle of 2021. This has allowed us to further validate Yihao as a trusted supplier and technology partner. These successful initial volume production runs are expected to further drive customer confidence in our technology, identify areas of improvement in our operating model, and increase market confidence in the viability of our breakthrough technology in critical fielded products. Concurrently, we continue to execute aggressive sales and marketing programs to add new projects to our pipeline and are developing opportunities for additional licensed manufacturers with domestic operations.
That's a good point Paraclete.
90 and even 120-day terms are very possible. Especially if the customer has the leverage to demand it.
I hope we see some indication of a clear increase, but I don't expect it to be a full Quarter representation of what actually shipped.
This was the first time I DIDN'T say anything during a rise.
Looking forward to when I can safely talk about a sale of a portion.
First purchase was in 2011 at 0.38. Average is now 0.116
So, still in the green, but yesterday was tough to experience. But feel more confident to be invested here than ever before.
Thank you
If anything, he will claim more "Poetic License" as he has in the past regarding conversations he claimed to have had.
Thank you for the effort to report back to us.
The key is if they plan to sell into the US. If they do, then that Market is shut off via US Customs. Parts are held upon entry.
More importantly, complete assemblies containing infringing components can be held. The company whose assembly is held isn’t happy, so they then decide to specify their components can only come from legitimate suppliers. That is where a good PR alerting the industry of a win is important.
So, even if the assembly occurs in China, the ability to ship into the US Market is governed by US law.
That said, if the product will be only sold within China, or some other countries, then there is little that can be done. And I agree that is a big problem.
Wrong, Land Rover won earlier this year in Beijing court:

Thank you for this.
Your timing is right regarding royalties per my experience.
We have 4 royalties due on products we make. Due 30-60 days after the previous quarter based upon what we sold and shipped.
If parts were made in the previous quarter, but not sold and shipped, then no royalty due for that quarter.
More on Omega and Liquidmetal:
"features a sapphire (secured using Liquidmetal in an innovative pressure-sealed bonding process) 9.5mm thick."
https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk/article/omega-seamaster-ocean-planet-ultra-deep-professional-watch
"Obviously it’s not just the case itself that is a concern in a watch for extreme depths, but the sapphire crystal. Omega took inspiration from the loadbearing conical design of the viewports on the Limiting Factor submersible, using LiquidMetal, a material Omega and other brands within the Swatch Group have long utilized, for a “firm yet flexible” assembly. Omega’s patent-pending “hot bonding” technique allowed the watchmakers to avoid the use of more traditional polymer seals and thus reduce the crystal’s thickness."

"To spread the stress distribution, Omega took inspiration from this loadbearing conical design and used Liquidmetal® (a technology used by Omega to create the scales on ceramic bezels) to ensure a firm yet flexible sapphire-to-casebody assembly."

New article today regarding Omega and:
"The sapphire crystal over the dial is one of the places where water ingress is of greatest concern, so the brand used the stress-distributing conical design of the vessel’s viewports. The crystal was further bonded to the case using the brand’s patented Liquidmetal."

Guitar.com review of Martin D-28 posted today.
https://guitar.com/review/acoustic-guitar/martin-d-28-modern-deluxe/
Seems positive, but I will leave the interpretation to the guitar players on this board. (I can barely snap my fingers in time to the beat)
"There’s also something unusual about the bridge pins with their recessed red dots. They’re described as Liquidmetal pins, which is a non-crystalline material that can be injection moulded. This means the pins are cheaper to manufacture than machined metal pins, but they provide a claimed 4dB increase in volume compared to plastic, wood and bone pins."
"Where the D-45 reveals its sonic charms in a subtler and more gradual way, the Modern Deluxe D-28 exhibits its purpose immediately – to combine time-honoured Martin tone with the midrange balance and livelier response that many contemporary players prefer. Impressive stuff."
Foxconn already builds phones in India for Xiaomi.
Wistron makes the SE and 6S in India.
If he quit, he probably left them behind.
If he “quit” and was actually released, he probably has 30 days to exercise the options. If they are underwater, no point in exercising them.
Happy for you.
Andy, it is a National Holiday today - "Tomb Sweeping Day"
One of their engineers came to the company I work for’s booth at the Pacific Design Show in Feb. (LQMT and Engel also at that show, as in previous years).
I specifically asked about this. He was excited, but had no timeline. He expects approval, but it is still ongoing.
I didn’t report this before, because I didn’t think it was any real news. But for those concerned this may have hit a dead end, as of Feb it was still proceeding.
OTW and Rige
"Import Genius" shows the same (8,001 lbs), and a similar shipment on Sept 5th of 16,009 lbs.
"Liquid Metal" in newly launched Lamborghini "Alpha One" phone.
www.lamborghinimobile.com/web/season2_skin/work/4_en.pdf
Describes the side fame as made of "liquid metal". Yes, unfortunately written as two words. However, the description continues to describe the material as "often used in supercars, premium golf clubs, or surgery tools."
Basically, "Body LHS" and "Body RHS" brackets to SAPA in Phoenix.
Same info as shown in Researchfyi's posted link.
Probably 8,000 lbs average over 26 shipments in past 12 months.
It is real. I have an account with "Import Genius", and I just checked.
You can view up to 1 year history. 26 shipments since last August.
Fully agree.
Just coincidence unfortunately. If you search EBAY for "liquidmetal hat" you will find many with that shiny silver lettering.
That blog post is actually some strange rehash of this from 2015:

Up 7.2% right now
You're right Juice
Andy,
LQMT never had a booth big enough for a machine. At the Pacific Design Show in February, Engel had an e-motion 110 there in their booth, but it was running plastic parts.
LQMT had a similar small booth then like they do this week at Javits.

Keith,
We'll see how long your post lasts. When I previously posted this example of what was explained as "poetic license", which I remember you replied to, our posts were deleted pretty quick.
This sums up for me who can and can't be believed.
If anyone is in Charlotte April 4-6:
Liquid Metal Molding
For most attendees of our event, injection molding means melting and shooting plastics. At Molding 2017, Liquidmetal Technologies will discuss its bid to make the molding of metals as familiar to those molders as running polypropylene. Over lunch on Tuesday, April 4, Liquidmetal’s Paul Hauck will discuss advances in the injection molding of metals, touching on the powder/binder/sinter past and what could be its low-viscosity net-shape-parts future (read more about the company's metallic glasses and the former NASA discovery).

Totally agree with you Dogz
Yes. Nothing new to see. New Design Guide # 4, but was told it will be obsolete in 2 months.
They were excited about the abilities Eontec brings for larger parts.
I got more enthused by my Engel conversation.
I spoke with an Engel guy at the Show. They had the e-motion 110 running a plastic part. They said people were asking for quotes for the ability to switch between plastic and Liquidmetal. Toolmakers were also asking about LQMT.
Said they knew LQMT were buying machines for their new facility. He didn't know the quantity.
Quoting more to LQMT too.
