With home office closed where is Canada geting work printed
Hope it is acurate I saw who was on board from SEC filing and then googled them. The one thing that makes me feel good, is that Knightspoint I hope took a beating on what they paid for the stock and what it feel to.
CONTACT INFO FOR BOARD MEMBERS David Meyer and Michael Koeneke are at Knightspoint LLC they are were ones that bought most of CPI stock a few years ago 212-786-6050 Turner White professor at Rockhurst Univerity 816-501-4000 Eric Salus works at Oneida Corp 315-261-3000
As far as who is in WM selling to have pics done, most are wuth Portraits International. They are based in Houston but work in all 50 states. They already had the Sams Club account nationwide and have been picking up the WM stores as CPI closed them.. They work in three stages. First the pre seller signs people up for a session. Two weeks later the photographer shows up and about a week after that the passer or sales person show up with PRE PRINTED product. They pay well but you work one store one week and then move on. In a mero area its OK but others do require travel which they pay for including motel if needed. Check out their web site. It will show they are in Houston but should be hiring all over the country.
kool I am at work will respond when I get home. work at at bank and no way to get to FB here
My first name is Steve I was on the Sears side My RD was Richard my email is sg1254@yahoo.com
formermarketdirector when were with the company I was DM from 2006-2010 also 94-96 and 79-85 If we know each other would like to touch base... I was on the SPS side
I am in VA There was a 2 SPS and 4 WM studios within 40 miles of my house. I have been by all of them. Ther are simply roped off with signs saying they are closed and to go to customer service to get pictures. Good luck to all of you on class action suit. I was let go in earlier rounds of cut backs so I will not be inclued in that. But I hope you all sock it David Meyer and Knightspoint and bleed them for all they are worth. The destroyed a once great company.
AS far as too many lawyers that may be true but keep in mind ther are only 96 followers on this board that is less than 3 percent of those that were let go when the company shut down. So 97 percent probally have not heard of the lawyer from PA who people have posted information on here.
If CANANDA work prints in St Louis and BOA is taking all CPI property as of the 18th where will it be printed, or has CPI shipped the printing equipment out of country to Canada HMMMMM
Question for Canada SM Where have your pics been printed ? St Louis or up there.
is there any activity at 1706 Washington When were you in HO ? I have been there in 2008 and a couple of times before on DM trips
Any body on this board in St Louis ?
SEC Filing say BOA has seized CPI property in US and PR and on or after April 18 will sell it
CPI owes Sears and WM money but keep this in mind. The money rang up in WM went direct to CPI and they owe back rent to WM. The money in Sears was in their system. Sears kept their rent and sent the balance to CPI. So Sears has their money. It would interesting to know if they send anything they owe to CPI or keep all they have.
I am sick at what happened to this company I started back before it went public in the 80s. There was a moral compass at that time. It all went doen hill thanks to David Meyer and Knightspoint. I am so sad that most of you on this board can't remember when this was a great company, not only in how it treated employess but cust too. Back in the days of ERO and WRO anybody out there have a clue what that was.
How is it you can still buy CPI stock
DONT give $$ to a lawyer to file or be part of a suit. The company is broke. There is nothing to pay you with even you win or a class action suit is won. Save your money.
What good is it have the Execs numbers. At this point there is no number that wont go to voice mail.
to prevDM17 were you on the SPS or WM side ? when were there. I was DM on SPS from 2006 to 2010 also from 96-94 and 79-89 . Any former DM or SM from that time out there. you can email me sg1254@yahoo.com Good luck to all of you. From what I have read here most of sound like very great SM
Cameraonastick you are not relying all the facts. First the parking lot is for more that CPI. there are many business in the area. So what if got pizza ? most people is home office have been there for years, It was a nice jesture to get them some pizza. As far as not answering the door it is not the HR customer service or productions peoples job to do that. To not answer the door was upper managements job. Remember that the vast majority of those in home office are just everyday workers like us. They have to now worry how they will pay their bills too. They are not the bad guys you make them out to be
Funny CPI web site has jobs posted as avilable
who is ppa people, what were they selling
I think is a good idea to burn the CD that is not theft unless u take money for it. It is the right thing to do for the customer
Bankruptcy First there are two types Chap 7 is going out of business Chapter 11 is a reorginazatiom with a restructure of debt
Jobs out there for those displaced
For those that looked at
http://www.portraitsinternational.com/newsite/Home.aspx
They are HQ in TX but worke all over the nation Contact them they pay great but you have to travel
As a SPS DM I would have happy to replace my low performers with some of you guys. you have great attitudes on how you value your customers. There are many low volume SPS that CPI would close if Seras would let them. For those of you that can travel look up
http://www.portraitsinternational.com/newsite/Home.aspx
They do Sam Clubs, BJs and are going into the Wal Marts that CPI left. They do family and antique dress up , but they travel from store to store. They hire photographers and sales people. You don't do both.
NOT suprised the DM RD dont have studio experience, thats the way the office is run too. I started out as associate moved up to Sm and then DM. At that time all the people in home office were the same. That was back in the 80s Back then your boss had walked in your shoes so to speak. I was with company 80-88 then 94-2010 as a DM WEnt in the toilet when David Meyer a corprate raider bought the company and gave it to a pharmacist Renato to run
AS a former DM I would like to know the names of the RDs to see if any I know are still with the company. I left SPS three years ago Hard to understand that with all the downsizing thet would have a ratio of 7 rd and 28 dm....
CPI has not been sold. First it would have to have been made public. Second as stock holder I would have been notified. It may be sold soon but not yet
On December 13, 2012, the Company entered into the Ninth Amendment to the Master Lease Agreement, dated as of June 8, 2007, between the Company and Wal-Mart Stores , Inc., a Delaware Corporation, Among other items, this amendment provided that the Company delay lease payments due to Walmart on until April 10, 2013.
WH are the RDs now ? Also orry to all those that lost their jobs this past weekend. I am a former DM with CPI I was let go in the first rounds of the downsizing on the SPS side. I understand that there are just about 25 or so DMs running bothe SPS and PICME and three RD ? I am just curious who are the RD's
Interesting that the CPI website does not metion any studio closings from the past, they still say they have over 3100 studios, also they have a DM position available.
I worked here in the early 80s for SPS as a DM anybody else from that time frame would love to chat. email sg1254@yahoo.com
The company was great then. Sorry most of you only have the current bad times to reflect on. The company was taken over by bean counters who had no experience in the industry. When it was taken over they fired all the senior management, they had all started out in a studio.
I was a dm for over 20 years, This was a great place to work at one time. It went down hill after the new board took over with David Meyer. He got rid of anybody with experience in the industry and hired accountants to run it.
